What a great find! They have just been open a few weeks but their food and service reflect as if it's been there forever :) Comfy, casual place to enjoy some yummy mex!!! Exceptional service and their friendly staff is very accommodating and welcoming!!! We sat on their back patio which is fido friendly ;) Delicious chips and salsa but their shredded beef is STELLAR! We enjoyed their chicken tortilla soup (tons of chicken breast) and tacos. We will def be back when we return to Big Bear!!! read more

We came here on a Saturday night and it was pretty crowded, so we waited awhile which was expected. Service was phenomenal, staff were all very friendly and helpful. They were very popular for birthdays, there were probably 6 birthday songs sung while we were there! Our only issues were that the food was not super great (compared to other Mexican food we've had before) and it took a long time before they gave my husband his beer so I think they forgot. read more

We were on the hunt for a place that had chips and salsa so we can have some Drinks and kill time before heading to the movie theater a few doors down. We ended up ordering the guacamole and it was the best tasting guac me and my husband have ever tasted ! (We live in LA county and we were very surprised by this).For drinks , my Husband ordered a modelo but I ordered a virgin Watermelon Margarita and it was the best mocktail I've had my entire pregnancy. I made sure to order a second ! We then started looking at their menu and everything sounded amazing so we said we would be back for dinner ! Unfortunately our movie was canceled due to projector issues so we left the village earlier than we planned and didn't end up doing back for dinner but we definitely will be coming back soon ! Stopped by this Mexican spot while up in Big Bear and it did NOT disappoint. After a long day in the mountains, this was exactly what I needed. I ordered a burrito and it was packed with flavor -- perfectly seasoned meat, generous portions, and everything tasted fresh. You can tell they don't cut corners. It was hearty without being greasy, and the tortilla was soft and warm. The spicy margarita was on point too. Great balance of citrus and heat -- not overly sweet, with just the right kick. Definitely one of the better spicy margs I've had. They also brought out complimentary chips and salsa, and the salsa had a legit homemade taste with good spice. Always a great sign when the chips are fresh and the salsa actually has flavor. Service was friendly and fast, and the vibe was relaxed and welcoming -- perfect after being out on the lake or slopes all day. If you're in Big Bear and craving solid Mexican food and a good margarita, this place is worth the stop. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

We ordered the Blanco ceviche, Quesabirrias, Chicken tortilla soup, and a Cadillac margarita. Every single thing was great. The ceviche was fresh and light, the Quesabirrias had that perfect crispy exterior with rich birria flavor, and the chicken tortilla soup was honestly one of the better ones I've had. The Cadillac margarita was strong and well made without being too sweet. The fact that they're this good right out of the gate says a lot. We're already planning to come back next trip up. The complimentary chips were fresh and served with two salsas, the cocktails were well-made, and the service was top-notch - friendly and attentive. We had the quesabirria (ahhhhmazing) and the chicken tortilla soup. Both were delicious and would order again. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. I'm wondering if all the people that wrote great reviews were drunk and didn't taste the food or had no taste buds. I ordered chile rellenos and chicken enchiladas. The rellenos were the worst I can remember having and there was no chicken in the enchiladas. It was a to go order and my last night visiting in Big Bear other wise I'd have taken it back for a refund the next day. The mushy white rice with peas didn't pair well with the food. Not that anything good could have paired well with bad food... the beans weren't bad but there was only a tablespoon of those. I cook Mexican food a lot and it's fantastic and I'm white. My Mexican friends all love it so I know it's good. Sad because I went to this restaurant because of the reviews. The atmosphere and servers were very nice. We decided to eat there. While the restaurant looks well kept the prices are ridiculous. We orderd ceviche. The small plate they call a tower cost $27.00 and to top it off we found a hair on one of the shrimps. They asked us if there was anything else we wanted instead so we orderd another plate. They still charged us for the ceviche although we didn't end up eating it and after they had taken the plate away. Also, we orderd a carne asada plate that was $27.00 as well. When the plate was served it was extremely skimpy. They served not even a 4oz flat steak one scoop of rice one scoop of beans. I'll take Señora Cantina's Restaurant in Big Bear over this place anyday. There not nearly as expensive, the food is Amazing and, they are not greedy with there servings. read more

I came to Rosa's last night with my family and we had the best experience! The service was great and the food was sooo good. We will definitely be coming back. We went last Saturday around 4pm expecting a wait, to our surprise they sat us right away. Chips and salsa came out within a few minutes. I enjoyed the green salsa, it had a nice kick. We had margaritas and the molcajete. Drinks were on point and the food was delicious! Our server (I think her name was Hayimi) came to check on us often and was so nice. Many other people came by to check in on us as well. We paid and didn't want to leave, and the nice large bar caught our eyes. Lucky for us there were 2 seats near the window. At the bar I had a cucumber jalapeño margarita, my husband tried the old fashioned (wish they had a better bourbon selection, but not bad for a Mexican restaurant). Bar staff was friendly and attentive. Overall great service, good drinks and tasty food. Will definitely be coming back and happy to have this new restaurant in the village. read more

Rosa's was honestly one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we sat down, Marie and Rosa went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even started us off with some complimentary items, which was a really nice touch. Marie was super helpful with the menu and gave honest recommendations, which we ended up going with--and I'm glad we did. Everything was amazing. Rosa kept checking in on us throughout the meal with such a great attitude, and genuinely made us feel like family. You can tell she really cares about the experience, not just the food. The service was fast, the vibe was great, and we never felt forgotten or rushed once. And the food... easily a 10/10. You HAVE to try the queso birria and the churros. They even gave us a really warm and generous goodbye, which just topped everything off. I haven't experienced service like this in a long time.
