Stopped in here the other night with some friends and aside from smelling like cigarette smoke we had a good time. It was decorated nicely for Halloween. They have a pool table and other patrons seemed to be having a good time. Our servers name was Cloud and she was super friendly and attentive. Cloud assisted us in making our beer choice, which was Basquatch Hazy IPA, we each had 2. She said her favorite was the mozzarella sticks, so we started there. A gentleman from the kitchen came from the back and suggested we have a cheeseburger, which was only $6. My friend and I split it in half because neither of us were real hungry, it was cooked perfectly and was quite tasty. One of my friends came a little later and she had already eaten before her arrival. Root's is a smoking bar. Their food is pretty good and cheap! Bartenders are super nice and they have daily stuff! Mondays are 5$ dinner, it changes weekly. Tuesday's are taco Tuesdays and taco's in the pic are 1$ each! Wednesday is bingo, Thursday is karaoke! Happy hour is 5-6 and drafts and liquor drinks are bogo if they are under 6$ (which most are)! read more

Went in to meet up with a friend, and it was a very quiet mellow place for a Monday. Drinks are good and have a very good price of $3 beers. They have pool tables and game machines. It's Caldwell, so they do smoke inside. Other than that, it's not bad. They have a jukebox, so I was able to play my music. read more

The new kitchen is now open! Delicious burgers, (the wasabi jalapeño bacon cheeseburger is my favorite!). Foot long sausages, Chicken wings, finger steaks, and many other selections all prepared with a wow! factor in mind. Very reasonable prices and great food and an amazing selection of liquor and beer. You can't go wrong. I highly recommend Tuesday Taco Night. For $5.00 you'll get 3 pulled pork tacos in a great chili wasabi sauce, a huge helping of refried beans and Spanish rice. At Amano down the street they charge extra for beans and rice with a healthy helping of bitchiness thrown in. At Roots you will get great drinks, great food, and wonderfully warm and friendly service. Do yourself a favor and grab some good food and drink at very reasonable prices. read more

We used to love this place. We would shoot pool and throw darts all the time with family. Food is pretty okay and the drinks were good prices. But my mother in law was kicked out after being asked about her service from another waitress and then explaining she's been waiting for 45 minutes for her food. After making a joke to her husband about a tip and how she'd been ignored for an hour, and her food ordered was forgotten to be put in. The waitress that has been in shift for 10 minutes, turns and defends the other waitress and then proceeds to immediately close the tab. I witnessed both waitresses and the bartender gossip about it and point at her from across the room. It was a bummer since we liked it so much but rather than the waitress who initially made the mistake apologizing, someone else had to do it for her. It was a busy night and she was working alone which is fine but her lack of time management and inability to handle her own mistakes leaves us now going to Verns Tavern from now on. read more

We came here for my dads 60th birthday on a Sunday night and wow we are all blown away! What a great time!!! We sang karaoke and drank, but the service was amazing and we left with amazing memories! The service was top notch and the Karaoke was such a great time! We will be back the next time we visit Caldwell! read more

Absolutely LOVE this quaint establishment! The owner is full hands on and an amazing gem i have the privilege of knowing! Shuffle board is so much fun! Wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Fun atmosphere and always having big events going on.

I loooove this bar! Just moved to Caldwell about 3 ish weeks ago and we went to only one other bar, but this bar is way better! The bar tenders are so cool and friendly! I felt very welcome! Pretty close to my house too! So all's the hubs and I have to do is ride our bikes into downtown and park them at the Indian Creek Plaza then walk down Kimball towards main and take a left and it's just at the end of the 2 blocks in that area. Real close! Tim, Shelley, and Joel are really nice people! They're pretty damn cool in my book! Haven't tried any food here yet. Just know they serve $6 pizzas that they cook in the back. My favorite bar in town, everyone is so friendly. The karaoke on Thursdays and the parties thrown there are stuff legends are made from.

Whenever our friends try to agree on a bar to go to for the night, we always end up at Roots because we all love it there. So many great memories and so many we still have to make.
