Sauce: 9.9/10 Dough/crust: 7.9/10 Overall: 9.1/10 Just had a slice of buffalo chicken pizza from here at the Italian Festival in Scranton. In all of my 32 years, this was literally the best buffalo chicken pizza I've EVER eaten! I actually wiped off some of the sauce to begin, fearing that it would be the stereotypical salty, vinegar-forward buffalo sauce. I regretted my decision: It was an ever-so-pleasant, slightly sweet, based, mild buffalo sauce. The pizza actually has thin slices of breaded chicken as a topping. I've never found a buff chic pizza that had chunks of baked, well-seasoned, thinly-sliced, breaded chicken tenders on top. It reminds me of what you'd find at a place like Ninas on their breaded hot wing hoagie; with a very similar sauce profile. This wouldn't be a true pizza review if I didn't note any critiques. The Dough was definitely homemade but it was slightly under done for my liking *I do understand they were pumping out hundreds to trays during the festival. The only aspect of this keeping it from being a 9.5+ slice was a little char on the undercarriage. A little color mixed with the breaded chicken and phenomenal sauce would take both the pizza's overall rating and its aesthetic/presentation to the next level! Well done Electric City Pizza! My new Pizza Friday "go to". I first had this at the Italian Festival and I really enjoyed it. It is classic NY style pizza. Great tasting crust, sweet tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Whenever I order it is ready in 15 minutes - which beats the 1.5 hour wait for a pizza in the Abingtons on a Friday night. Yes - the location is "unique" (they share a storefront with Subway ) but the quality is incredible. Careful - the online menu is out of date and they no longer offer many of the menu items. But many items are still supported and the handwritten board on the wall is "the menu". I ordered the tomato bacon - which is no longer on the menu - so at first they said they could not make it - but after some conversation they said "we'll make it happen". It was incredible - fresh tomatoes instead of sauce with crispy bacon bits generously tossed on the cheese. One slice will do it - it's thick and chock full of tomato's. $20 for the large - you can't beat that. I always get a parking spot right in front of the Federal building so pickup has yet to be an issue. Step outside your comfort zone and give this establishment a hard look. You won't be disappointed. Odd location because it's inside the back area of a subway hoagie joint but it's one of the best pizza places in Scranton. If I'm not getting basilico's, I'm going here. We even got green pizza on parade day! read more

Electric City Pizza is life changing. You walk in and BAM you're hit with the smell of fresh pizza. Don't worry about a waiting time, I had my slices before I even paid. The pizza was delicious, with the perfect amount of grease. The pepperoni to cheese ratio was also nearly perfect, although more cheese always helps. Highly recommend if you want a quick bite for lunch. read more

Best damn pizza I have ever had, and I'm not saying that lightly. I had to travel to Scranton for business and I literally ate here three days in a row because it was so extremely good. I highly recommend the buffalo chicken. Perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Two gourmet slices and a drink runs about $8 and will fill you up. Also tried the broccoli and chicken bacon ranch, all were extremely delicious. The location is hard to find; it's literally in the back of a Subway restaurant. Damn... These are some good pizzas. I am writing this review in between bites and trying not to get my keyboard to greasy. No seriously, the speciality pizza slices are so good I have to write a review about it now. And on top of all this gluttony, I went yesterday for the first time and really enjoyed my slice of white with onion. Yes, that's two days in a row I walked back over there to grab food. What you may I ask am I currently enjoying as I type? To echo Jake B, I am currently enjoying a slice of the buffalo which is amazing and the chicken, bacon, ranch slice which maybe the best combo ever created for a pizza. Oh man.... if there is one thing I will always remember about Scranton is this pizza place. Keep it up guys. The pies are solid and I will be back for more. read more

This is some really bad pizza... I would never be silly enough to order from here but my co-workers have had it in the office. Of course they got square with AMERICAN cheese. ***Chewy soft bubble gum like crust For some reason the crust under the sauce and cheese was brown like it had been par baked and then topped with sauce and cheese. They use a conveyor oven to make the pizza. So I can't see them being able to get a crispy crust. The bottom crust never has direct contact with the heat (like a pizza oven). They also use Subway products.... I have seen the employees walking over and taking food from the Subway side. read more

This restaurant was very disappointing. I ordered a buffalo calzone. I got bread stuffed with ricotta cheese with a tiny bit of hot sauce. On top of that, I waited close to 45 minutes to get the food. The staff were friendly enough though. read more

Electric City Pizza, located on the square in downtown Scranton, is home to some really great food. Anything on their menu (particularly the pizza, chicken sandwiches, or burgers) would make for a great lunch. During the Lenten season the restaurant serves pagash pizza and it is just about the best thing you can eat in Lackawanna County! Electric City Pizza shares the building with Subway and their designated counter is located further in the back. With two restaurants occupying the same space sometimes it gets a little crowded during lunch hour and there isn't always enough room for everyone to sit. I'm not the biggest fan of Subway, though I do love their chocolate chip cookies - here's hoping that one day Electric City Pizza will be able to move into their own location. read more

Went in for lunch one day. Definitely gets crowded during lunch so don't plan on a table being available, as they share the space with Subway. Speaking of which, the place can be easy to miss as their only sign is kind of small and dwarfed by the Subway sign. They have plenty of options for pizza. I got one buffalo chicken and one chicken, bacon, ranch slice. Took them to go since it was really hot in there and was pretty crowded. Both slices were good. Buffalo wasn't spicy at all and the chicken, bacon, ranch was good. Both could have used some more chicken. I do have to say that the crust of the pizza was good, so I am not sure what other people were displeased about. read more

We have had single slices here from time to time and pizza seemed ok. Our son asked us to get two trays/pies to take home for dinner. We have 4 or so other faves but every so often try something new! We ordered two round, one pepperoni and one plain . Both round/neopolitan style. We got home in less than 10 mins and when I tried to pick of a piece it was soggy. The slice would not even stay remotely straight if you folded it Brooklyn style to eat. Crust was doughy and seemed uncooked but it was actually cooked. Tried to heat up 3 slices and did not help. We threw both trays/pies in the trash and went to a standard pizza place in Scranton. Did I mention it was probably 30% more expensive than other places? Yikes ! Don't do it. read more

Would NEVER recommend for delivery. Myself and my co workers work downtown only a couple blocks from ECP and theres always something messed up with our order to the point of it being absolutely ridiculous. Multiple times they've forgotten one or more things we ordered and still charged for it, and today forgot something and we noticed before the delivery person left and they still charged us for it even though we both saw it clearly wasnt there. Its just pathetic people can be so incompetent and have such terrible customer service. We've tried ordering after months of not hoping maybe it'd be different and still EVERY time they forget something or mess up an order, not to mention delivery always takes at least an hour and we are TWO BLOCKS AWAY!! GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE!!! read more
