I was so happy with this cafe! The staff was incredibly nice and the food amazing. I wasn't sure how I would feel with jam on a savory breakfast sandwich (The Olga Rising), but I am a changed woman. It was divine. Everything about the sandwich was fantastic: the biscuit was perfect, the eggs cooked well, and the Jam was just sensational as well, no notes. It was also a huge sandwich. Sadly I didn't get anything from their bakery case, and I have regrets!! It looked superb. read more

THE BEST breakfast biscuit sandwich I have ever had!!! Charming location, though only outdoor seating. You can order on-line, but we ordered at the counter, and our order was ready in less than 5 minutes. They weren't crowded the morning we went. I had The Classic and my wife had The Olga Rising. Both were amazing. My wife actually groaned with pleasure on her first bite! Biscuit is crispy yet fluffy, and holds up to the egg and sausage, plus whatever sauce you opt for. Coffee was very solid. We also ordered a Tuna Sandwich to go, which was also wonderful on our whale watching cruise. Sorry to say, but this place beats the Brown Bear Bakery up, down and sideways, and my only knock is they aren't open except Wednesday - Saturday. Wishing we could grab another sandwich on our way out of town this Sunday, but alas, they are closed. Our loss. read more

Stopped here for coffee. There isn't much open on a Wednesday morning. The service was quick and friendly. There is plenty of seating and the garden is very pleasant. The Island Latte is delicious. The baked goods look amazing, fresh, and there is a good variety. I plan to come back for the honey cake. read more

This place hit the spot! I had the Italian and my partner had the Tuna sandwich. The flavor was good and each sandwich came with a small bag of chips. The bread tasted fresh and it was a large roll! My only wish was that there was more meat in my sandwich. My partner enjoyed her sandwich as well, but wished there was an option to get it toasted. The cashier and sandwich makers were very friendly and our order came out quickly. There is a lot of outdoor options for seating which was perfect for the sunny day we visited Orcas! This was our first stop on Eastsound. It was a great welcome. I got a chai latte (delicious!) and breakfast sandwich. They had a vegetarian sausage patty and it was such a nice touch. I love when places offer that option. They had delicious looking pastries but we didn't get any this round. They have some cute items for sale around the shop (great ideas for gifts). And there is plenty of seating outside in their little courtyard. The food came out quickly and the people working were friendly. read more

Super cute spot in the center of Eastsound! Stopped by because of the line out front and wow did it deserve the popularity!! They were out of the pastry I was most interested in, so I grabbed a lemon scone and I swear it was the best lemon scone I've ever had!! They also allow substitutions in all of their drinks and food options to accommodate different dietary restrictions. I asked for a sandwich to have veggie sausage instead of meat and they accidentally sent it out with meat, but quickly made me a new sandwich when I asked about it. The staff were so friendly in general! Their drink specials are great with a highlight on local flavors (big time recommend the marion berry series). There's a small outdoors seating spot with canopy cover and free water! It's also a great location where you can easily walk to the beach and around the town area. read more

3.5 Service was great at this adorable little sandwich/breakfast/gift shop. Food- Unfortunately, the yummy looking garden frittata sandwich with roasted veggies had recently been combined with ham ....stirred in ahead of time, so they couldn't serve if sans pork. So, I had the turkey sandwich and my husband had the salmon sandwich. The Turkish buns were soft and tasty. Sadly, I didn't like the proportions, with 75% lettuce and just a bit of deli meat and one slice of cheese. The salmon sandwich seemed like canned salmon mixed with a lot of mayo and some dill. Again, the proportions were off and it seemed like mostly bread. The flavors were good, though. The shining star was the Nanaimo bar, which was spot on. The crust was tender with deliciously complex flavors, the cream layer a dream, and the chocolate on top delicious. The piece was expensive ($8) but very large. It was a $50 lunch, which was a lot for sandwiches and one piece of dessert. read more

We visited this place two afternoons in a row after hiking and after lunches, to grab a little extra for the ferry back to Lopez. The coffee drinks were fantastic, and in compostable cups. The two baked goods we tried were among the best we've ever had: an almond cookie with raspberry jam in the middle of it, and a tea cake loaf thing. Neither of those are items I typically would have ordered, but would certainly jump at again given the chance. Really, really delectable. Also, they delivered fine service, music, and no waiting. They only have outdoor seating, so plan on getting it to go. read more

I have only left one other Yelp review in my life but this place was so amazing that I needed to tell everyone! I got the Olga Rising breakfast sandwich. The biscuit was perfect, the cheese was like broiled onto the bottom biscuit so it had wonderful crispy edges, and the jam on it was SUCH a great balance of sweet and savory. This might be the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I also got a cinnamon roll because I have zero self control. At first glance I thought it looked mediocre and probably not enough frosting. But I took it out of its little paper cup and it was like Cinnabon type cinnamon glaze on the bottom! So good! And there was actually more than enough cream cheese frosting. And the frosting was perfect too! Slightly tart and sweet, not super buttery. Also may have been the best cinnamon roll I've ever had! I was just blown away by accidentally having the best breakfast I've had in as long as I can remember. I'm so sad that I leave today and won't be able to eat here again. read more

