Awesome stop great customer service Kayla was our server and she was great even got us strawberry lemonade to go. Cobb salad was huge and really fresh. My boyfriend had the cowboy burger loved it and the buns were extra special not the typical bread rustic and not soggy.I want to go back and try the soup it's homemade and looks yummy. We came in this morning to eat breakfast and we were sat down but then forgotten. Then someone came to take our order and she was wanting to talk so fast I guess to get away from us. She was treating us like we were destitute and poor, of which we are not. It just would have been nice to be treated better. We traveled here at least 4 times and each with a great experience but today someone and something was off. I did call the business back and they refunded me money as we were overcharged for our bill as well as being apologetic for a waitresses' actions. Get this... I was recharged for my meal too on top of all this too. read more

Been stopping here for over 10 years on my travels to Eastern Oregon. Has in the past always been great food and wonderful service with gluten free options. Stopped just Friday night and was sadly disappointed. I have eaten here on extremely busy weekends prior and have received much faster service and higher quality of food. Ordered the Cobb salad and received about 2 tablespoons of chicken which was cold, extremely dry and had appearance of being microwaved and processed. Waitress was friendly but not attentive to checking on us. I was brought a small amount of additional chicken which appeared to be an actual partial piece of chicken breast. I do not feel that I received the quality of meal that I have come to expect and receive prior at this restaurant. This is the same exact dish I order every time, but resembled a quality of meal one would expect from a Denny's. Disappointed that this will no longer be my pit stop restaurant when stopping in Pendleton. read more

Roosters doesn't sit right on the highway exits, but its worthwhile to drive a few extra blocks to eat when traveling on I-84. We tried their lunch with a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup and a BLT. Very tasty and filling. Clean, good service and reasonable prices. read more

We stopped here on a trip to CO. Kinda hard to find the place. We saw the sign on the freeway & decided that was our place to stop. But once we exited the freeway we had a hard time finding the place. They are about a mile from the freeway & their entrance is obscured. Their sign is overgrown with trees & bushes. We passed it & had to turn-around and go back. Got seated - had to wait about 10 minutes. 2 waitresses. Nice menu. The inside in decorated like a farm yard. Lots of chicken stuff. My friend ordered ham & eggs with toast. The menu stated it came with homemade freezer jam - that was the hook. NO FREEZER JAM. Just those regular little jam things that are in every breakfast place. We asked & were told they stopped doing it. Bummer. I got a spinach salad that was pretty good but the dressing was to be a raspberry vinegarette & homemade but it was bottled. read more

The whole family enjoyed wonderful service and delicious food. I got the fried steak dinner it totally rocked! My husband got the roast beef pot pie it was incredible!! I highly recommend both dishes. My daughter got the grill cheese with yogurt and my son got fried chicken both kids ate everything! Win win!! After the kids were done with their meals they have the opportunity to get their own desserts out of this fun play barn. They both got ice cream sandwiches. We all left here with smiles. If you are traveling with kids this is a must! We also had a giant piece of paper waiting on our table to color. As we left my daughter was worried about her picture. The bus boy told her he would save it! She left so happy. Thank you to the whole staff! read more

I cannot imagine who rated this place a top spot in Pendleton. It is dark, and dirty and the service is Horrible. the hash browns were grease and white, Aren't hash browns supposed to be brown? Even the menus were grossly covered in dry food. read more

Thick delicious bacon ... need I say more? Okay, okay then. The staff is really friendly and the food is great. I've only had breakfast food here, but it never disappoints. My toddler loves to draw on the paper table covers with the supplied crayons ... as do I. Lol. 10/10 would recommend. read more

We needed to be in Pendleton for some business. I had heard good things about Roosters. What a disappointment. I ordered eggs benedict. The sauce was tasteless and watery, making the muffins wet. The eggs were over cooked--solid hard yokes and rubbery whites. My brother had the tenderloin steak and eggs. The steak was anything but tender. I can say that the wait staff was nice. Super cute place! The staff is very friendly and all of the food (except the cheesecake) is homemade. We got there a little early for dinner, and received our food within 5 minutes of ordering. We had only had soup and salad, but people near us were served quickly as well. Highly recommend the chicken noodle soup, it's filling and absolutely delicious! (on a side note the directions from my iPhone were off by one turn, you could still see it, but just a heads up). Absolute must visit! read more

