God forbid you work and you want to sit down and eat around 11 o'clock when they open and DARE YOU disturb the bartender/hostess/waitress who is on her phone and doesn't want to be disturbed! last time I checked, "at work" means exactly that, and I think you're getting paid to work not be on your phone but I might be wrong. Everyone thinks that Chicago deep dish pizza is the ultimate pizza from the Midwest area. But it's actually actually thin crust, square cut pizza which is sometimes called tavern style. This pizza is the ultimate Midwestern pizza. Rosati's does an amazing job with creating a pie that has fresh ingredients and the satisfying crunch of thin crust. We ordered a thin crust pizza, half cheese, 1/2 veggie, the only thing is that the jalapenos were on top of the pizza and kept on falling off my slice. I wish the jalapenos were baked under the cheese. This location for rosati's has a really nice restaurant and has live music sometimes in the weekends. This Rosati's is a stand alone building. It was completely remodeled inside and out when they moved into it. They did a great job! They have curb service set up to where you order over the phone or in our case inside. When your order is ready they bring it out to your car. Hopefully you realize that this is not only a pizza place. They have a huge menu of great items to chose from. My wife and I both ordered the Italian Beef sandwich A.K.A "The Cheef". Mine had mozzarella and hot peppers added and hers mozzarella and sweet peppers. This sandwich as all of them are available on garlic bread. But we passed on it this time. We've had Rosati's before, but never dined in at any of them that I can remember. This one is close to home, and we pass it all the time, so we decided to try it out. We called our order ahead, because we weren't sure if we would have to leave quickly... it was perfect timing! We were able to have a delicious beer, right before the pizza arrived. It was AMAZING (Highly recommend the Windy City!). On top of the delicious beer and pizza, our server, Adam was also 5 stars! We asked for a shot recommendation (happy Friday!), and he treated us to an "Adam special" which was quite tasty! Consistently good pizza! I am an original Southsider, so I am super picky about my pizza. I can't give them 5 stars, but they do a really decent job and their sausage is great, which puts them ahead of a lot of other joints. I recommend it. I do wish they had canned mushrooms as an option in addition to the fresh. Sometimes I will sauté my own at home and add them to their pizza because I prefer the canned and this Rosati's is a little skimpy with their ingredients sometimes anyways. I also order the Italian Beef sandwich here and it's pretty decent. I recommend it over the Cheef (Beef with mozzarella cheese melted on it) and let me tell you why-- because they put the sandwich under the heating element and they leave some of the bread exposed in doing so and that part of the bread dries out and gets hard and is often burnt and it's gross. I used to be the cook and kitchen manager in a different restaurant and I am telling you they are doing it wrong. They need to make sure that bread is covered with the cheese and not overcook it when they're melting it; it really ruins an otherwise great sandwich. So until they figure that out, just order it without the cheese and your roll won't be ruined. I used to get their individual pizza slices quite frequently, which are sizable but hit or miss in taste depending on how recently they were made. I stopped getting them, however, when they jacked the price on them out of nowhere. For a couple extra bucks you can get a nice hot fresh made-to-order pizza, so why waste that much money on one slice that has a 50-50 shot of being stale. Other Rosati's locations charge much less for a slice AND include a can of soda pop in the deal. Not here. read more

Our last experience here wasn't the best. Ordered through The Slice App. Estimated delivery time was about an hour and a half which seemed long. It legitimately took an hour and thirty two minutes. We ordered a medium cheese pizza, spaghetti with meat sauce w/baked mozz and a side salad. The pizza was barely warm. Dave actually started up the oven to heat it back up so took even longer to eat. DO NOT ORDER PASTA! It was the saddest order of pasta I've had. Mushy watery noodles. Barely any tasteless red sauce. I think the meat in the "meat sauce" (if you could call it that) was just cut up meatballs that were also mushy and flavorless. An entire container of parm cheese dust could not help this meal. My family loves Friday's pizza night it's just how we were raised we eat pizza on Fridays or Saturdays and Sunday dinner we cook. Well I order a pizza yesterday and I had the pizza delivered to my home. I gave the driver the cash I had on me, as I don't usually have cash. About an hour later I received a call from I guess the owner or service manager . telling me I need either tip more money or if I am having a financial struggle I need to come pick my pizza up because a 5.00 dollar delivery fee that drivers make is not enough for them to even put gas in there car and I didn't give him a tip. Well I did tip the driver and the nerve of this restaurant manager or worker to call my house and tell me to either tip next time or choose pickup. So how about I