After a long day at work in downtown Denver--my first day at the office after finally testing negative for Covid--I stopped to pick up my pizza from Rosati's. A man waiting in the store complained to his wife about how their pizza is going to take another 20 minutes. Me: They must be short staffed. The pizza is good though! Man: I really hope so. This is the first time I'm ordering from here. I've never waited this long before for a pizza. I wanted to treat my grandson who has been working hard in our backyard. I was then told by a young man that my pizza would also take another 20 minutes, which would take it well past 7. Me: But you close at 7. Young man: No. We close at 8. Me: You have a sign there that says you close at 7. He has no idea it was there. He took it down and threw it away. I texted my husband to let him know. Hubs: Never ordering from there again? Me: That's not fair. They may just be having a bad day. Next time, we should call to find out the real wait time before ordering online. I'm huge on supporting local businesses. Several others arrived, and joined the wait. The first man finally got his pizza, wished me luck and left. Shortly after, the young man working the front also left. Pizzas were called out by name by another young man, and those folks also left. I figured they must have ordered before me. Then the last person to arrive also got his pizza. Me: I've been here over half an hour. Do you have an ETA on my pizza? Young man: What's the order? Me: 42 [I know! All I can tell you is that it's definitely not the answer at Rosati's!] Young man (pulls out pizza from warming oven): Oh, it's been ready for a while. I just forgot about it. Seriously? I called my husband: Never ordering from there again! I was in there for 38 minutes. Waiting for a pizza that was ready! Why did I even bother convincing the other customer that it was worth the wait? On a weekend, I might have more patience. But on a weekday, especially a long day when I was feeling the fatigue associated with recovery from Covid, I did my best not to get upset. They didn't know my situation. But they should have known that the pizza was ready, that someone was waiting for it and that they made someone wait for no reason. All other pizzas were called out by name. And some were called multiple times when there was no answer. Just not mine. It's just my luck that these things happen to me. My advice to you is this: call them. If they don't answer their phone (it was ringing and ringing), get your pizza fix elsewhere. If they answer, ask them how long it's really going to take. Then decide if you want to place your order. I recognize that there are challenges in every business, but delivering a burnt pizza where the outer two inches are charred. As a long time customer at other locations, this is beyond what I would consider acceptable. To be fair, I called to get some direction. 30 min before closing, I was sent to voice mail. So my trash can is filled with burnt crust. This experience was well below my Rosatti's experience. Charred food is not cool. I'm really sorry to read all the bad reviews for this place because they do not make sense me to, I'm a huge foodie and have loved this place the minute I moved to Louisville. Their Chicago deep dish is so damn good it doesn't even need additional toppings. I'm not a big fan of red sauce but their is sauce is SO GOOD??? Also love their garlic parm wings. (A little on the small side but so delicious) The service has always been quick and concise and I've never had an issue when I've ordered ahead or had delivery. I decided to try Rosati's in spite of the up and down reviews from my fellow Yelpers. I ordered a 10 inch deep dish pie with mushrooms, peppers, ground beef and onions. It arrived about 15 minutes earlier than forecast but early is better than late. In picture number 1 you see the pizza wrapped in plastic, that is the first time I had seen that. For some reason in spite of the wrapping and the cardboard box and early delivery it was room temperature. I threw it in the oven for a few minutes because cold or hot pizza is good, room temperature not so good. The little pizza was delicious, the edge crust just a little crispy and saucy in the middle like I prefer. Love the pizza, but their customer