Late evening visit with family and this was the recommendation. It was good. Waitress was friendly. And, they were cleaning things very well as they were getting ready to close. It was very clean. Good old-fashioned pepperoni pizza was a thin crust. Tasty. Cannolis were interesting. Not something I'd order again, but my wife was fascinated by them.

This restaurant is closest to our hotel. For a number of reasons we had a stressful day and just wanted a nice salad and bed. The hostess brought us to our table and a waitress came by quickly to take a drink order. The first draft beer my SO ordered was not available. The first cocktail I ordered was not available, the second they didn't know how the make the third I made as basic a requeat as I could. They could make that one but with a different liquor than the one I requested. So 'full' bar-ish. I guess all this wrangling over getting a drink order in put our waitresses knickers in a twist. Always polite to our face she slammed every drink, including waters onto the table top. She did a good job being sure we had what we needed, but in this place everyone knows each other and we started getting side eye from the table next to us so she was clearly venting about us to other customers. The salads were fresh with a nice variety of toppings. We would stop here again for the food. The tables were clean, seating comfortable, menu varied. Between music and conversation the room is loud. Our waitress asked us repeatedly if we were ready for another adult beverage. Every time she passed the table, very agressively. After a stressful day, this unnecessary treatment was just the suck cherry on top. We just wanted a quiet meal to unwind. Sorry our mental exhaustion annoyed you.

This place has so much potential, great service and good food but the other day we came in and were served alcohol and watched the gaming machines be taken away. I looked up the public records and sure enough their liquor license has been expired for over a month? I'm not sure how this is legal but this business should NOT be selling alcohol while their liquor license is expired

Buckle up everybody! You're gonna wanna put this one at the top of your list! Went on a date with my fiancé to this nice little spot, and I could tell by the smells and the aesthetic, we were in for a treat! I wish I could've taken video because the inside of this restaurant is so nice and chill. We sat down, and in true big Backian fashion, I ordered a lot the bread bites and the pizza?! in hindsight, I would've gotten a small because I ate off that medium for another 3 days! We were there around closing, and that didn't affect our servers mindset at all! She was absolutely amazing! Prepare to not only be full, but to have some amazing left overs for days to come! Thank you Rosati's!!!

Very excited to have somewhere that serves Chicago deep dish pizza on the IL side of the STL-metro area. Went at lunch time with a friend on a rare Monday off. We both ordered drinks and decided to split a small deep dish pizza with chicken, spinach, & cheese. It was the perfect size for 2 people as we each had two slices and each got to take a slice home for lunch the next day. Our service was good and the drinks were great with reasonable prices. Excited to go back and try more things!

It was after 1 pm and there were only 2 slices of cheese pizza in the case. The person at the counter said there were more pizzas in the oven and they would be up soon. It was worth the wait. The pepperoni pizza was hot and delicious even after traveling the 25 min. home. I told me wife about the deal and the experience..both being positive. Then, on two separate occasions, we went out of our way, while traveling, only to be disappointed because the deal is from 11 to 3:00. Today's experience...we arrived at 1:50 pm. We were excited because we were finally going to get the $5 deal. We went in the door and there was 1 slice of cheese pizza. I asked if more pizza was coming out. The gal behind the counter said no because it was a slow day and the pizza would go to waste. ( The lunch special was supposed to be valid for another 70 min. Any other restaurant will try to accomodate their patrons for lunch special up to and including 2:59.) There's counter person was not concerned about disappointing customers or even trying to show some empathy. We asked about ordering a pizza..."for here or to go"...."here"..."you have to order that in dining room". We discussed it while sitting and both felt that the person at the front counter need some customer relation training. Another person was working the dining area. She was very friendly. We placed our order for a 14" Classic Combo. It was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Our opinion, as we discussed it at length, is Rosati's has the best thin crust of all the pizza places we've eaten. Their sauce is a little tomato forward. They seem to care about the amount of toppings on the pizza. We did feel that the pie was light on the sausage. There was an ample amount of the other toppings including pepperoni. We noted the pepperoni tasted closer to bacon than the classic savory pepperoni flavor. And there was plenty of melty stringing cheese!!. I am really getting discouraged at the amount of money restaurants are charging for soft drinks. A 20oz soft drink costs the restaurant 5 to 15 cents for syrup and CO² and they charge the customer $3.75 to, in Rosati's cases $4.00. Ambiance...it's large and uses cold materials. Looks like a semi sports bar. Prices...on the higher end for pizza Wait staff...hit or miss... one good-one not so much. Food quality...(pizza) very good Lunch special...if you can get it, it's a great deal. The all important!! The left-over pizza is very good, cold straight from the refrigerator