Stopped in at Roosters as we were driving to Portland. Evidently they only serve breakfast before 10am as we were told breakfast only. Not even 10 min after sitting down another table was seated near us and they were told full menu was available. They could have told us the full menu would be available at 10. Sausage gravy was not very good, there was a insect in my beverage refill, prices are kinda high as it was just breakfast. Waitress was not friendly, cashier didn't ask how our visit was. read more

Every time my husband and I come to Roosters, we are always "forgotten" about! Like today, we came to Roosters for lunch/dinner and our hostess said "Your server [hidden info.] will be with you in a moment for drinks and orders" and we sat there for about 20-30 min waiting to be ordered on. I grew up in Pendleton and never been there until finally went in Summer 2008 and It was really good...and interesting place. They seated us 5 people and there was a paper over the table so they provides crayons to draw on. I can't remember which one I ordered...Shrimp Alfredo something like that and it was DELICIOUS! Just perfect tasting. Prices are pretty a little pricey. I would love to go back again with my family. read more

When you advertise yourself as the best in town, you'd better darn well be the best in town! Roosters is your average American style diner but what makes them unique in my opinion is their advertising. I was on a road trip coming back from Boise to Seattle when we started seeing the billboards. We passed three huge billboards along the highway all boasting about Roosters. It was early morning and we were hungry but when on a road trip, you want to try new experiences so we made it a point to seek out Roosters. Afterall, the billboards make it seem like you'll be making a mistake if you don't. We finally go to the exit and then found out that Roosters is a bit off of the beaten path. Not too far off but definitely conveniently next to the highway. It was a Monday morning and the crowd was thin to non existent but we figured that it was because it was a work day. Later we figured it was probably because of the food. I have to give them credit for the coffee. It was delicious and they even sell bags of it to go for you to make at home in our own coffee maker. The rest of our breakfast though was another story. I always order the chicken fried steak and eggs when trying out a new breakfast joint and this place does something that I've never seen done with this dish. First of all, the breading on my meat was way over cooked. Nearly black in some spots so either the oil in the fryers hasn't been changed in way too long or my steak was just in the fryer too long. I didn't complain because I actually like a few things over well and the actual steak inside of the breading was cooked nicely. Go figure. Here's the weird part. They put my steak on top of a puddle of gravy. Unconventional for sure and they lose points for it in my book because it wasn't easy to eat it that way and still have a nice amount of gravy in each bite. Our biggest complaint was the eggs. I had 2 over medium and my travel partner had an omelette and in both cases, the eggs looked as if they were deep fried in a vat of oil. There were literally puddle of oil on and around our eggs pooling up and dripping off. Not very appetizing to have to sop up oil from your eggs with a napkin before you can eat them. For as hungry as we both were when we entered this place, we both left over half of our food uneaten on our plates. I think that next time we make that road trip, we'll just stop at Denny's instead. We love coming here we stop every time we travel from Idaho Falls to visit our grandchildren in Portland. The staff is always attentive and friendly. The food is wonderful and although a bit pricy for seniors the portions are plentiful. read more

Food took almost 30 movies to arrive. $15 steak was overcooked, but the waitress never bothered to come back and ask us how everything was, so I ate it anyways. Stopped here after a long day traveling for dinner. My daughter had the fettuccini with chicken and enjoyed it. I ordered the small portion of pot roast with grilled vegetables & potatoes. The food was dropped off at the table & our waitress was nowhere to be seen. I finally got someone's attention so that I could tell him I didn't care to eat my entree & wanted him to take it back. The gravy was a gelatinous glob covering the plate. I could lift it in intact with my fork. I did eat the grilled vegetables. The waitress came to the table & told me they were going to 1/2 off for the uneaten meal. I politely told her that was unacceptable as I did not eat it, but would be willing to pay for the vegetables I ate. Seriously?! They ended up removing my entree from the bill, but I shouldn't even have had to ask. I wouldn't recommend stopping here. read more