service is crap. Don't ever order a pizza on a Friday night, Saturday is probably no better. My pizza was supposed to be ready at 5:50 PM, when I arrived, there was 11 people waiting, the guy working the front desk, asked for my name and looked for the pizza and said it would be ready in just a few minutes. I waited another 20 minutes, just to finally figure out the pizzas been sitting in the warming oven the entire time. Now the pizza is not fresh, no apologies, really given, and I am late to get to my dinner. The guy working the front is incompetent, and the girl taking the phone calls is overwhelmed. She's doing her best, but they need more front desk help as well as back help on the weekends. They also need to set realistic expectations on when the pizzas are going to be ready. I went to the location on Courtesy Road in Louisville at 4:40 pm on a weekday.I Ordered a stuffed crust pizza with vegetables and I paid cash. The cashier told me 25 minutes and I returned at 5:05. The girl went in the back and asked how long it would be for the pizza. I heard the pizza maker say to the other employee it hadn't been put in the oven yet because they weren't sure how to make it. After they gave her a crash course on making the pizza the girl came back to the counter and concocted an elaborate story about some 2 step process they needed to use for my pizza. It would be 15 minutes more. Remember I heard the pizza maker admit she hadn't put it in the oven yet. I told them I didn't want a raw pizza and I was assured it wouldn't be raw. This time I waited in the store. In 15 minutes I was given a pizza. (At this point, remember the pizza would have been baked 40 minutes according to the staff). I put the pizza in my car and drove home. I pulled the box off the car seat and took it inside. Put it on the kitchen island (which is a custom cherrywood top) and I opened the box. The pizza looked terrible. It was warmish, it wasn't hot and then I saw the grease soaked box. Lifted up a slice and the grease / oil was saturating the pizza crust, the box and now my custom island top. I grabbed the two closest towels and put the pizza box on top of them. Damage control. These were expensive towels made in Europe and the only things I had handy. See pictures for the greasy mess I had to contend with. The pizza was raw-ish- certainly not a pizza cooked for 40 minutes as I was told it was (remember the special process for my pizza story above). So now, I have an undercooked pizza, a grease stain on my wood counter top and two expensive towels soaked in grease and no dinner for my family. The service was, wow, unbelievably terrible. I don't like being lied to. All they had to say was 'we screwed up and your pizza will be about 25 more minutes'. I would have been understanding. It happens. Nobody likes cold rawish pizza, right? Instead there was an elaborate cover up concocted by a staff of teenagers. That's another thing - six teenagers were running this store. Six. Teenagers. In charge. At dinner time. No adult was on site. I asked. So I'm not only out $32 for an inedible pizza swimming in grease that ruined two expensive towels, I find out teenagers are left to run a store and they obviously lacked the skills to fix it. They're teenagers. That shouldn't be in their job description. They are not to blame. Management is to blame. Poorly, poorly managed restaurant. I asked to be reimbursed for the pizza and the towels. Sent the receipts and Corporate and the local manager neither showed remorse or concern for my inconvenience or damages. I was reimbursed for the pizza. No mention of the towels their box of grease ruined. The manager probably isn't a teenager but their response was how you'd expect a teenager to respond. Inexperienced, non communicative and non responsive. While the corporate office personnel probably aren't teenagers either, they sure didn't care. My complaint was a 'hot potato' they couldn't get rid of fast enough. To that end we don't care about their business either. Hoping they shutter up before there's a catastrophe and young, unsupervised teenage employees succumb because they don't know what to do. Trying to cover up a mistake is a whole different animal than dealing with a gas leak, a robbery, or a fast moving, unexpected fire. read more