will never purchase anything from this place again there are plenty of pizza places in this area for pizza that my family can eat from. This is rude and I can't believe that who ever owns this restaurant allows this type of behavior to go on in this establishment. Last time I ordered, the person on the phone put me on hold several times, which is never a problem, but somehow thought I had said I wanted to come pick it up instead of have it delivered. They then argued with me over whether I said "pickup" or "delivery", as if I forgot what I wanted. I really dislike arguing, don't you? They forgot our garlic bread with our pasta not once but twice, they promised to leave a note for next time. we order it again the next week, they don't give us the bread they owe us because the dumb girl who took our order didn't believe us. absolutely horrible customer service. then we have a coupon for free cheesy bread (from rosatis.com) the dumb girl again didn't believe us and charged us for the bread sticks. it's so annoying dealing with incompetent people. Is it a guilty pleasure? Maybe. This is our "go to" place for thin crust pizza when we want it. This Carol Stream location offers a jumbo size which not all of the other stores offer. Take out and delivery only. It's in the Village Market place mall which is easy to get in and out of.. I'll frequently combine some minor shopping into my pick up trip. It's not Vito and Nicks... but I really like it anyway. The store is clean and efficient, the pizza is consistent. We always ask for it well done and extra crispy.. I'm not sure that we are making a difference with that.. Decent crust, very cheesy, good with quantities of additional ingredients. This is an efficient and well run take out pizza place. Ordered delivery dozens of times, but this was our first dine in experience. Wow.... I'm not sure if we just got a fantastic waitress, or if this is how they treat all their dine in guests, but the service was outstanding. I can't recall a time we where I was ever treated this well at any restaurant. The appetizer was these dough nuggets tossed in garlic butter and topped with parmesan. The kids had 8" cheese pizzas, wife had jumbo ravs and I had wings and a chicken parmigiana sandwich. The food was all delicious and plentiful. We have a ton of leftovers for lunch tomorrow! To top it all off, their prices are even reasonable! I really can't say enough great things about our experience dining in the restaurant. Come here if you want VERY slow service, and food which could very well have been ready 15 minutes before you actually get it. We came in for lunch, a group of five at about 12:15. Out server started out good, and was the reason for a second star. We waited over 20 minutes for the first salad to come out, and 30 minutes for the appetizer. The meal? Nearly 40 minutes after we ordered - at close to 1:00pm! Also, there were only three parties in the entire restaurant? I think the cook was probably playing some intense video games in their gaming booth, and forgot to make finish making the meals. I tried the chicken sandwich, and it was actually a decent size. Fairly warm, with fresh onion and tomato, but old lettuce. Meh... The fries? They were apparently done for quite a while, and barely over room temperature by the time we got the orders. Others in the party were not excited, and though not offering anything specific, said this was not what they expected from Rosati's, mentioning other locations they would recommend instead of this one. We've enjoyed several orders from this restaurant (through GH), but tonight the driver gave us an earful that the drive is too long and we should be ordering from a different location that is closer to us. I called the restaurant asking why the driver would tell us this? The woman that answered defended the driver. She was rude, belligerent, and talked over me the entire time. I'm disappointed that the staff thinks we souldn't order from the restaurant, but I'm happy to accomidate their wishes. *UPDATE* The manager called me to discuss the situation. He confirmed that we are definitely in their delivery area, and that driver was totally out of line. ****Updated review**** We had to separate from Rosatti's for a long while due to unfriendly phone service, long delivery times and pizzas arriving cold. After almost a year away and during COV-19, I suddenly had a taste for pizza. Needed a break from cooking. I went on to the Rosatti's website to find a very reassuring message about the ways they are keeping employees and customers safe during COVD-19. I did have a quick, "please hold" when I called and waited on hold 3 minutes but with shelter in place, I didn't have anywhere to hurry off to this time. So, I waited. Boy, oh boy, am I glad I did. The pizza arrived within 30 minutes (normally, it closer to 75 minutes), the pizza was pipping hot (normally, it's lukewarm borderline cold), it smelled soooo good, the ingredients were fresh, the Italian sausage and sauce seasoned perfectly. We literally ate 6 slices each before we could sit at the dinner table. Oh, and we had contact-less delivery. Driver knocked on our door and left the pizza on our doormat. Thank you Rosatti's for redeeming yourself with such a positive experience. Our tummies thank you and we were left smiling during such a difficult time in the world.
