    Thick crust supreme pizza!!!
    Kindra J.

I have to say the deep dish pizza here was super delicious! This is not the best crust I've ever had but the pizza itself was amazing. It really hit the spot. They generously gave you a coupon for free garlic knots which were delicious. My family prefers thin crust pizza and it is good as well, but if you're a thick crust hound like I am, you'll really enjoy this. The sauce is nice and not sweet at all. I like a good zesty sauce and this place has it. the pasta looks sensational and the salads are good. Check it out!

Slice of pizza on a 6 inch paper plate

Overall, the food was pretty good. Tons of ingredients in fact, in my opinion just a little bit too much ingredients if that's possible. The antipasto salad was loaded with all of the toppings with very very little lettuce. I was disappointed that the Rosita's house dressing Was actually in a 3 ounce plastic sealed cup. The pizza crust was flavorful, but I think our pizza was slightly undercooked as many of the vegetables were close to raw. I think there should've been a little more sauce given the complexity and thickness of the crust. Our server was nice as soon as we sat down she wanted us to order appetizers. We had never been there and we're looking at the menu. She checked back with us about every 2 1/2 minutes to see if we were ready to order. It felt like we were being rushed from the very beginning. I ordered an Italian beef sandwich to go and it went out to the wrong table so I did not get that. The place is brand new and has been open since December 26. There are always wrinkles to iron out in a new store opening. It is my opinion that the training was very very weak. There was no visible management on the floor. Two of the managers were behind the bar and one was in the kitchen . There was a couple that had waited for 30 minutes and yet there were several tables available. It appeared that the floor was being managed by teenage girls at the hostess desk. We were told that they were out of ice tea, mushrooms, ranch dressing, root beer, banana, peppers, and several other things. I would say it's a rough opening for them, and I hope that they're able to recover and not lose too much market share. Not a big fan of paying $50 for a 14 inch pizza and a salad and then have to eat it off of a 6 inch paper plate. I will try it again at another time

    Tavern and Deep Dish

Great pizza. We did deep dish and tavern style. Both were very good, we preferred the tavern style.

    Salad

Salads are amazing. Wings are really good too. Can't wait to try the pizza and pastas.

Pizza is simply not good and the place is very poorly run. It's a disservice to the brand. And pizza really.

Even though I am thrilled to have one on the IL side of the river, it's a half hour drive to enjoy. The other day I was running errands and shopping in Edwardsville. I made it a point to do it around the lunch hour, so I could enjoy an calzone. I ordered at the counter as you do and lucky for me, the cashier was patient with me. As I ordered, I kept reading the menu and changed my mind two times and finally stayed with my third choice. Having a love of jalapeños, Pancho Villa was my final choice. Pancho Villa not only gave my fresh jalapeños, it was also filled with red peppers, smoked cheddar, Mozzarella and the meat was Chorizo prepared in Smoked Chili Oil. Yum-Yum and no heartburn. For dipping or spreading on top, I was given a cup of Queso. One nice thing about SOTS, is they offer adult beverages. They have an excellent selection of local craft beers and wines to pair with your calzone. I paired mine with, Pale Ale from Schlafly. The dining room is clean and crisp. It's done in an industrial style. They have regular tables and a few hightop tables, so you can choose which one is best for you. On the tables you'll find linen napkins with reusable flatware. If you can eat an entire calzone, I am impressed. For those of us who cannot, next to the soda machine is a stack of eco-friendly to-go boxes to put your leftovers in, to take home.

Then garlic cheesy bread to toasted ravioli. Then a shrimp in sauce. Followed by bone in wings. The wings I believe were buffalo style. The garlic Cheese bread was amazing. But I had to behave. lol more food was coming. We had their house side salad which was nice and refreshing. Then the main food was set up more cater style. You had the options of moscaholi, tortellini, chicken Parmesan, and a beef bruschetta? All were good and fulfilling. Then they ended it with cheese cake. Huge slices we had food left over they allowed us to box up the rest to take home. To drink I had a Bellini which was nice and refreshing. Some of my coworkers had the chocolate martini they loved a lot!! I'd love to go back on my own time to eat here. I've heard great things about their egg plant... Parking is street or there's a lot in the back area. I love their Tiffany lamps in the main dinning area. We sat in the back room that's used for events. If your company has a party here. Being from the Bay Area in California, I had never heard of toasted ravioli so I added it to my itinerary. I found this place on Yelp and saw that Guy Fieri (another Bay Area native) had featured it on his show so I settled on Anthonino's. I walked over from the Botanical Garden on a Friday afternoon around 12pm so that I could get a better feel of the streets, locals, surrounding shops, and the Hill neighborhood. The area was very calm, clean, safe and had a sense of pride. I enjoyed the sights and sounds throughout the streets and by the time I arrived at the front door, I was super excited to eat. I was seated quickly at the bar and given a menu and water. The bar staff were friendly and pleasant to talk to and also took my order within a few minutes. The restaurant quickly filled up behind me and it was a lively environment. I really appreciated that the TVs had sports shows on (huge sports fan and was in town to visit Busch Stadium) so it gives you something to look at. I ordered the toasted ravioli and a tiramisu. As a solo traveler, I have to limit how much I can order so this was the perfect amount for me. The food was amazing and I wished that I could have tried more plates. The ravioli had great flavors and texture and the tiramisu was so creamy and fresh. I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself. The customer service from all staff members was amazing! Thank you for this experience :)
