    Meat lasagna
    Ally R.

Not what I remember! Used to be a good place. The bread ball was raw and doughy like it was rushed to bake. They offered us clam chowder and then came back and said their manager lied to them and they were actually out. Minestrone has canned taste. Ordered seafood fettuccini, they came back and said they're out of crab so they added chicken which was good but kind of weird. Meat lasagna didn't taste what it used to-- very porky flavor and watery. It used to have peppers and olives and flavors. This place was great when in Tulare. Also loved Visalia over the years. Sadly the love and authenticity seem gone. Also, the front waitstaff and hostess seem too into their own world to even greet you or seat you until they are good and ready. I miss seeing the owner actually being around and checking on business. Skip this and go to La Piazza. They'll soon be in downtown Visalia 2026.

Good service, large portions, tasty meal! The fettuccine Alfredo was a bit lacking but I am overall pleased.

I absolutely love that my office is near this restaurant. The food is delicious and the staff is so friendly. They have great to go options at all price points at a great value. My kiddos love the gelato too.

An adorable hole in the wall. The Food was absolutely delicious. The ambience is very cute and makes you feel like you are in Italy. The service was a great experience and our waiter was absolutely amazing and attentive. I would definitely go back if I am in town again.

Rosa's has been my dinner spot in Visalia the past couple of trips there. I've never eaten there as all my visits have been takeout. Ordering is easy. You either call them or you use their Toasttab website. Service has been good every time I showed up. I normally show up earlier than their quoted time, and the food is normally ready early. My wife likes their spaghetti clams in a white sauce. I'm always ordering their spaghetti with a meat sauce. Their sauce is on the acidic side. I will have to try a different sauce on my next visit. Their portions are generously large. Along with the meal comes bread and butter. Rosa's is a good place for generous portions of pasta.

Nice servers. Can't say much for the food - except I really enjoyed the clam chowder. The "cup" of chowder will easily feed 2 people. I enjoyed the Silver Gate Cab after returning the Bella....Chianti. It was awful. My husband asked for 2 other types and they were out of them. I tried the Loui's Trio...nothing was worth returning for. Chicken fettuccine didn't have even a half of a breast plus the sauce was bland. So, we were sad it didn't work out for our taste buds. Ambiance is nice.

What can I say. The food presented well when it came to the table. It was a good wait (20min) but probably cause we came early and I decided to order the Trio. Fettucini probably was the most bland tasting I have ever had at any Italian restaurant and probably cause I usually make this myself. So let's take a moment and talk about the staff, the male waiter who served us was good, checked up frequently and filled my iced tea twice. However the blonde server was total polar opposite was not welcoming asked how many items were we taking home, asked for three al to go our pizza lasagna and garlic bread. She came back put it on the table and walked away no her you go, just dump and run as if we had the plague. Our male server came by to drop off our receipt where I placed my card. About 10min goes by and Ms Personality says "are you done" I just replied yes. At this point being from the industry we usually start our tip practice at 30% however 12% is what they got from us during our visit, yeah it maybe generous but when you manage restaurants you wonder why she is employed and it's usually isolated to that one individual and not reflective of the rest of the team. For this we will not come back or cater from them ever. Hopefully someone in management will identify and provide some feedback as one person can affect the entire team. On a side note the pizza in the box is the Togo pizza box she gave us after I said I don't think it will fit, she said it's not a large. Bad service we fold the edges to make it fit in the box to take home. To the young blonde server I hope this message gets through to you as I'm thinking you're just having a bad day today!

This place was amazing. For a semi-busy Tuesday night. I didn't reserve a table, but able to get a table for three in under 15 minutes. The place was a bit small, but I like the ambiance to it. If you have enough time to dine, I recommend to dine instead. Our server, Luigi, is phenomenal and paid great attention to our table. The food is great for Visalia. Honestly, big portions, but more to share and take home :D The bread they start off with in the beginning, incredible (I heard they make it fresh each day). I notice they do not include the bread when you take out, so even a more reason to dine in person. Lastly, I got the seafood fettuccine, but I thought the shrimp were going to be the regular sized shrimp and not the itty bitty ones.

This restaurant has a small parking lot but ample parking on the street. If you're into ambiance, this restaurant will disappoint. There's bars on the windows and looks like an abandoned building. The menu had soup, salads, pasta, pizza and typical Italian dishes. The wine selection is limited so you may want to bring your own bottle. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana with veggies. The vegetables were properly cooked but lacked flavor. The eggplant parmigiana was cooked properly but wasn't anything to get excited over. Service was pleasant enough but probably won't return

Came by here with a friend a few weeks back and enjoyed a marvelous dinner! I had the veal Marsala and it was fabulous!!! This is a very cute and quaint place that is very comfy and makes you feel like you're eating at home. Someone told me they are somehow connected with Rosa's in Pismo which is one of my most favorite restaurants. Wish they had osso buco on the menu, maybe next time?

What in the world do they spice the putranesca with? Whatever it is I do NOT have a tolerance built up for it... It's killer!!

