This is the (first time), I placed my order with this New Italian Restaurant it is called Maggiano's Italian Classics Restaurant. I placed my online home delivery order on the Door Dash.com APP on my Apple iPhone XR at 12:10 p. m. this afternoon. My promised delivery time was at 12:58 p. m. and my Dasher Delivery Driver her name is Daniela D. Then I ordered (one quantity) of Baked Ziti it is filled with (Italian Sausage, Marinara Sauce, Penne Pasta, and Mozzarella Cheese) used for the topping. The price was $12.99. Then I ordered the Caesar Salad. The Price was $5.99 and I added the (Grilled Chicken Meat) the cost $2.00 extra. This Caesar Salad included (2 small containers) of the Italian dressing. Then for my dessert I ordered (one quantity) of the Blueberry/Lemon Hand Pie it includes the Lemon Zest with the Tart Lemon Icing that is drizzled on top of the Blueberry/Lemon Hand Pie. The Price is $3.00. The subtotal was $21.98. I was able to eat the Blueberry and Lemon Hand Pie this afternoon. The Blueberries were sweet and delicious! The Lemon zest with the Lemon icing was a flavorful combination with the Blueberry hand pie. It was a nice refreshing treat after I ate the Baked Ziti today for my lunch time. There was NO CHARGE on the (home delivery fee) which it would usually cost me $6.99 it is almost $7.00. This FREE Delivery Charge made me happy today! The total amount of the bill is $26.21. I was charged the Dasher Delivery Driver Fee of $5.00 on my credit card account today. This bill is separate from the restaurant bill that is paid directly to the Dasher Delivery Driver Daniela D. The Grand Total came up to $31.21. This bag was sealed for Safety Reasons due Covid-19, when I received my Food Order at my front door. Then I unpacked all of the Food that I had ordered today. The Baked Ziti container was HUGE. I received a very generous portion of this Baked Ziti dish in the container. I placed (one scoop) of Baked Ziti on a large plate and then I heated up this Baked Ziti in the microwave oven for a few minutes. This Baked Ziti came with one garlic bread stick. I took bites of this Baked Ziti and it was very delicious! This Baked Ziti included the (Italian Sausage, Marinara Sauce and the Penne Pasta). The Garlic Bread Stick was very flavorful with the garlic on it and the bread stick was soft and chewy. I took half of the Caesar Salad with the Grilled Chicken Meat on top of this salad with crunchy Croutons, Mozzarella Cheese, and the Italian Dressing. The Grilled Chicken Meat was very tender and delicious. The Caesar Salad was delicious with the Italian Dressing. I still have more than half of the container of the Baked Ziti dish left over in the container to eat later tonight for my dinner meal. I was TOO FULL to eat my Dessert which is the Blueberry/Lemon Hand Pie. I love the combination of the Blueberry Pie with the Lemon Zest and the Lemon drizzled icing on top of this Blueberry Hand Pie. I also love Italian Cuisine!. I would highly recommend ordering this (Italian Food) on their menu from this Maggiano's Italian Classics Restaurant. Their Baked Ziti with the Caesar Salad was really good. I received a generous large size container of the Baked Ziti and also a large size portion of the Caesar Salad. I also received (excellent customer service) from the Door Dash.com Home Delivery Service today as I always do and I am very satisfied with the Door Dash.com Delivery Drivers. These drivers are always very friendly and polite to me when they drop off my food orders. I highly recommend Maggiano's Italian Classics Restaurant. This was a very bad situation... The lack of care taken was evident due to these guys screwing up even the most basic things. Where do I start? The Spaghetti & Meatball w/ Marinara was no better than one you would find at a church potluck dinner. The marinara lacked flavor and was possibly out of a can due to the separation of water and tomato sauce in the corner of the dish. Furthermore, the meatball had a strange consistency. It was like a Chef-Boyardee meatball, so it was clearly not worth the price. The breadsticks were stale as well... How is this possible? Is the bread being stored in paper bags overnight in the refrigerator? This could have been out of the package from Food 4 Less on the discounted stale bread rack. To top it all off, the House Salad was so horrid, with wilted brown lettuce, day old tomatoes, and red onions that were turning white and chalky around the edges. The salad was thrown together in haste and looked like the worst salad that I have ever laid eyes on. If I would have knocked on any random door in the neighborhood, I probably would have gotten a better salad. I have been house-sitting my parents home in Otay and on our last night my husband and I ordered Doordash from Maggiano's Italian Classics! Through Doordash they offer a 20% discount of orders of $15+ after some review the food looked really good! For our starer we chose the mozzarella marinara and for our mains I chose the baked crab and shrimp alfredo while my husband opted for the fettucine alfredo with a chicken, each plate comes with a breadstick and my husband also ordered the Hershey's double chocolate hand pie. When our food arrived I didn't expect too much but I was thoroughly surprised at the amount of food we received, I think with tip