Went here with family and was disappointed, the rice was like white rice, not Mexican rice, but also flavorless? It was like plain sushi rice on the day I went. Very weird, the rest of the food was ok. The person waiting on our table didn't seem to understand I wanted both cheese and chicken in my enchilada though, which was odd. The burrito was not good because the rice was flavorless and most of the burrito ended up being rice. The person waiting on us also didn't understand twice that I wanted both beans and rice in the burrito which was absolutely weird, like they were going to just make a plain rice one if I didn't specify. WOW! This is truly one of the gems of Big Bear. My husband and I chose to eat here when I was searching for something new we haven't tried while visiting and I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere is beautiful inside they did great with the design. We sat outside because it was beautiful weather and we had the pleasure of some live music which was great! I had the guava margarita and my husband had a classic.. both tasty! We ordered esquites & guacamole off the apps and the chile Colorado for our meal to share which came with rice, beans & tortillas. Everything was so flavorful and totally hit the spot. Not to mention the service was AMAZING (hard to come by in Big Bear) everyone that passed by checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Omg!!! It's such a cute restaurant and good music. The food and service were amazing!!! I am so happy that this little gem of a restaurant has appeared in Big Bear! It's like their version of LA's Casa Vega. The owner is so sweet. She constantly is on the move. Checking on everyone, including her staff. Stopped by Rosa's for a quick drink. I ordered the guava margarita and it did not disappoint!! Perfectly balanced between the guava and tequila flavor! We then saw the menu and caved in for some bites. We ordered the chicharrones 10/10! Their salsa is to die for! We then ordered the shrimp on the grill and the Aguachiles! Everything was absolutely delicious! I ordered a passion fruit margarita and also the pear martini! Absolutely delicious! The bartender was our server and he was ON IT! Food was huge. I just got a regular bean and cheese burrito was able to eat half then and a couple hours later at the cabin at the other half.. Service was wonderful and quick. Everybody had smiles on their faces and welcome to you. We walked in with nine people and we're seated immediately. Got waters right away. Three of us went for dinner Sunday July 5th around 7:00 pm. The restaurant was very busy we were greeted immediately at the front desk and seated at a table in the bar area. Our server Himari was very nice knew the menu very well and helped us select our entree. The manager also came by several times just to ask if we needed anything and how we were doing. The chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. We were frequently asked if we would like more. We never had to ask for refills of anything. Everybody worked very well together the manager even came around more than once the bus boys came around clearing plates toping off our water glasses. Basically we never had to ask for anything. The entire staff worked well together. We shared a combo similar to a fajita with chicken, carne asada, grilled shrimp, cactus, queso and a chorizo salsa dip item with in house made tortillas. Everything was perfect. My spicy jalapeño margarita the entree. Totally enjoyable experience. I plan to return frequently. Himari checked up on us frequently and was just a really nice person. The woman managing that night was on top of the entire room. I worked 40 years in restaurants and I pay attention to the room as a habit and I can say its a really well run restaurant employees all seem to enjoy themselves and work as a team. We heard about this new restaurant and couldn't wait to check it out. I liked the atmosphere with everything being clean and bright and a bit upscale for a Mexican restaurant. The place was extremely busy as it was a holiday weekend and this new restaurant had just opened up about a week ago. We got the margarita tree and it was as fun as you would expect! We enjoyed the complementary chips and salsa, especially since they provide a red and green salsa to dip back-and-forth between, really nice. I enjoyed the flavors of my combo plate with the chicken enchilada and chicken taco being pretty darn tasty, and really enjoyed the rice and beans with the rice being a bit more refined than the usual Spanish rice and the refried beans seemed a bit more creamy than usual, a nice upgrade on both! Well, we definitely enjoyed our visit, but we could tell the restaurant was new as it took three times for them to get our food right. The first time we got beef items instead of chicken, the second time the chicken enchilada only had cheese in it and was missing the chicken. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and helped to correct our food issues immediately. Nice place, and I look forward to coming back soon! read more

Was really excited to try this place especially because of the 5 stars but the food was honestly pretty plain/ bland for the price that it was. It took a long minute for just two wet burritos to get out to us. They sat us outside with the live performance which seemed cool, but it was sooo loud we couldn't even have a conversation. We were on the hunt for a place that had chips and salsa so we can have some Drinks and kill time before heading to the movie theater a few doors down. We ended up ordering the guacamole and it was the best tasting guac me and my husband have ever tasted ! (We live in LA county and we were very surprised by this).For drinks , my Husband ordered a modelo but I ordered a virgin Watermelon Margarita and it was the best mocktail I've had my entire pregnancy. What a great find! They have just been open a few weeks but their food and service reflect as if it's been there forever :) Comfy, casual place to enjoy some yummy mex!!! Exceptional service and their friendly staff is very accommodating and welcoming!!! We sat on their back patio which is fido friendly ;) Delicious chips and salsa but their shredded beef is STELLAR! We enjoyed their chicken tortilla soup (tons of chicken breast) and tacos. We will def be back when we return to Big Bear!!! read more

We came here on a Saturday night and it was pretty crowded, so we waited awhile which was expected. Service was phenomenal, staff were all very friendly and helpful. They were very popular for birthdays, there were probably 6 birthday songs sung while we were there! Our only issues were that the food was not super great (compared to other Mexican food we've had before) and it took a long time before they gave my husband his beer so I think they forgot. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE until management changes! While the food and the rest of the staff were great, the experience was completely soured by the eldest woman managing the floor. She was incredibly bitter, arrogant, condescending, critical, and judgmental, and she treated the staff poorly right in front of us. When my son politely suggested live music--drawing from business experience and what the community needs--she looked at him with utter disdain and ignored him entirely. She looked down on us as a collective, maintaining an air of effortless superiority as if we were beneath her very notice. We do not pay premium prices to be treated with such condescension. There are plenty of other "yummy" spots in Big Bear that actually value their customers. We have homes in Big Bear and are respected, loved members of our large community. We will not be giving good recommendations to locals or visitors. read more