Goodness, Just like I remembered when we lived in the Chicago area. Nothing like a good deep-dish pizza!

I am not sure what happened to this place but I picked up a larger order for game night and came in to pick up. Had to ask one of the multitude of teen dudes for the 2-liter that came with the order, then for the salad that was missing, then utensils (we got 1 set even though it is shared family size) and then after all that I got home and NO SALAD DRESSING (this was an online order with Italian selected) inside the to go bag of salad that I specifically had to ask about. :( Additionally something has changed in the thin crust pizza, it is thicker and way too much cheese+ not enough ingredients compared to the numerous times we have ordered in the past. Unsure if this place has changed ownership recently or they changed recipes and/or staff training has fallen by the wayside. We will be switching to the Broomfield Rosati's for Chicago Tavern style pizza. read more

After the original review, the owner called and apologized and addressed our issue to our satisfaction. I'm a pizza snob. I've lived in Colorado since 2007 and up until I found Rosati's, I haven't found a place that stands out to me like I had prior to moving to Castle Rock, which being a smaller city had limited pizza options. Now we live in Westminster, so the hunt started again. I've found several places that do have good pizza, but not outstanding, until I round Rosati's. I've only ever ordered delivery, but the pizza is amazing, the toppings are not skimped on. The cheese they use is fantastic and plentiful. Someday I hope to be able to get the the restaurant and if they have dine in seating, eat there. The primary thing for me in a pizza is the sauce. Most places in Colorado offer a sweet sauce, not something I'm fond of, but is tolerable. Rosati's sauce is not overly sweet, but very flavorful and makes a wonderful pie. We bought 2 dough balls to prep at home. I have strict dietary needs so it's sometimes a must. We used these to make our version of pizza and cinnamon knots. The pizza was fantastic. Super thin and crispy. Delicious. However the knots were too crunchy. Definitely will be back for dough but will have to find a different dessert. People were polite but we had to wait 20 mins just for dough balls. It was a bit of a pain. read more

I am a huge fan of Chicago style deep dish pizza. I have tried versions of it in many places. Rosati's was DELICIOUS! The crust is similar to a Pizza Hut pan but better. I know... there are the hardcore deep dish lovers that will immediately dislike it because the crust is not cornmeal. Well, they are just missing out. In addition, the service was excellent. My husband and I opted for the curbside delivery. We called when we arrived and it had just come out of the oven. We drove back to the hotel (about a 10 minute drive) and it was still hot. Give them a try and you won't have to go all the way to Chicago for your deep dish fix! read more

It's genuinely upsetting that I've lived in Lafayette for years and I've not known about this gem. We ordered wings, jalapeno poppers and a "Monster" pizza cause ya know, quarantine diet reigns supreme. Everything we ordered came correctly and was delicious! I fully expected the poppers to be soggy and underwhelming; I was surprised that they were not. Sadly, I think this place is going down the drain. I live in Lafayette and have been a loyal customer of Rosati's since 2019, when I moved here from Boulder. I absolutely LOVE pizza and I was over the moon when I found this little gem. I always told people where the best pizza was in Colorado. Yes, it used to be THAT good. Im not sure what happened... They must have changed something in their ingredients. The last 2 pizzas I've had just tasted "old". That's the best way I can describe it. The crust tasted as if the pizza had been sitting outside by a pool for 6 hours, yet it was still hot. Very strange. The pizza just isn't that good anymore and it honestly breaks my heart. I think I have maybe had my last pizza ever from this place (7/1/2022). Also I have to echo the other recent reviews here and say that every time I pick up my pizza, there's just a bunch of teenagers running this place and they don't seem like they have any idea what they're doing. I was excited to try Rosati's but I'm compelled to share our experience. Ordered the $10 Rosati's sub thinking if they named it after the store it must be good right? Wrong I can easily say, while the flavors were Ok it was easily the most skimpy sub I've ever, ever had and mostly lettuce. Next I ordered the boneless wings. Same deal with portioning but lots of breading and not much Chicken. Ugg $20 and change and super disappointing. While I'm glad they seem to be doing a great business, (I don't want them to go out if business) to spend $20 at a pizza place and feel unsatisfied isn't my idea of a good meal. Rosati's is a tidy addition to this cozy little plaza conveniently located on 42 just south of S Boulder Rd. Pretty darn good pizza. Decent deep dish. Fresh ingredients and high quality. Very friendly and helpful staff. Prices are a bit high, but in CO you apparently have to pay extra for decent pizza! Sauce could also be a little spicier / complex (throwing on some jalapeños, pepperoncinis, and / or crushed red pepper to your pie of choice will help with this). Also, the wait is almost always 50+ minutes, even for just a pick up! If they could speed this up a little I would definitely be dropping in more. read more

