    Fat boy burrito
    Yessi C.

Came in today for some breakfast burritos and we tried the fat boy burrito! It was delicious and the salsa bar they had served multiple different flavors which all were amazing! The staff was super friendly and the service was fast. The location is small with limited seating but worth the price and time.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I received great customer service at walk up counter. The male employee was very freindly. Food was hot, served quickly and was good tastings. Good value.

Another excellent spot! The atmosphere is so relaxed and family friendly. You walk in and they are so welcoming and full of energy. 5 Star: The pastor had amazing flavor and wasn't goopy. There were some charred pieces as well which gave more depths of flavor. This was mine and my wife's favorite. This may be the best restaurant rice I have had. Wonderful flavor. Simplistic and delicious. 4 Star: The asada was actually seasoned and it was very good. I would have liked some more char on the asada but still great. The pollo (not pictured) was a pleasant surprise. I usually stay away because they are bland. Not here! Very well seasoned! The quesabirria had great flavor. I would have liked a crispy shell which would have made it 5 stars for sure. The kids really enjoyed the chicken strips and fries as well! 3 Star: The carnitas was probably my least favorite. Still really good and nice flavor not bad at all! The chips and salsa bar are fantastic. The extra spicy salsa was my favorite. It does have a good kick but it has wonderful flavor. Everything was good! We went two days in a row and everything was still delicious. Fantastic taco combo meal too! 3 tacos, rice and beans and a drink for $10. Great prices and better yet, fantastic food. 3*** = Good but no separation from similar restaurants 4**** = Set themselves a part with quality food and I want to go back. 5*****= You have to go out of your way and make a special trip to try the deliciousness that is there!

First off, the place is quite difficult to find--it's not clearly marked, and we had to double-check we were even in the right spot. Once inside, we waited for a few minutes before an employee approached us. In a muffled voice, they seemed to ask if we were there for boba, to which we responded yes. They mentioned something unclear and said "moment," so we assumed they were going to come to prepare our order. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the employee returned and, rather bluntly, asked if we needed something. When we reiterated that we were there for boba, they curtly informed us that it was closed. While we understand things happen, clearer communication and better signage would have saved us time and frustration. We were excited to try the boba, but the lack of professionalism and overall experience left a sour impression. That said, the axe throwing setup looked interesting, so perhaps that's worth exploring in the future.

We walked in to the bakery with the intention of ordering more treats, in addition to what was in the too good to go surprise. When we walked in, it was 10:05, and they closed at 10:30. They had already put away half of their gelato and baked goods in the cabinet. I understand closing time is at 10:30, but if you still have almost half an hour left, I'm sure there are customers that are gonna come in and buy things. There were three parties of people that walked in while we were in there and then sitting out on the really nice patio. There is a little bit of seating inside, but the patio was very nice and there was plenty of seating out there too. The vibe is super cute, and I love the decor. Hopefully next time we go back, we can actually try things because they won't be put away!

You got to pick your shell and filling for the cannoli. My MIL said their gelato tastes like it did when she traveled to Italy. All of the desserts looked AMAZING. We went there with my MIL for Christmas Eve dinner. My dish for dinner was ok but I should have got the lasagna as it was a smaller portion than what everyone else got.

We ordered an eggplant Parmesan sandwich and a chicken Parmesan sandwich. The bread was good. For dessert, I tried a chocolate cannoli, which unfortunately wasn't to my taste, and a wedding cookie, which was light and fluffy but just okay. I also bought several other cookies, but most of them had a flavor that reminded me of the glass display case they were stored in. the cookies just didn't taste very good to me. I also ordered an iced latte, and the total for everything came to about $30, which I thought was a good value considering we had two sandwiches, desserts, and a drink.

A West Valley Gem Packed with Flavor, Charm, and Plenty to Discover…read more If you've ever driven past that bright pink building on the corner of 101st and Grand Avenue in Sun City and wondered, "What's in there?" let me save you the suspense: it's the New York West Bakery, and it's absolutely worth pulling over for. In fact, I've made the hour-plus drive each way more than a dozen times just to visit. Whenever I find myself anywhere in the West Valley, this place is a mandatory stop. I've taken countless photos of my visits because there is always something new to see, taste, or admire. Under its new ownership, New York West Bakery has evolved into a wonderfully unique fusion-style café. The menu is delightfully unexpected, featuring everything from traditional breakfast favorites and homemade tamales to incredible Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches. If I can dig up some of my photos, I'll add them because these sandwiches deserve their own spotlight. The transformation isn't limited to the menu. The Interior: Spotlessly clean. During one recent visit, I watched an energetic staff member carefully mopping the floors and making sure everything looked perfect. It's obvious they take pride in the place. The Exterior: They've added a charming outdoor patio complete with colorful umbrellas, comfortable seating, and newly planted trees that will provide even more shade as they grow. It's a fantastic addition and makes for a relaxing place to enjoy a pastry and coffee. The Food: Where This Place Really Shines When New York West Bakery gets it right, they absolutely knock it out of the park. Their fruit tarts are hands-down some of the best I've had in years. They're fresh, beautiful, bursting with flavor, and surprisingly affordable for the quality you're getting. Best of all, everything is made from scratch, which shows in every bite. The newer savory menu items are also a huge win. Their Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches deliver serious value. They're enormous. Honestly, one sandwich is big enough to share and still leave you feeling satisfied... or at least leave just enough room for dessert. And speaking of dessert, I have to mention those fruit tarts one more time. They're that good. My wife Lucy absolutely loves them. In fact, "love" might be an understatement. If fruit tarts had a fan club, she'd probably be the president. New York West Bakery continues to grow and evolve, and it's exciting to watch. Between the friendly atmosphere, expanding menu, beautiful patio, and from scratch-made baked goods, it's become one of my favorite hidden gems in the Valley.
