Great food, great staff. Awful booze lol! Delicious house tea! My wedding party had a good time there.

Let me just say, this place blew me away. The cocktails, the view / patio, the food -- all amazing. I had the fish tacos (which, no joke, were among the best fish tacos I've ever had). Boyfriend had the burger, which was equally amazing and one of the best he's had. For cocktails, the pineapple coconut cooler is the way to go. All around this place is great and reasonably priced. It definitely deserves 5 stars. read more

The service was excellent but I have to say that the food was extremely expensive for being average tasting. I wouldn't particularly recommend getting any alcoholic beverages just because they too are pretty pricey and weren't very good. The overall scenery was very pretty though looking out on the water. read more

GRILL CLOSED FOR THIS SEASON. We went to the Cascade Bay Grill for dinner last night on August 6, 2019. The bar was open but the grill was closed for the season. We were told they had issues with the roof, and by the time repairs were made their help had found work elsewhere. Hope they open back up next year because we've really enjoyed it. read more

After a great afternoon whale watching, stopped in for a Summer Salmon Burger. A thick salmon filet, grilled to perfection, with Chipotle mayo on a toasted bun. On the side a spinach salad, topped with warmed cheese rolled in nuts, crispy diced bacon, pepitas and cranberries...need I say more... most delicious. read more

Walking in, our party of 6 was seated and greeted rather quickly. We put in beverage orders which only took a little longer than we would have liked and placed our food order. Up until this moment, we were happy with the charming patio and the view; the service had not disappointed. However, as the dinner rush came to it's pinnacle everything broke down. Our order was incorrect, on glass one wine took 40 minutes to arrive, even though it had been ordered three times, and the bill was also incorrect. The server had to always be called over and we sometimes were shouting requests at him as he walked away from delivering one far delayed item or another. We watched as the staff ran here or there shouting for help as they went. While there seemed to be plenty of people to wait on the 20 or so tables, they did not seem to know what to do or when to do it. By far the most frustrating part of the evening was how difficult it was to get anyone's attention. Our server would walk by singing to himself ignoring eye contact, arms raised and any other form of only slightly rude behavior. We had to shout at him to Receive any form of acknowledgement. When we walked in we were wishing we had stayed at the resort but by the time we left, we promised we'd never be back to anything affiliated with the Rosario. read more

I went to Cascade Grill for dinner with my 14 year old daughter and 11 year old niece on a busy summer weeknight last week. I admit, going in, I was a little concerned about the very avg reviews of this place on yelp. However, our service was friendly and efficient (as others have noted, Rosario resort brings in temp help for the summer high season and these people come from all over the world, let alone the NW & surrounding islands). The food was solid and came in a reasonable amount of time. The girls had fish and chips and I had a blackened salmon salad. The salmon was cooked just right and the salad was very good. The restaurant was packed but I didn't feel like we were neglected at any point and the team of employees seemed to have things orchestrated well. The setting right by the Rosario marina is relaxing and enjoyable as well. If it's a cool day or evening, bring a jacket but they also have space heaters spread around. Anyway, bottom line, I like quality food and quality service and felt we experienced both the night we dined there. read more

We both ordered the steak salad and the portions were way off. Quality and presentation were awful. Would not recommend!

Beautiful location, however the food was incredibly disappointing. My spinach salad was drowning in dressing, the bacon undercooked, and aggressive bees were swarming table. My friend's wedge salad was also disappointing as it was marinated in a heavy mayonnaise dressing. Our chowder was ok but served at a luke-warm temp. After taking about two bites of our lunch we requested our food to go. VERY EXPENSIVE and disappointing. We left hungry. Don't waste your time and $$ read more

Looking for waterfront dining on Orcas? This is your spot - right on the Rosario marina the food is great, portions are a bit small but they make up for it with flavor. The smoked clam chowder is great, fresh clams inside & terrific Cesar salad. My husband had the Philly cheese steak and with canalized onions was terrific. A definite place to return on our next island trip. read more

We arrived in the middle of September only to find out they were closing at the end of that day for the entire season. Kind of surprising considering it was a warm sunny day and there was a full house. Extremely expensive for a bar and grill- we paid 35 bucks for a hot dog, salad and two sodas. That with the added bonus of having a drunk staff member ( he was very vocal about talking about how he was actually working at the time while he was sitting at a table chatting up to customers who didn't want to continue talking to him) so loud that we ended up moving tables so we could hear our own conversation. The waiter was nice enough but the food was nothing special, and we had the added bonus of it being so loud that evening that we could hear the noisy crowd (including aforementioned drunk staff member) from inside of our room, the Roundhouse Suite. The adjacent general store is also closed two days a week, so if you are staying there on a Monday or a Tuesday (two of our five days that we had booked), you have to drive into town to get any basic amenities. The extra special bonus is because it's the end of the season even though the store is still open a few days a week they're only selling clearance items and not keeping their shelves stocked. And don't get me started about how disgusting the adjacent laundry room is- I will cover that separately in my review of the resort. read more
