This was our first time in, we visited the popular taco shop a couple doors down and been wanting to try this pizza spot. Superb, great gourmet pizza specialty by the slice. We had come up to go to a different restaurant, and found ourselves in the middle of a street fair. Not knowing where to eat, we were wandering back down the other side of the fair and I spotted Gelati. I was first introduced to the North Park location, and this is their second one that has been open a little over a year. The inside is really cozy. There's a spot to order the pizza and a spot to order gelato. But they seem to make it work! There's a hallway that separates G&P and Rosemaries next door, and we grabbed a table there. Went in and ordered the pepperoni, lasagne, diavola, and meatball slices. I didn't understand why this family of five had to all be there? And since they were standing in line, why they didn't know what they wanted since it's all in the case. Ok, maybe I was a little hangry, but still...LOL! Edit: No, I am sharing my personal experience. You may not agree with it, but that does not make it untrue. Each time I told him I was willing to purchase a beverage, he insisted that I had to complete the purchase before he would provide the restroom code. I had to repeat myself several times before he finally gave me the code. At which point I was done being degraded and left. That was my experience, and it is an accurate account of what occurred. I was a long time customer of Rosemaries, but seeing as they do business with your company, that has officially come to an end. First and foremost, I have never chosen to eat here because there are consistently flies on the pizza, which has always been a concern for me. However, I urgently needed to use the restroom and understand that many businesses now require a purchase before allowing restroom access. I explained to the male employee several times that I was more than willing to purchase a beverage; I simply needed to use the restroom first because of my disability. Despite explaining my situation, I was repeatedly refused access unless I paid first. I had every intention of becoming a paying customer, but the lack of compassion and flexibility was both humiliating and degrading. As someone with a disability, I found this experience deeply upsetting, and I question whether the way this was handled was consistent with California's disability accommodation and restroom access requirements. read more
