I had a huge craving for Argentinian pizza, nobody makes it better. We decided to try a new place because Lou or Rosati's do not come near close to the Argentinian style. Di Maria is a bit closer to what I was craving. We order a medium double dough extra mozzarella and it was good, it took care of my itch. Next time we are going to try single-dough extra mozzarella because it was "intense" according to my husband. It was way too much pizza for two people, sacrificing and eating leftovers today haha. The pizza is always great. Fresh ingredients and crispy crust. The good surprise has been the catering menu. People always ask where we ordered from. The Cesar salad, wings and chicken tenders are delicious. The chicken tenders are made in house, not frozen, with a light crispy batter. Well tonight I had to continue baking the pizza once it was delivered as the crust wasn't cooked all the way through The owner chose to respond and apparently if you don't want raw dough you have to ask for "well done". A little over 3 stars, but not quite 4. So the best we can rate for now is 3. Pizza we'd rate about a B+. Decent, good. Nothing bad by any stretch, but not something that knocked our socks off either. Very similar to Sir Nick's Pizza in Carol Stream. Sausage tastes pretty basic. (Note - pizza has arrived PIPING HOT though, which is a plus. We live 5 miles away, and have been impressed how hot it has arrived). - Burger was just "okay." Quite pricey. Both times we ordered, the burger was almost pink on the inside, like medium rare at best. It tasted okay, but really wasn't cooked properly. And again, a bit pricey. - Fries - not so good. Very basic "battered" style. They do give you a lot, but they just aren't that good. Also, if you want fries with the burger, it's an extra $2.50 or so. - Wings - OUTSTANDING. That's so far what is saving the place. No complaints there - great taste, nice size, decently priced. Delivery has been on time, and as mentioned, the pizza was always piping hot. So - there IS room for improvement with this place for it to be even better - change up the supplier for a few of these food items (ie. get your Italian Sausage from Greco), and those food items will taste much better. :) read more

This is a solid local pizza joint. It's not the cheapest, and they do have coupons but nothing really ever feels like a deal. You can easily spend $30 on a gourmet pizza. That said, their Italian meatballs with giardiniera is a fave. And the bbq chicken. One thing that bothers me is that don't always tell you what's in the food. Like the poutine has bacon and they don't really know what's in their meatballs. I've called a few times and depending on who answers the phone it's pork, beef, or they don't know. In today's world I think it's pretty mandatory to mention ingredients. But that's a small gripe. The storefront is pretty bare, really just a pickup counter. Gets the job done Edit: they are beef! So we have been faithful customers for about 3 years now and thought I should put my two cents in. This is actually a 3.75 star review. There's a reason we keep ordering. First, I appreciate that you don't have to pay for a third party delivery, and if you call, you can get the best service. The pizza is consistently good. All the people are friendly, helpful, delivery people are very nice. There was an error on one of our orders and we were comped when I called. Prices are fair. Wings are surprisingly good for a primarily pizza place - wished they would have come with celery. I enjoy their Chicken piccata which is on special once a week. I love the Caprese salad primarily because they have tomatoes that are actually RED unlike many places. This is super important to me. Tiramisu -very good! Also, I truly believe that they are always trying to please their customers! And yes, that guy below for sure is a troll.... there is no way they would have treated him badly, I can vouch for their customer service!!! Constructive feedback for the owner because I care and want them to succeed - or maybe I've been watching too many episodes of Kitchen Nightmares. I'm seeing quality struggles - probably trying to cut corners to improve margin.. Just don't. My complaints would be: #1: PLEASE STOP using jarred, pre-chopped garlic. It's terrible and ruins all your pasta dishes so we don't order them anymore. Fresh garlic is so much better, cheaper, and not much more effort! So what you lose in money for labor to smash and chop a clove you make up in food cost. :) Also please watch the overcooking on the pasta dishes. If you are re-heating, consider slightly undercooking for prep. Seems to be frequent. #2 Ranch dressing is not good. Get the Hidden Valley Ranch Mix and make it fresh every week - you will sell so much more salads or apps with a good tasting ranch option! I have actually avoided ordering things for me and my kids due to the disappointing ranch dressing and I think another reviewer said something about it too. hint: Red Apple has the BEST ranch dressing in town and we sometimes go there to eat just because of it! #3 The calamari used to be my son's favorite but I think they are using a different supplier and as another reviewer mentioned, they are just like frozen rings, no good. Please go back to the prior brand! #4 also agree with another reviewer that the Vesuvio lacks, for sure. i would order this often if it were good! Chicken rubbery, potatoes too big and mushy and taste mediocre. What about using bone in chicken? Cheaper than breasts anyway and would be juicier and tastier... This is an easy, traditional recipe that can be excellent if executed well with better quality ingredients! Nothing sparse or overcooked. I ordered the appetizer sampler /assortment. A good variety; mushrooms and zucchini were favorites. I didn't much care for the breading on the mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers: too thick and bland. I was happy to have ample ranch and marinara sauce. Called AN HOUR after the pizza left the restaurant and the owner told me they accidentally put the wrong time in for when it left the restaurant and it only went out 10 minutes ago. It finally arrived and the delivery guy confirmed that he's had it for an hour and that he's "very busy." The pizza was stone cold. They gave me a $5 credit on my $40 cold pizza. I had NO idea this place had the same owners as Mama Maria's in Elmhurst! Yay! I used to go there as a kid up through high school and loved their sausage pizza!