Excellent service--very friendly. The turkey on the turkey sandwich was not high quality, even for lunch meat. The cheese was okay. The tomato & greens were fresh, as was the bun, which was delicious. The carrot cupcake is almost too beautiful to eat. But we will, despite the heavy frosting. The outdoor seating is lovely with comfy chairs and little tables. There's lots of shade. It is a lovely spot--just wished there was less bread, more & better quality protein in the sandwiches. read more

We were camping in another part of the island and on the second-to-last day I decided to treat my family to Olga's biscuit breakfast sandwiches. Even factoring in we'd been eating pretty raw for a few days, these tasted rich, buttery and amazing. The shop is frequented by locals as well as off-islanders, so it was pretty busy but the ordered was filled in less than ten minutes. I love the decor, which is a throwback to when I was a kid on Orcas: lots of sensible wood, beachy stained glass, without the shabby chiq pretentiousness or rusty junkyard aesthetic of other shops in Eastsound. Theres an outdoor fining area and the help was pleasant and efficient. read more

Was one of the few places open and I wasn't expecting much but was totally surprised at how amazing the sandwiches are!! I got the Italian and the bread was perfectly toasted and they were generous with the amount of meat and veg. I also got a honey cake and it was moist and balanced with notes of orange and pistachio. I would definitely recommend stopping by for a quick lunch. Great prices, service and food. read more

I don't like giving bad reviews, especially in a community like Eastsound/Orcas (which I love) and I felt compelled. Keep in mind it's slim picking for a late lunch after 2pm, which is what my situation was, and I didn't want to go to a pub. I paid $21 for a microwaved egg sandwich and herbal tea. Took a bite. It was so bad that I threw it out and walked down the road for something else. Ended up at the Matador and the end of the road, which is, ironically, a pub. I got a spinach salad with chèvre and candied walnuts along with a salmon fish taco (3 tacos) for $28! It was good. Definitely WAY better than a microwaved egg sandwich for $21. Service was excellent. After that I couldn't not write a review. Total rip-off. They seemed to have some nice baked goods, so this place is probably better for a coffee and pastry if that's your thing. read more

Service was superfast! The turkey on the turkey sandwich was very disappointing, it was the "smoked" cheap lunchmeat variety, not good quality. The bun and the rest of sandwich was good, pulled off the turkey and threw away, definitely not worth the price. read more

Service was very good, with a wonderful waitress that didn't need a note pad to take our order, and was attentive throughout. Asked for the Fried Clam Strips, and she was kind enough to warn that they weren't fresh but frozen. But they were fried, and exactly what I expected them to be. Burgers were quite large and tasty. I couldn't finish the Southwest Burger with bacon, but it was very good, and my wife devoured her Grilled Sourdough Burger. We both thought the Fries were excellent. Great selection of beers on tap. Don't expect much glamor, but you can expect a hearty, solid burger & fries!

Very impressive little store full of tons of stuff! Groceries, pantry staples, a small produce section, some premade deli food and cookies. I was looking for the bakery items. A previous review mentioned delicious homemade pastries. Finally as I choose a cookie and a salad for later I see them. A small pedestal plate with pastries. And on the countertop behind the register tons of croissants! I said, there they are! The two ladies working were not impressed. I asked for the flavors and the lady said, there is a menu right there. Ugh, not fully awake I realized a line had formed behind me. This is the spot to go before getting in a ferry. The sign was not clearly visible and I felt overwhelmed with the decision so I quickly decided on a raspberry almond. This is clearly a place for locals. Everyone knows what they want and where it is. Not super friendly vibes, but oh well. Took photos of my purchases back in my gorgeous villa LOL, watch for my next review. There were at least a dozen food stalls selling anything from home baked bread, cookies, donuts, Mexican food, and Asian. There were stalls selling arts and crafts which are unique to Orca's. We picked up some lunch and enjoyed as the local band sweet music on the stage. A few folks and their kids got off the ground and started dancing. What a scene, as if it's out of a movie scene. That…read moreexcitement was enhanced, even more than I would confess, by the prospects of seeing what the farmers market looks like here. Orcas has a long and rich agricultural history and I've seen plenty of farms and roadside farm stands that stood vacant in Decemeber. I was stoked for summer. Cue COVID.... Well, I'm happy to report that the market was still happening. I'm glad they didn't throw in the towel on it, though from what I'm told it was vastly different this year. Oh, you can imagine that in previous years there wasn't a mandatory handwashing station at the entrance. And I imagine there weren't dots on the ground to indicate where you should wait in order to approach each booth one party at a time. But more importantly, I'm told that the market, even though it's small and mighty in its biggest years, was only very teeny this year. There were probably 7-8 booths there, and that made for a quick visit. Still, we bought some flowers at one booth, and a bar of locally made soap at another, so we did our best to support the vendors who are making an effort despite the restrictions. I have nothing but love for a farmers market, and nothing but admiration for the participants. Though we were only here for a little bit, I'm glad we made it.