What worked: -- servers and staff were all very kind -- there's decent menu variety and something for everyone to enjoy -- the music and vibe inside was a nice mix of busy yet intimate, it's a great place for a date or fancy night out What didn't work: -- I think this is likely due to it being Valentines Day, but the service was pretty spotty. Servers almost gave us someone else's food twice and it took a while for our food to get to our table. -- my dish (shrimp primavera) could have had a little more going for it! The pasta and veggies could have been a little more seasoned (and I would have loved more veggies), and the shrimp was waaaaay too salty, it was difficult to eat it all. It definitely wasn't a bad dish but a few small tweaks could have made it really wonderful Overall, I'd come here again! I think this might have just been an off night and I'd love to return to try some of their other dishes. The environment was a pleasant one to be in and I enjoyed the meal (and, of course, the company).

Unfortunately their specialty cocktails weren't included but they were reasonably priced regardless. *Artichoke, Spinach, and Cheese Dip: had a grainy, chunky texture made predominantly from the artichoke. There needed a better mixer and creamy element. The flavors resembled a thick pesto. The toasted bread was the best part. *Spicy Calamari: nicely fried but a tad too salty. Would have appreciated a lemony component to cut through the grease. *Garlic Fries: thicker cut with slight crisp. They were garlicky but the Parmesan left a strange aftertaste. *Green Tea Shot: pleasantly fruity and the pour was generous. The service was friendly and we look forward to when they'll hold music nights again. Ultimately the drinks tasted better than the food. Although not perfect, the pricing makes Sebby's the ideal post work spot. I hope Sebby's hones in their flavors and textures they're aiming for so then people can come for the food too.

A Local Gem for Pizza Lovers…read more If you are looking for great pizza locally, The Planing Mill is absolutely it. From the moment you walk in, you can tell they take their craft seriously. Between the freshly made dough and the perfect char from the wood-fired grill, the taste is consistently top-tier. I am particularly picky about texture; I love my pies to be flavorful but with enough substance that they don't crumble or flop over. There's nothing worse than a pizza that is too wet or undercooked, but The Mill nails the bake every time. The Highlights: * The Food: We went for The Kitchen Sink for our date night pie, and as always, it didn't disappoint. It's loaded with toppings but maintains that perfect structural integrity. * The Drinks: They have a solid tap list to complement the meal. I washed my slices down with a crisp sour, while my wife opted for a cider. * The Vibe: It's the perfect spot for a casual yet high-quality meal. The night started and ended perfectly. It is always a pleasure to visit a place that stays so consistent with its quality. Whether it's a date night or just a craving for a real wood-fired crust, this is the spot!

When we walked in I smiled at the hostess and was greeted with RBF lol not really a big deal, I understand not everyone is friendly. We were quickly seated with menus. Our server came over to take our drink and food order. We were able to do a half and half pizza which I appreciated. Our food arrived in a timely manner and everything, down to the marinara sauce was delicious. While we watched other customers be given drink refills, even though the soda machine is out where the tables are, so we were confused on if we were to get our own refills or our server would do that for us. I could have asked what the protocol was but felt really stupid doing so when our server was the only one not getting drink refills for her tables. Our server may not have refilled our soda but we watched her refill her soda from the machine and head to the back haha When we were ready to leave we were again very confused on what the protocol was because it took a very long time for our server to come to our table with our bill, I wasn't sure if I needed to go to the register was and pay there or if our server would bring the POS to our table like other servers were doing to their tables. We were unsure if we needed to get our own box or if our waitress would bring what we needed. We also didn't see to-go containers for our leftover salad, so I asked the waitress for a container for that and asked if we just grab a pizza box or if she gets it for us. She said she could get it for us and seemed fine to do so, but again I felt dumb because I watched her walk over and grab the pizza box and a to-go container for the salad that was right next to it. I feel like there should maybe be more communication like "go ahead and help yourself to soda or I'd be happy to refill your drinks for you" and "I can get you a to-go box if any are needed", you know something along those lines. Even a sign above the soda machine and to-go containers would work so staff doesn't have to tell each customer. We were kindly acknowledged by one of the other servers as we were walking out which was nice. The restaurant is comfortable with large tables with a bar that is in the corner so you don't have to listen to loud drunk people.

Yes they're at the food court in the mall, so the ambiance can be loud and filled with mall goers. But don't let any of that stop you from enjoying some of the best pizza, pasta and meatballs in the valley! Pro Tip: go for the Stromboli. Doesn't matter which one, they're all fantastic! My favorite though is the pepperoni and jalapeño! If you haven't had a Stromboli it's in the family of a calzone, except this is a rectangle of pizza dough that's stuffed and folded lengthwise over the filling into a cylinder. It has a nice crispy outside with a soft gooey inside filled with mozz and toppings! Out of all the slices I would choose from, I personally like the original pepperoni. Thin crust, super huge slice! You can get a slice and a drink for a decent price! They even have a thick crust version of their pizzas which are so good! The meatballs and the baked ziti are by far the best you'll find in town! These other italian restaurants charging almost 15/20 dollars for poor quality! You can get 3 meatballs here for cheap and you get a garlic knot with your baked ziti! If a restaurant is going to add that kind of charge, it should be clearly disclosed upfront before customers order or make reservations. Well, the ad blitz on TV regarding Calabrian summer enticed me back. I'm glad I went. The Calabrian dishes, all looked good, and I and a friend settled for the rigatoni with sausage. We ordered the appetizer Lasagna Frittata, and although it came between the soups and the entrée, it served as a good side. It was absolutely delicious. One side was Italian meat saucy - the other creamy and cheesy. It could have made an entrée by itself. Our soups were good, the breadsticks were just as good as ever - fresh and warm, and the handful of chocolate mince that Alec brought over as we finished made a nice after dinner minty moment.
