I love going to this street vendor because the food is always cooked fresh and prompt with plenty of food and quality is extremely high

Shrimp, shrimp, shrimps! This is a standalone food truck in a huge parking lot. Nothing fancy and doesn't look like much. But their shrimp tacos are yummy! I got 2 special shrimp tacos. The shrimp is a tad more done than my preference but it was amazing. My husband and son tried one of each on the menu. And their favorite, special shrimp tacos! Even though it is in a parking lot. They do provide clean bathroom that is located inside a big empty building. We were there after sunset so It was a long walk in the dark before I reach the bathroom. While their tacos are great and tasty, it is wild to charge for salsa. I ordered 6 tacos and I was given 4 small containers with salsa. I asked for 1 yes one more and dude says to me it is extra. How many do you want? I walked away. Their logic doesn't make sense. If I were to sit down to eat the tacos there i can squeeze as much salsa as I please BUT if I ask for them to go I only get small tiny salsa containers? I'm definitely NOT coming back. I'm not giving a business my hard earned money if they want to charge me for salsa. UPDATE REPLYING TO OWNER: Are you monitoring customers that eat in your establishment? Do you let them know to only squeeze once to add salsa to their tacos? Every single table has a bottle of green salsa and red salsa. Out and about on a taco prowl and decided to stop and check out Baja Tacos. It was raining pretty good when we went and I was impressed they were still out working hard. The parking lot they're in is quite large so no worry about parking. There are tables under a canopy if you'd like to sit and grab some food instead of taking it home or eating in your car. We were greeted right away. It smelled so wonderful and I was excited and so hungry. We decided on three asada taco, shrimp taco (one of my favorites) and queso Birria with of course consommé. We also picked up a Coke to drink. We took a seat and waited. I was shocked at how fast everything was ready. It was pretty cold out so we opted to sit in our vehicle. Everything was delicious! The consommé full of flavor and meat tender. The asada just as great and both the green and red salsa were hot and tasty. By far my favorite was the shrimp taco. I liked the way they did their tortillas . Topping were fresh and plenty of shrimp. Prices were fair and I can't wait to come back and order twice and much ha ha ha. read more

Been to Baja Tacos many times and it just doesn't disappoint. The birria was full of flavor and a good crunch on the taco. The pollo, asada, and shrimp were all seasoned wonderfully. The pastor was sweet with a little heat. The green and red salsas were both excellent with the red being spicier and the green a little more sweet. Very friendly staff and plenty of seating. They speak Spanish and English! It is crowded. One person was on break. Be patient with your order. The tables are wrapped in red vinyl. So easy to clean! It was my first time trying these tacos. I was pretty disappointed when I saw the menu and it was ONLY tacos. No rice, no beans, none of that. Just tacos, burritos or quesadillas. I ordered 4 pastor tacos. They were reasonably priced. Came out to $10.95. They told me they would bring it to my car. It took about 25 minutes to receive 4 tacos.. I was really hoping it was worth the wait. The presentation was nice. They looked very delicious. When I grabbed a taco, the shell felt hard. You have to rip the taco with your teeth from your hand because they're so hard. The meat was not tender at all. There wasn't much flavor, even with guacamole and salsa. They need to step up their seasonings and their menu. I won't be returning but I wish them the best of luck. read more

Pulled up on Tuesday for some tacos. I took a look at the menu and got 4 tacos and a burrito. Came out to just under $30 after 10% off. Guy flips the screen around asking for a tip and I declined since I wasn't staying to eat. I hear the group talk shit about me while I'm waiting. And when I left, one woman asked if I received good service as a nice way of being passive aggressive. Sorry for not giving you $6 for taking my order. Food itself was fine. Tacos were pretty good. Asada and pastor were both good but nothing that would have them stand out over pretty much any other place nearby. Price was high for what I got. I wanted to give these guys a shot but damn, have some class and don't talk shit about your customers... especially when they're still there. Go somewhere else or enjoy your $$$ mid tacos. read more

You pull up to this outside food truck and table setting that you've probably driven by a thousand times and you're like "okay, it's going down"! Outside seating area that's cute, nothing fancy, clean, and gets the job done if you're eating here. Or, you can sit in your car and get your grub on like we did tonight! Our burritos were SMACK lol! So delicious. Juicy, cheesy and the bomb! This is my third visit and the third time I've eaten this deliciousness!! I'm craving this burrito ok! Really good tacos and hand made tortillas. Their big seller are the shrimp tacos but I was not impressed by them. Since it's called Baja Tacos I would have expected to see fish tacos. The salsa is good and they have cold drinks. Plus they do military discount of 15%. I will be back and would recommend. Word of caution, although this area is on an uplift, it is still a bad neighborhood. Some ppl call this part of El Mirage "little Mexico" and not the good Mexico. Personally I think the area has gotten more dangerous as new ppl have moved in. It really used to be like a small quiet Mexican town. As it's grown and crime moves into the area it has changed. But again it's on an uplift with new business moving in and that usually means more police presence. read more

Best shrimp tacos in all of Arizona!! Definitely worth the drive to El Mirage. The shrimp is seasoned to perfection, tortillas are fried and crunchy. They def are generous with the shrimp as well! They also have asada and Al pastor to choose from. The tacos are garnished just right and the salsas are the best in town as well! The Baja sauce definitely gives the shrimp tacos a boost of flavor and the salsa roja brings all the heat you need. No Pos WOW!! This place is delicious! So we stopped by this food truck that is posted up in the parking lot off of Thunderbird and El Mirage. It definitely is like finding a mirage or oasis in the middle of the desert! I tried one of each of their tacos and was blown away by their shrimp taco in particular. The grilled shrimp were cooked just right and had a good kick to them. I think my favorite part of the shrimp tacos is how they make the tortillas slightly crispy (fried) and it comes in a good size with pico de Gallo as well as shredded cabbage. Their salsas are delicious too and they have this creamy salsa that goes perfect with this shrimp taco. I also tried Al Pastor tacos and they did not disappoint at all as the pork was tender and marinated nice with not too much overpowering flavor. Paired it with the green salsa and traditional toppings of onions and cilantro with a dab of guac The price is decent and fair considering the taste and variety they have. They also serve mulas and burritos and have a few tables with covered awning to enjoy them there. It is recommended to call ahead and order as they can get backed up. Just so we're clear... I returned 10 months later today. The owner left a message saying that I was wrong for letting one bad experience ruin all of the other times i previously visited... welp... I ordered 8 steak tacos with cilantro 2 onion and 4 pastor tacos with cilantro and onion. The order of 8 tacos had no cilantro and onions. The cook made everyone's order before mine. Again, I get it... mistakes happen... and people are allowed to be offended, but why respond back if your company isn't sincere. Baja is a long way, out of my way, to visit... You should've just responded that you don't want my business. All good... and definitely no need to respond... this is Arizona and there are countless places to grab tacos.
