I rarely post reviews but felt led to share a rebuttal to a pretty negative review of one of our very favorite places to eat. My husband and our friends eat at Rosatis often. We've always had excellent service and the food is amazing! The unhappy reviewer in their comparison to Lou Milnatis left me puzzled, since it doesn't even come close to what we encounter every time we go. I suppose this review is for both Rosati's and my ordering experience through the yelp app. After placing my order through the yelp app it said that my order would be ready for pick up within 60-70 minutes! A few minutes later it gave me an exact pick up time for 8:39 pm, which if you look at my receipt, it says to be ready for pick up at 8:22 pm . That's almost a 20 minute difference, plus add in the time I takes to get the pizza home and on the dinner table. Needless to say our pizza was almost cold =( Not only that but I had pineapples on the whole pizza even after I *NOTED* to only put them on half the pizza. I also ordered jalapeño poppers, that again needed to be reheated I thought it was weird that online it says that it comes with ranch dipping sauce, but mine came with salsa lol. Never have I ever seen jalapeño poppers served with salsa (I'm assuming it was a mistake ) . Miner mistakes but overall after picking off the pineapples for my daughter, reheating our pizza, and using ranch that I had at home, we enjoyed the food. We went to the new eat-in Rosatis tonight. We got there about 10:00 pm or so. The pizza was good and the service was great. Only after we left (at 11:30 or so) did we notice that the "dine-in" hours are 11 am to 10 pm. They are open until 1:00 am for pick up and delivery. We didn't even notice the door hours. We assumed since there is a bar in there now the eat in hours were the same. We felt bad that we came in so late and the server had to stay late because of us. They were very gracious and sweet. Never once mentioned that the restaurant area stopped serving. The guy from the kitchen walked past and asked how our pizza was. We very much appreciated how polite and gracious they all were. First time at Rosati's. Ordered deep fried mushrooms, fried zucchini and dough nuggets as appetizers. First 2 were average, the dough nuggets were superb! Would definitely have again. Also ordered a thin crust pizza, half with pepperoni and pineapple and the other with sausage. The sausage was very good and the pizza had a nice amount of cheese. I didn't care for the canned pineapple. I also would prefer a sweeter sauce, but that is just preference. The waitress was lovely. We didn't know they had 1/2 off your first pizza on Mondays, so we were surprised when the bill came and it was less than expected. I think the way you like your pizza is very individual, so although this wasn't my favorite, I'm sure many others would love it. read more

Wednesday trivia nights are lots of fun with great crowds. Go to spot on Friday nights. Good date night location, or spot for family and friends. This Rosati's is awesome. I know there are more people who feel the same way. On a Friday Night on a recent visit, I counted 9 people picking up pizza at the same time. Even better, the longest person who waited there was me, and I was there for 5 minutes! This is only because I arrived early because I was so excited to get my pizza pie! Indeed, it's hard to find and the people were friendly. Upon walking in, I appreciated the full view of the kitchen. Who knew a pizza kitchen was so friggin big?! As a Rosati's first-timer, I did not become a fan. Judging from the reviews, this Rosati's location is the best in Chicagoland, so it couldn't have been a location-specific issue. Perhaps I won't enjoy any Rosati's pizza. FYI we ordered a large thin sausage. Both the sausage and crust didn't have enough flavor. Absolutely fantastic! The folks at this Rosati's clearly have their acts together. We had a party at the Ackerman sports complex in Glen Ellyn. Our party was on a Sunday afternoon and knew it might be a challenge finding a pizza place able to deliver at 1:00 P.M. I placed the order for our pizzas a couple days in advance and handled the credit card payment over the phone. At exactly 1:00 P.M., the Rosati's delivery man arrived as promised with our 3 piping hot gorgeous pizzas. Everyone at the party raved about how great the pizza was and asked where we ordered it from. These pizzas are classic Chicago-style THIN CRUST at their finest-- cheese beautifully golden brown and super delicious. They at least had gloves on, but there are many restaurants providing pick up service, and I think we'll go elsewhere for our takeout. My husband wore a face mask to protect you. The delivery person(an older person) dropped off the food and was rather rude. Received a call that he was at my building. Came down he was just getting out of his car, came up and said "I assume this is for you." Then proceeded to open the heated travel bag and indicated I needed to pull my own food out. If I hadn't already tipped before hand I wouldn't have left much. I get that I ordered an hour before close, but my order was simple and I tipped nicely. If you don't want people to place delivery orders before a certain time then don't make it available. Too bad because we really enjoy the food. Probably won't order from here again. Our family was famished, we placed a large order and it was over and hour for delivery. The door dash driver had called us to let us know they burned our pizza so they had to remake it which is why it was delayed. We received the food and the pizza was fresh, the rest of the sandwiches and sides were all cold, and/or burnt yet received cold and also received wrong items. We call the restaurant to tell them that this was unacceptable. The person on the phone, there was no manager there, offered to remake the food but it was really busy and would be long time. We just asked them for a refund. After being put on hold for a very long time, they would issue the refund after we returned the food. The whole experience was great. From the lady taking the order, to the delivery man. The food (pastas) (and a calzone) was so amazing that I have finally signed up for yelp. The manager at this location does not give good customer service. He cheated me on a GROUPON deal and I was not happy about that. I have two friends that worked for him (Adil) the owner, and they said he will do anything to save money and they recommend that I go to any other rosati location except this one. We loved this pizza restaurant, that has a full menu . The restaurant is new & recently remodeled. Has a nice bar area. We were very impressed with the place. Our thin crust pizza was delicious ! One of the best pizzas ever. It is definitely one of our favorite places now. It has sit down or carry out. Plus they have a huge 20 inch pizza , if you ask. Their sausage is Among the best I've had and the overall sauce / cheese ratio and sauce flavor profile is what I love about Rosatis. Conveniently located at the Geneva / President corner.
