I don't understand why whenever we order a pizza from Rosario's we have to say "please bake the pizza and make it crispy." If we don't, we get this - slopfest. I now have to bake my pizza again. Not really impressed, I asked for extra crispy wings and they came out soggy. The Stromboli is really small for what you're expecting and what you pay. On a positive note, Their pizzas are pretty good, including the grandmas. read more

I went to Rosario's Pizzeria & Ristorante for lunch. I ordered a square pepperoni and sausage pizza. There was a 20 minute wait before pick up. Rosario's pizza crust had good texture. The sauce and cheese was flavorful. They add plenty of toppings. Everything blended well together (tasty). Call ahead if you're in a rush. Service was polite and fast. I ordered the margarita pizza well done. It was far from well done. They forgot the fresh basil which really makes this pizza. I didn't realize any of this until I got home with the pizza. I don't usually do this but I called them and complained. The girl said oh sorry. She never offered to fix the problem by making a new pizza or anything like that. This is some of the best pizza in this area. But lately they have been inconsistent. One of the biggest problems most pizza places have around here is cooking the pizza properly. We were in this town for a kid soccer game up the road.....while there struck up a conversation with the ref of the game.....,said a few parents and kids were going to hit a local pizza place and would love his recommendation. Without hesitation, he recommended Rosario's. He said to make sure I tried the Buffalo Wing slice. Low an behold...a $*(#(*& kicking later (ours) we looked to food for comfort, remembered what the ref said, and put the dismal loss behind us before the long trek back to the Lehigh Valley. We walked in.....they had some slices ready to throw in the oven...including the Buffalo Pizza. Everything was........excellent!!!!!!! Buffalo Chicken loaded with chicken! Also had a slice w/ vodka sauce (Note..this was more of a sicilian crust...TO DIE for...REALLY good...I wanted 4 more slices). Friends and kids had Grandma's, regular plain and white. Everyone loved it. Now we only had pizza....so I guess I can't give it 5 stars.....but based on what we had and the pizza....it's 5 star. I don't know if I'll ever get to Clarks Summit anytime soon...but I'd recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat for some slices. Drinks seemed a bit pricey, but I could live with it. This is my favorite local Italian food and it just got better. Rosario just redid the entire interior and it feels great. Beautiful new floors, ceiling, booths, tables and wall treatments. Even the kitchen is new. But still the same great pasta, soups, salads and pizza. This is one of those places where you can dine in, take out or have delivery. You order at the front counter, next to which is a showcase of pizzas available by the slice, rehearsed quickly and crisply in huge pizza ovens. Used delivery service for the first time today. WoW I was so pleased. Took less time then told which was a great. But when the delivery dude showed up and noticed I was holding my sleeping 6 month old he was very respectful and whispered and waited for me to put her down. There's no way that Rosario's should have a rating of 1 star, because they truley have quality pizza. Always room for a different style of pizza around this area. Rosario's has a unique taste, with a variety of options. Personally, I enjoy the sweet tasting buffalo chicken pizza, which I'm always satisfied with. From the Vodka style to their traditional Sicilian, there's a different tasting pizza for everyone. Expensive, sure.. but the slices are filling and definitely worth it in my opinion. Customer service is quite below par, as you can see by these other reviews. I had a good laugh last night when my brother specifically ordered 3 pieces of Buffalo, 1 Sicilian, and 1 Vodka pizza. We go pick up our order, and she has 3 large trays of Buffalo, Sicilian and Vodka ready. How she came up with that is beyond me. Luckily, we only paid for what we ordered and they ended up giving us all 3 trays. Whether they have too many young unexperienced employees, or just workers who don't care, the service needs to change. I haven't even attempted a delivery order yet, because I don't know what will happen. Only time will tell to see where Rosario's will end up. Impressed! I'd seen this place countless times passing by and never stopped in, until today. My friend wanted a slice of pizza quick before getting back to work ... and it was better than I would imagined. You can tell they make everything fresh and hand made. I grabbed a few different slice of pizza ( they all looked great) and was blow away at how reasonable the price was! And the workers were happy and glad to be of service ( always a good sign of a good business). There slice between two adults and three kids and there's still a half left for tomorrow. i never complain about dining out or ordering in - Tonight really upset me I called in to get a delivery i'm allergic to eggplant and ordered chicken parmigiana with salad and linguini I specifically asked for red clam sauce to be put on separately and not on the pasta Delivery came and the guy left - Opened the box - The box had eggplant in it , linguini with no sauce st all in the entire box or on the pasta salad was ok n correct I called and upset - hadn't eaten all day The order taker who answered the phone was rude and told me that the order was correct I asked for a correction to be resent - needed sauce for the pasta and chicken parmigiana - She hung up I called back - told me if i wanted the change i would have to pay extra and and very nasty - The order was clearly wrong - I'm allergic to eggplant and would never order it Do not eat here. This place is incredible! I'm from Brooklyn, so I can be critical when it regards pizza. This place has NEVER let me down. Their grandma style pizza and their vodka pizza is to die for. I could eat their vodka pizza with grandma style crust everyday and never get tired of it. As for their appetizers, I've only had their wings, garlic knots, and buffalo calamari. The wings are meaty and delicious, I would just recommend adding a bit more sauce. The calamari is insanely delicious. You would think the sauce would make the calamari soggy, but it comes to your table hot and crispy. I would just advise letting it drain a little while longer, sometimes it is super greasy. The garlic knots were the only things I didn't like. They are a bit bready and have barely any flavor. That being said, it does not hurt this restaurant at all. Their Caesar salad is incredible. The lettuce is fresh and the dressing is delicious. I will come back as many times as I can before I move away. Great place with great food! read more

The reason I did not give them a 5 star is because on Friday nights it's too difficult to get thru the phone to order take out.
