I've been a customer ever since we moved in to our home in Hanover 9 years ago and learned that is whom our neighbors use so we signed up. We've used them for pumping/maintenance and to evaluate the leech field when a tree fell over on it. This is the first time we had a real issue. Over the weekend the alarm for the septic pump started sounding. We did some basic troubleshooting at home and verified the water level was high but with some capacity so we avoided using the drains as much as possible and called first thing Monday. Rich was already working on a job in Hanover and was here just a few hours after we called. He walked me through the control box and the testing that he was doing. I let him do his work and he reported back that one of the floats was acting up and literally needed to shake it to get it to turn on. He recommended replacing at least that pump and to consider replacing the others as they work in tandem. They were $110 each for materials but the labor wouldn't really change whether he replaced one or all 3. I asked if it would also make sense to replace the pump given that it is 9 years old and I saw most pumps have a lifespan om 10-12 years. He talked me out of that. He explained that the pumps are expensive and the one I had is likely between $1,500-1,800 and he never recommends replacing pumps proactively. Use it until it dies and while he has seen them go in the 10-12 year range he has seen them go much longer. So squeeze as much time out of it as possible. When Rich got everything pumped out to the right level he took the time to show me the water levels within the chamber so if I ran into this again I would have a reference on what "normal" and "high" look like. So Rosano Davis came out and was able to get everything fixed the same day I called, gave me the option on the minimum to fix the issue, what he recommended, AND talked me out of spending extra money on replacing the pump unnecessarily. I wasn't home when the service was "completed" last year, but my security camera captured the entire visit involving a 1,500-gallon tank. I shared the footage with the owner. The technician arrived, dragged the hose, uncovered the lid using a drill, pumped, replaced the lid, cleaned up, and left--all in 7 minutes. Yes, from arrival to departure. The tech seemed like a good guy, but I strongly recommend being home during service so you don't get shortchanged. This year's inspection revealed the tank was on the verge of a backflow situation--the first time in over a decade. Owner Paul wasn't there during the service but stood by what was seen on video. Sometimes I wait 7 minutes just for a coffee at Dunkin'. Whatever the reason--maybe the truck was almost full--I feel like I got hosed. read more

Pandemic pooping. It happens. A lot. Not that we hit critical mass or anything, but it reminded us that a septic pumping was probably in order. Their quote for our tank was the second most expensive, but they had the most immediate availability, so we considered the excess a convenience fee. Our tech arrived on time, easily uncovered our access port, did the deed, and gave a breakdown of the "findings" at a proper social distance. He also suggested a install risers to avoid future dig fees, and to replace the cracked access cap. I gave the okay, and a second team was out later in the afternoon to get it done. No, this review isn't about some unreal dish or a dry ice cocktail that gets all the likes, it's about clearing out a poop tank. I think other people have talked about their price being higher than others, but I found them to be completely competitive. That said, they were incredibly above and beyond relative to my situation of being very pressed for time. They delivered on very short notice, and even called me to ask if they should come earlier when it was going to rain on my appt date. The inspector was a complete gentleman, letting me know about some thing which needed to be remediated, something which would otherwise show up on my report...who then came back for 2nd inspection after it was taken care of at no extra charge to me. And then when I made a reporting mistake after everything was done and mailed to the Board of Health already... once again I was pressed for time (to list my house for sale), and Rosano Davis delivered, going out of their way to accommodate me. Very unhappy about this company as they showed up with a dog running all over our property. The lady I spoke to on the phone said that nothing from the septic would touch the ground. She lied because they dragged the dirty hose through part of our yard and all the way down the driveway also dripping sewage on our driveway from a shovel as well. We had a customer store a boat with us without pumping out his waste tank first. This sometimes happens though it is rare. Rosano Davis doesn't normally perform this service but they were happy to make the attempt. Devin went above and beyond by looking at the truck fleet at their adapters. He brought one down and my staff were able to make a modification so that it would work on my customer's boat. He then returned after I advised him that we were ready and we successfully emptied the waste tank of the boat in question before the freezing weather hit. My customer and I are grateful for the diligence provided by the staff of Rosano Davis in making this task happen for me instead of simply passing us off to find somebody else because they usually don't perform this service. When three previous septic services were unable to tackle the challenge of clearing five years of baby wipes from our clogged septic tank, we called on Rosano Davis to the rescue. Professional and courteous from the get-go, compared to the others who looked at our tank and swore, talking to themselves that they'd never seen such a problem and refused to deal with it. Today, four men arrived to manually dig out the tank, with one in a Hazmat suit inside the tank, sending up buckets of accumulated baby wipes. 10 contractor bags full, while the others loaded the buckets for disposal. A thorough job, took hours to complete, and was cheerfully done. Not inexpensive, but we've learned our lesson and will now call on them every two years for maintenance. Baby wipes now go in the trash, not down the toilet. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Forget everyone else in the area....these guys are the real deal. read more

I recently had water line leak confirmed by the town and wondered who to get. I thought of Rosano-Davis as I always depended on them for my septic system cleaning. After getting three estimates I decided on Rosano-Davis not only because of the fair estimate, but the education of the main water , the description of what they were going to do and explaining and when they could come at such a very busy time. It is not like having an indoor plumbing problem where you have to have immediate service, but they did give me a time frame and they came as soon as they could which is OK because it was not an emergency. They had to dig much more than the 4 feet , hauled away the mucky soil , completed the repair, filled the hole , topped with loam and grass seed. My bill was as was contracted. Sue in the office was great, the plumber Jim responded, Mr. Davis came and spoke to me at a very busy time, the workers worked very hard and efficiently. Outstanding service in these days where one has to wonder and question all the time. I cannot exclaim enough how Rosano-Davis contractors are worth every penny and time to wait to hire.
