He took X-rays, examined the tooth carefully, consulted with us, and explained our options every step of the way. He initially performed a composite build-up on the front tooth and honestly it looked incredible -- you would never have known there had been an accident. What stood out most was his honesty and attention to detail. Rather than simply continuing treatment, he noticed there could potentially be a root fracture and immediately shifted directions because he wanted to make sure the treatment plan was right. He coordinated care with Dr. Frankie, who specializes in same-day implants. When we met Dr. Frankie, one of the first things that stood out was how down-to-earth, understanding, and empathetic he was. He immediately made my boyfriend feel comfortable during what was already a stressful situation. One thing he said really stayed with me: he would never do anything to my boyfriend that he wouldn't do for his own mother or family. I found that incredibly commendable because it showed genuine care and integrity. It truly felt like everyone involved was thinking outside the box and trying to determine what was best for my boyfriend and, most importantly, trying to save his natural tooth if possible. We later went to Micro Dental Lab in Livermore for color matching, and even there we experienced the same kindness. As soon as we mentioned Dr. Dobee's name they immediately knew who she was. We were treated with such warmth and even given a tour of the facility near the end of their shift, which was incredibly thoughtful. It had to come out but due to a very bad experience a few years ago I was absolutely TERRIFIED!! Dr Dobee and the entire front and back office team worked with me to assuage my fears and get me in the chair. I had never heard of the technique she used but I have to say it was the most gentle and non-traumatic experience I have ever had with a tooth extraction. I actually came to Dr. Weisman for a second opinion. I started having some pain in a tooth while eating and my dentist at the time said she didn't see anything wrong with it (no decay for example) and suggested to "wait and see" as maybe it was inflammation or something. I wasn't satisfied with that and arrived here. Dr. Weisman explained how it is possible there could be a crack in the tooth that can't easily be seen, but pressure from chewing can affect it and cause pain. He then explained there is something he can do to test and see if that might be the case. Well, it certainly seemed to be! We scheduled an appointment to come in and have it fixed. Literally two days before the appointment, a portion of that tooth broke and so he was right and I am glad I had sought out another opinion. The next thing I want to call out is this: I am someone who has had a LOT of anxiety around the dentist for a variety of reasons. I would always need nitrous oxide if I was having anything done other than a cleaning, but that is not the case here! I always feel comfortable coming in and I don't know how Dr. Weisman does it, but the novocaine is always nearly painless. Everyone else in the office is also great. Everyone seems to support each other and help each other. There is a warm and comfortable environment here.