Incredibly bland. It doesn't taste bad, it just has no taste. Got the spaghetti with sausage. I've never had sausage before where there's no taste to it. I was traveling from Aurora to Superior to visit a friend who just moved to Colorado. Being that I'm not from the general area, I googled Rosati's and thought it would be a good place to grab a deep dish pizza and be on my way. On Saturday, October 14 I called my order in at 5:15 pm and was told it will be ready 45-60 minutes. I thought it should give me plenty of traveling time to get there at 6:00pm with only 5-10 minutes extra to wait. I let 15 minutes go by, before inquiring about my order. The kid at the front told me that it's in the oven and it will be out in the next 15 minutes or so. Then that time went over and I asked again. Got the same excuses. It seemed that there was so many teens working and much confusion in the kitchen. Meanwhile, the waiting area was filling up with other unhappy customers. FINALLY! I received my order at 6:45pm! How is this place even 3.5 stars?!? Just the worst pizza experience ever. Had to call 3 times to place an order. 1st time someone picked up the phone but they clearly just put it on the counter. I waited for 5 min (literally) then hung up and called again. 2nd time they asked if they could put me on hold. I said yes then they hung up on me. 3rd time I finally got through someone and it was like taking organic chemistry class. Absolutely painful. First of all they have some super antiquated phone system that sounds like they are trying to send a fax while on the phone with you. Then I had to repeat my order like 5x. Then when she asked me for my credit card expiration date, I said "September 2013", to which she snapped, "Can you just read me the numbers please?" Are you joking me?!? Knowing it was their opening day, I ordered a large thin crust pizza (P/S). (My Chicago bonafides: attended Northwestern, so many Chicago pizzas at places like Malnatis, Ginos, Giordanos, Carmen's et al.) They had clear kinks on the phone side (which was minor, but not totally unexpected for 1st day). Delivery was friendly--but the pizza arrived looking like a taco, completed smushed and folded over. I called back to mention the issue (not a minor one): I didn't actually *need* remediation (we ate it anyhow), but was surprised when the original phone person offered none: simply said 'thanks for the feedback.' I asked for a manager call and got one from the owner: with a very sincere apology, and an offer to deliver an entirely new pizza ASAP that she would delivered. I was full, but with a bunch of hungry people at a bar (pinball Mondays at Endo!) I accepted the gracious offer. I accept that there are operational kinks on the 1st day so though my service experience was not optimal, I will try again. As for the (square-cut) pizza... so in these gluten-averse days, when you hear 'thin crust' you might think something that's more like a cracker with light toppings. Not in this case. I was shocked by how heavy the thin crust P/S pie actually was: it is *way* heavier than pizza that most local places would consider to be 'standard crust.' The taste was good and the crispness of the edges was good. The first pie was a mess so cannot judge its texture, pieces sorta mushed together. The second pie, on the other hand, was newer out of the oven, had no toppings (other than cheese/sauce), and was intact--and was distinctly better, as judged by the 10 or so pinballers who partook of it. I'd hold off on a substantive judgment of its Chicago-ness until I try the deep dish. It did not surpass Adesso for east county pizza honors, but it is very good pizza and I look forward to trying more of it. read more

HOLY MOLY! Crazy incredible service, couldn't believe my own eyes. This cashier guy Hank is legit. I'd trust this business with my life.

To begin with, when we opened the boxes, which had been delivered, it looked like they had been tipped towards one side. The sauce on our deep dish had slid over so 1/3 of the pizza was bare, and the cheese and toppings on our thin crust were all smushed over to one side. The thin crust was decent...the cheese was too thick but that was likely because the distribution changed when it was tipped. The deep dish was terrible. To begin with, Chicago-style deep dish pizza is supposed to have a flaky crust. Rosati's own menu describes it like that. But our crust was dense and breast with a very soggy bottom. Several of us didn't even finish our pieces, opting to just have more of the thin crust. We will definitely not be going back. read more