our total was $46.17! The mozzarella marinara was so impressive, think slices of mozzarella breaded then covered in marinara! At $7.99 this was so good, you could cut up each slice into fours and have a mozzarella stick party they were so good! My husband was in absolute awe by it! Then my pasta, such a generous portion of crab and shrimp. The pasta came in an aluminum tray and when I started stirring the contents you could see how steamy and hot it still was even from the drive! My husbands pasta was good too. The breadsticks are good, super soft and was a perfect vessel to dip into the mozzarella marinara! The restaurant forget our hand pie I wish we would have been able to try it. I ordered the family meal for 4. We couldn't eat it. It was legitimately so disgusting we could not eat anything but the pie. The salad was BROWN! The red sauce on the ziti was nasty and the ziti itself was so overcooked it must have been sitting in a pot of water all afternoon ... These can not be Maggiano's recipes! I have always felt no one can mess up Ck Parm, but wow, so not true!! Their chicken parm was so salty even after taking the breading off it was too tough and too salty to eat...and I love salt! Same with the Alfredo... like old salty glue. The entire meal was literally the worst meal we have ever ordered from anywhere! I was excited to see the name Maggianos was now delivering but by now you can imagine my disappointment that Maggianos in Scottsdale sold out to Chilis whom completely ruined their image. I ordered Spaghetti with a meat ball and this dish was the worst and almost made me vomit the meatball was dry very salty and had the taste and consistency of dog food seriously I wouldn't lie. It was also very spicy and very very salty like to cover up something. It didn't taste right at all. The food was packed on its side in the bag instead of just giving another bag and the alfredo sauce literally tasted like it came from a jar and was mixed with dirty water? The baked crab alfredo had crunchy noodle pieces in it and yet the sausage pasta was so mushy it broke into pieces when you tried to use a fork. I like the chicken fettuccine Alfredo a lot, the sauce I understand can be thick for some people but I like that they put a lot of sauce that you can dip their soft and delicious breadsticks in. I've never been to maggianos and have only ordered from them through DoorDash but I haven't been disappointed. I prefer this Alfredo over the one you get at olive garden. They also put a lot of perfectly cooked chicken in it if you request it. The To-go packaging is really nice, the flavor is the best though. I love this place and I've never been there. I order from Doordash and it was delivered quickly--BUT--How do you mess up spaghetti and meatballs? Well, Maggiano's can tell you! The meat sauce had a super weird taste--like waaaay too much of a particular spice I couldn't put my finger on (and I make EXCELLENT bolognese sauce--just ask my neighbors who beg me for it!). Second, the one and only meatball (thank GOD there was only one!) was hard as a rock, tough to chew and I took 2 bites and left it. Ugh! Very overcooked and almost burned to a crisp without looking burned (go figure). I've ordered from here before and it was good. Don't know what the hell happened here!! I hope they go out of business. Completely deceiving advertising. Ordered the baked penne that's supposed to have a meat and cheese bolognese sauce. What I got was a very small portion of noodles barely covered in sauce and one bite of cheese/meat sauce. The portion was so small I'm still hungry (and I'm a small person so for me to think the portion was small....). Didn't taste good, showed up cold. Since it was delivered in a timely fashion it was obvious that it started out cold and was delivered to me anyways. Seriously felt like they just dumped leftovers into my bowl and gave it to the DoorDasher. To top it all off, it didn't even taste good. As a frequent door dasher take out, this store's food is a 5/5 on a good day and 2/5 on a bad day. It's like there are two chefs, one that cares and includes all the ingredients posted on the menu and one that doesn't give a crap as long as it passes as food. You just have to pray that when you do order, you get the good chef. For example, I'll order the penne al la vodka with meatballs. The good chef will add the right amount of generous sauce, cheese and meat. Sometimes will include an extra meatball with warm bread sticks. The bad chef will add much less sauce, no cheese, no meat and dried meatballs with hard bread sticks or no free breadsticks. It's possible they ran out of ingredients? But why wouldn't they call and ask for an alternative or add more to the meal? I hope Magiano steps up and hires the good chef full time. read more

Ordered on DoorDash for dinner. Thought we'd try something new. The Mozzarella Slices were soaked in the sauce upon arrival, very soggy. May I suggest packing the sauce separate? Also the crab and shrimp pasta bake was very dried out, no sauce at all, very clumpy. And way too much bacon, over powered the flavor of the seafood dish. Breadsticks were stiff and unflavorful. My husband's Chicken Parmesan was very mediocre. We were both in the bathroom by the end of the meal, not a good sign. Will not be ordering again. read more