When I saw they had hot honey and pepperoni paired together on a 8" pizza, I instantly knew that was one of my choices. The fresh mozzarella and ricotta cheeses paired with the hot honey and pepperoni exploded with flavor. My only disappointment was the inner crust. The outer rim crust was very crispy, but the inner was soft and limp due to the excessive grease from the flavorful pepperoni. I guess that is something I just need to deal with for a tasty lunch pizza. My other choice was, the Apple Gorgonzola Salad. Wow. Double Wow! This has to be the best salad I have ever had. It was a delightful mix of, spinach, granny smith apple, gorgonzola, sun-dried cranberries, candied pecans, all topped with a delicious maple cider vinaigrette. I will be back for the large version and a glass of Pino Grigio as a dinner. As my usual, I sat at the bar. My adult beverage of choice, was a Peel Summer Lager. I may be going back to fill my growler, for the upcoming holiday weekend. The restaurant has a contemporary feel, but the acoustics make it a loud environment. I didn't mind the laughter and loud conversations, it was the yelling and crying toddlers that made me cringe. Service was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed watching the bartenders use their mixologist skills preparing all the cocktails. It pleased me to see they offer "hooks under the bar". That's a small detail that makes me smile.

There's a charming patio out front, if you want it. You can settle in for a long dinner, post up at the bar for the night, or grab a quick bite before heading out on the town. Bartenders are warm and approachable, and the in-house mixology is confident without any "we spent 30 hours perfecting this" pretense. The whole experience is like Sam Malone the bartender (save the drama) at Cheers: friendly, self-assured, the kind of place that makes you feel like you could spend all night there without anyone rushing you. We had a Paper Plane and an Old Fashioned -- the latter served over a custom ice cube stamped with a double ax (a nod to the wood fire). The cocktail list leans classic and reliable: if you know you like gin or vodka, you'll find something easy here. The espresso martini is the standout, it works as a dessert drink or any other time of the meal. We started with the Smorgasbord instead of our usual garlic knots (which are their own delicacy), and it didn't disappoint: toasted brioche with mascarpone and strawberry jam, several cured meats (capicola, prosciutto, pepperoni), parmesan, gouda, dried cherries, and chutney. My one nitpick; the pepperoni and gouda were tiny cubes, which makes them tough to grab cleanly compared to the sliced parmesan or rolled prosciutto. In this situation give the man a toothpick. The tallow-fried wings are, in my opinion, the best in St. Louis. The beef-tallow-and-potato-starch breading produces a tempura-like texture and crunch that keeps them light. Adventurous-but-classic sauces, bourbon butter BBQ, buffalo, and pineapple honey habanero (legitimately spicy; bring backup). The wings stand on their own without sauce. For pizza, we got the Napoli (tomato, fresh and smoked mozzarella, arugula, parmesan, black pepper, olive oil) -- her standing favorite. Expect proper Neapolitan: soft center, thin crust, charred crisp edge. Don't lift and bite fold it. (She insists: no fork. I use a fork - I know how dare I!) The pizza menu reads creative but never gimmicky; meat-lovers, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-conscious diners all have real options. Before Kyle took over, Pizzeoli was known as a vegan-forward spot, and that flexibility lives on. We closed with the seasonal ice cream sandwich, fresh-pressed pizzelle wafers, crème brûlée ice cream, and a torched marshmallow cap. Excellent. A couple of practical notes: they're dinner-only (4-9:30) and the new reservation phone line is a robo call. Easier to use the online waitlist or book online directly. Pizzeoli is dressed-down-or-dressed-up friendly, kid-welcoming, and somehow works equally well for a pre-game stop or your dinner of the week. I've never had a bad dish here, and there are several I come back for specifically -- Lesley for the Napoli, me for the wings. 4.9 stars out of 5. If that toothpick shows up, a perfect 5. ;) Worth the trip across town, an hour drive for a long dinner, if it were open for lunch, the suggestion for two trips in one day would be welcomed or two-days in a row.
