Came in on the 4th of July to watch the soccer World Cup. It was nice because they didn't try to rush or pressure us to leave. I would skip the carne here and choose the dishes with sauce or fried. Excellent service and food arrived quickly. Will come back again for soccer and dinner.

Flight number two: peach, melon, lime, pomegranate

After trying to go to a Mexican restaurant in the village and finding it closed for renovation, we headed here as a margarita flight was on our mind. It was very peaceful for a Tuesday and we had the whole place to ourselves most of our stay. We sat on the enclosed patio, which kept us nice and warm with heaters and gave us a nice view of the marina. Too bad there's a building right next to the patio or you have a great view of the lake... We enjoyed our chicken enchiladas with rice and beans, fairly standard items, but were very satisfying. Service was very attentive and helpful and they made sure we were taken care of, nice! I thoroughly enjoyed my large beer and some taste tests of the different margaritas. It was really nice to have a variety and that encouraged us to try a second flight, lol! Nice place and would not hesitate to come back.

Found this place near The Village and decided to stop in and get some food! Service was great and inside was clean with lots of tables! Tacos were great! I got a Shredded Beef Taco & a Fish Baja Style Taco and both were very good! My Wife got the 3 Soft Mini Tacos and liked it as well! Nice place to grab a beer and tacos before exploring Big Bear Lake!

What a nice little joint. Really pretty view of the lake and a nice semi covered outdoor beautiful wooden patio with large TV for sports viewing. I started with the margarita flight which had mango, lime, blue and pomegranate, and they were all delicious. The mango had a nice spicy rim on it and tasted just like mango. The pomegranate tasted just like pomegranate and had a nice spicy rim as well. The lime tasted just like your Ordinary margarita but still good. The blue had to be my favorite because of the decadent rock, blue sugar rim on it. And it's so pretty to look at. Looks like the Caribbean ocean. My waitress brought me out some warm chips that were sturdy and tasty with some nice medium heat salsa. Then I ordered the taco salad which had a beautiful flaky shell that was almost like a Napoleon dessert without the sweets. Inside was some lovely seasoned shredded chicken a bottom layer of refried beans, two large dollops each of sour cream and guacamole and all the other accoutrements that go in a taco salad. Just a lovely visit. My server was very attentive and accommodating.

Walked in on New Year's Eve, no wait. Great customer service and the food was delicious! We got a molcajete to share forgot the before picture! Family friendly!

I have to say, they have the best Nachos I've ever had. Sooo sooo delicious. I would've come back just for the nachos. The bread is also good But I also have to say -- the menudo, one of my favorite Mexican dishes, is really bad here.the meat smells too bad, so my friend couldn't even drink the soup. The service was very nice too.

Carne Asada Taco, Pastor Taco, Fish (Mahi-Mahi) Taco, and Fish Baja Style Taco

Decided to give this place a try on my most recent visit to Big Bear and wasn't necessarily impressed nor disappointed. The ambiance is great and the service was fantastic but the tacos were just okay. I opted for a few different tacos to try out and my favorite was the Fish (mahi-mahi). Very flavorful and fresh. The carne asada, pastor, and fish Baja style taco fell short compared to the Mahi-Mahi. Overall, this is a decent spot for some Mexican food in the Big Bear vicinity.

All the staff was very nice and helpful. You get free chips and salsa and they are so good and fresh! We came here for breakfast and the food is pretty good. The pancakes are massive and they are a bit bland but still good! The sausage was very good, and the eggs were decent. The area is cute, we sat outside with our dog and had a nice view of the lake.

Crazy fees & not even told

Here's your revised Yelp review: Terrible Service and Hidden Fees--Never Returning I recently visited Laguna Grill, and while the girl at the front desk was incredibly nice and welcoming, the rest of my experience was a complete disappointment. As usual, they served chips and salsa, but the salsa was too spicy for me. I asked for pico de gallo, and while the waitress brought some, it was mostly onion and cilantro with barely any tomatoes, making it just as spicy and inedible. She never mentioned there would be an extra fee for the pico de gallo. For my meal, I ordered a chile relleno with a taco, specifically requesting light oil since the chips were so greasy that you could taste the oil on your lips. The chile relleno came in a red sauce that was very spicy, and the taco was plain and flavorless--just cheese and lettuce. When the friendly front desk girl asked if we needed anything, I asked for a small amount of sour cream and guacamole. Again, no one told me there would be an extra fee. Later, when the waitress returned, I asked her directly if there was a fee, and she hesitated before admitting there was. By then, the other girl had already brought it to me, so I just let it go. Things escalated when we got the bill. The charges for such small portions of sour cream and guacamole were outrageous. I decided to speak with the waitress about it, and the young front desk girl and another gentleman were present. When I confronted the waitress, she rudely said, "Nothing is free in this world, ma'am." I explained that no one had told me there would be fees for either the sour cream or the pico de gallo. She gave the front desk girl a rude look, and I immediately called her out, saying, "Don't look at her that way. You didn't even tell me there was a fee for the pico de gallo." I told her I wasn't going to pay for these ridiculous charges, but my husband and I ultimately just paid it to avoid further conflict. I also asked to speak to a manager, but the waitress shrugged and said they weren't there. I told her I would be leaving a review about this experience, and here it is. It's really sad how this situation played out, and I hope others take note. Between the poor service, hidden fees, and lackluster food, we will not be coming back.

Nice view of the lake on the covered patio, I got the CHILAQUILES with carne asada, it was very good and the service was good too!

We took advantage of happy hour and ordered the margaritas, which were delicious and a great value. We also happened to visit on Quesabirria Wednesday, and the birria was excellent. My only complaint is the regular drink pricing once happy hour ends. While I understand they're located in the Village and prices tend to be higher in that area, $19 for a margarita felt a bit steep. Because of that, we ended up leaving when happy hour ended. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the service, food, happy hour specials, and game-day atmosphere--just be prepared for higher drink prices outside of happy hour.

The margaritas were good and the atmosphere was relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place.

Patty greeted us when we came in the door and said we could sit wherever we wanted. She was lovely, very attentive and helpful. Her sister owns the place. She even gave us scads of recommendations for other local places to try and things to do. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan with a side house salad while I got the scallop fettuccine dish and splurged the $3 extra to get their Caesar salad (totally worth it, made in house). Everything is made to order and each dinner came with a board of homemade bread and house made butter for the table. Folks. That bread. Was So Good. Soft and tasty and the parmesan, garlic, parsley butter melted right on it. There was something that didn't hit my palate right on my dish, so Patty offered to get me something else. I decided against that (because the scallops themselves were stellar) but I agreed to some extra Alfredo sauce to mellow out the flavors in the pasta, which worked great! When she learned it was our anniversary, Patty gave us a slice of cheesecake on the house the likes of which I have never tasted before. I don't order cheesecake often, but this was beautifully creamy and sweet. If you want to support local businesses, I highly recommend Jakobe's.
