It's a little local shop for take out, light groceries and dine in. We wanted to eat somewhere quick but not wanting to do a sit down restaurant. This was perfect. Brent was so nice and helped us a lot. We got the special sandwich and made our own pasta with meatballs, vodka sauce and fettechini. We added a large garlic bread and coke. Next time we will only get one of the Mel's because we only finished half of each. It's made to order so you'll wait but it's worth it. OBSESSED with Rosanna's. We split the meatball sub and caprese panini with prosciutto. Easily the best sandwiches I've ever had. The meatballs were juicy and well seasoned, topped with the most delicious, melty mozzarella. The caprese panini was so flavorful and all the textures, freshness from the tomatoes and basil, and heartiness of the mozzarella and prosciutto came together for each perfect bite. Then one of my other coworkers retiring catered lunch from here, and the trays of lasagna converted me hard. What I ordered for one lunch actually lasted me two and change... Spinach ravioli, bolognese with veggies Small Caesar salad Second time I had a fettuccine Alfredo and added veggies and chicken- it felt like holding a brick in my hands. I balked initially at the price but when I saw the amount I was given I was very happy. It tided me through lunch, my toddler's dinner, and our meal together the next day for lunch. I came back this week and even though it's a pasta shop, I just had to try their Philly sub. Omg the way they toast the bread is reminiscent of those French bread pizzas you had in childhood, but like 10 times better. So incredibly satisfying and heartwarming. The folks who work here run an efficient business but they're also very patient with first timers. And I felt welcomed back on subsequent visits- this place feels like a neighborhood institution. We have gone to Rosanna's for years and generally enjoy all of their food. Today's antipasto salad was exceptionally good and we got an extra 2 ounces of dressing. That was a good idea. Service is always good. Food is usually good but pricy. Although it's hit or miss for me with the eggplant parm. It's usually a really good meal except when I once received all eggplant skin so I stopped getting that dish. Now I just stick with the basics like pasta. Then there's the Sfogliatella today which is just plain awful. It's so crispy I can barely chew it. I'm not sure who's cooking but this isn't good. All their pasta is made fresh and absolutely amazing. There isn't much space to eat there, so it's best to get to go. They also have great options for frozen pastas to make at home, and fresh sauces if you'd like to cook at home. They also have cheese, some desserts and a little Italian food shop inside. This is my second time here and it's just as good as I remember 5 years ago! The employees are very helpful and even walked me through how to place my pasta order. I started by selecting my sauce first (step 2) - then picked a pasta (step 1) - and added protein. I also ordered the 10" margherita pizza which was DELICIOUS and the perfect size for 2 ppl. We also got a large garlic bread ($5). If you love garlic, you won't be disappointed! Location. They are in the same shopping plaza as Vons, Starbucks and Pepboys - but hidden in the northwest corner of the shopping plaza (in between a nail spa and pool store). There's plenty of parking in the plaza. You can get everything from a custom pasta dish, to a panini, pizza or even a salad. You can even take home their fresh made pasta (and sauces) to cook up yourself at home. The have a huge selection, so make sure you look around! I actually forgot to order some spinach linguini to bring home, but that just gives me a reason to come back. This local, authentic Italian spot is as good as it gets! read more
