If you know, you know. And when you do, you'll have the time of your life…read more Heads-up, the signage of this classic 1920's themed bar is minimal. There's a small sidewalk sign and then you have to figure out how to open the door from the street. Once inside the small butcher shop, you gotta figure out where the secrete passage is. Once inside, you'll be blown away by the vintage 1920's ambiance. There's approximately 4 or 5 stools at the bar and several seating areas with plush sofas and overstuffed chairs. If you prefer a table with chairs, they've got that, too. Whatever you like, you can find a comfortable seat to enjoy your cocktail. The cocktails are masterfully made and served up in classic vintage glasses. I enjoyed a Dirty Gin Martini and a Rye Manhattan. Both cocktails were smooth as silk and the presentation was stellar. I gotta go back and have another Martini, I forgot to take a picture. It looked so good, I just started drinking. When I typically order a Martini, I tell the mixologist to "make it skate". Chatting with the bartender about what Gin to use, I forgot to request that detail. To my delight, when the cocktail was placed in front of me, it had the "make it skate" detail. I love that thin topping of ice chips on my martini. While sipping classic cocktails, sometimes you need a little nosh and The Speakeasy has that, too. I choose the Spinach Artichoke Dip and it was rich in flavor. The mixture of the artichoke with the spinach in cream cheese went perfectly with the super thin crackers. I hope they are still offering it when I go back for another martini. The two bartenders were exceptional. Both of them were very personable, making my time sitting at the bar enjoyable. If you haven't been, go find The Speakeasy and then you'll know.

I ordered one of the gin specials as it was National Gin Day. The drink was delicious and beautiful, so I ordered two! This is my kind of place, darker and quiet without too many people, and a super fun ambiance. The bartender, I believe she said her name was Carrie, was very helpful and friendly. I ordered the charcuterie board and it was beautifully presented and large as well. I will be back, with friends!

Then garlic cheesy bread to toasted ravioli. Then a shrimp in sauce. Followed by bone in wings. The wings I believe were buffalo style. The garlic Cheese bread was amazing. But I had to behave. lol more food was coming. We had their house side salad which was nice and refreshing. Then the main food was set up more cater style. You had the options of moscaholi, tortellini, chicken Parmesan, and a beef bruschetta? All were good and fulfilling. Then they ended it with cheese cake. Huge slices we had food left over they allowed us to box up the rest to take home. To drink I had a Bellini which was nice and refreshing. Some of my coworkers had the chocolate martini they loved a lot!! I'd love to go back on my own time to eat here. I've heard great things about their egg plant... Parking is street or there's a lot in the back area. I love their Tiffany lamps in the main dinning area. We sat in the back room that's used for events. If your company has a party here. They did great!!

We called a little before 5 and we're able to get reservations for 6 @ 630. Our table was ready for us with waters and all when we walked in. There is no printed kids menus, but from my understanding any of the dishes can be made into a kids portion (it's definitely small). The food was delicious. All tasted fresh and on point. I loved the decor of black and white photos of years past and how they share the history of the restaurants. It was definitely busy and I believe it is all street parking.

I came back to try one of their smash burgers. I went with, The Heritage. It had Gouda Cheese and…read morebacon. I like Gouda Cheese and it's not offered on a burger at many places, so I took advantage of this opportunity. Adding bacon to a burger is a no brainer, so the pairing was a winner. For a side, I went premium and enjoyed a side of house-made onion rings. OMG! These rings easily make my top three onion rings. They were huge, sliced thick, the onion still had a snap and the seasoning on the breading was super peppery, which I like. They offer a good variety of draft beers and we all know a cold beer goes well with a smash burger. My bartender was friendly and attentive. She was hustling serving the bar and tables in the bar area. She made everyone feel welcomed. When in Collinsville, I'll be sure to stop by again. They're adding pizza to the menu and I'll have to give it a try.

Catfish 10 out of 10!! Seasoned great! The tartar sauce had to have been made in house! Was very flavorful Onion Rings 9 out of 10 they were stuck together and hard to get apart, but tasted amazing Slaw 10 out of 10 hint of a flavor I couldn't figure out maybe sour cream but very flavorful! Ranch dressing KILLLER!! 10 out of 10. Baked Beans 3 out of 10 disappointing. Very bland. They were fresh beans but needed more seasoning or something. They weren't very busy so it was pretty quiet overall but they have Touch Tunes so that was nice. Waitress (Madison) super attentive, friendly, 10 out of 10 for her! We will be back to see how they evolve!!
