So I've been trying to add a review for this off the street great pizza stop. I first had Abo's back in the 80's when my sister was attending CU Boulder. Occasionally she would leave me alone in her room with the tv and a pizza to babysit me, lol. As of late alot of ppl that grew up in the area anxiously awaited the return of Godfathers Pizza and upon its return the wait was for noting. It truly was, in my opinion , not the Godfathers we were expecting. So we went back to our favorite Anthony's. Which is a good pie and we enjoy it and I would recommend but upon passing by Abo's I told my wife we should give them a shot at our business because Friday night has become pizza night. My wife was open to it and readily stated well this is our new pizza place. We stopped in on a Saturday early afternoon for lunch . You order at the counter and our pie was delivered to our table in less than 15 min. !! Nice and piping hot. My wife also noticed that thier sausage is made in-house. There is never a reason to ask for extra cheese because it already comes on your pie. Take a chance and they do offer delivery if you fortunate enough to live in the area and also can walk in and order by the slice. read more

If they don't want to make pizzas the way people order them they should work in construction or somewhere they don't have to deal with customers They're dirt bags in here. Salad was served with rotten lettuce. The pizza was horrible. They have gone downhill and they are expensive.

This is my second time being here at this location. First time I walked in the staff was checking out an order from another couple very. Ice to them I walk up and demeanor changes very off as if they don't want to help me. the feeling they have off. Second time I come in with my children a group of 4 and go asks at the front cashier " is this a party? Then we get served out pizza and are eating a family comes in and dines in. they go and sit down and it's only my family and theirs in the restauran. We keep eating and the tall bald worker comes up and says " hey sorry can I take these ( Parmesan and peppers shakers" And gives them over to the other family knowing we were using them and also their were more stalked away in the fridge Didn't let us respond a yes or no just took them from us and handed them to the other family and went back begind the kitchen area Seen us get upset and packed are belongings and watched us walk out The other family walks out as I'm typing this and abos staff tells them bye and have a good one. WAY MORE EXPENSIVE LATELY! I grew up in Boulder where Abo's was born, and I love it. But now the cost of a medium 2 topping (16"pie) is nearly $30 after tax and tip. Other places have the same overhead costs (ingredients, salary and rent) that Abo's has, yet they manage to sell the same size and same topping pizzas for around $20 or even less. It's a good NY style pizza, but the inflated cost is a big downgrade for Abo's anymore. read more

Went online to order Abo's Pizza and notice a special for Friday nights. So i decided to orderthe 2 18" pizzas for the 20% off on Fridays. imagine my surprise when i go up to pay and the girl who is behind the counter says...."Yeah, we dont offer specials so i dont know where you saw this" I decided not tomake a scene but i was irritated and being brushed off like some annoyance so I stepped out of line to get a screenshot of the website and show it to her. I ask her why they wouldnt honor it and her response again is...."Yeah we dont do specials soooooo....sorry i guess we will look into that....." I then tell her that this had made me want to never return to this business or spend my money here....her response.....". Ok....yeah sorry" while she constantly has a crusty look on her face and clearly just wants me to go. I never raised my voice and did not block any other customer from paying so not sure why she was so disgusted with my request but as I left the older woman asked the girl what was happening and she just shrugged and I left. Guess false advertising is ok at Abo's. Please see screen shot below so again I am not crazy and this is currently still up online. Love this place! The pizza is always incredible. Delivery is very fast with very nice people. When we go in to pick up, everyone there is always friendly. If you don't want a whole pizza, it's nice to be able to order pizza by the slice. While we have never gone in to sit down to eat, every time we are there, it's a quiet and comfortable place to be if you want to have a nice meal and good conversation where you can hear each other. read more

This pizza is hit or miss. My wife ordered a pizza and salads for pick up and the toppings were sparse and not on every piece of pizza. Even worse, I went to pick up the pizza not knowing we got salads and the guy forgot to give me the salads. The two redeeming qualities of this pizza are the bottom crust and the jalapeños are actually hot. The rest of the experience from ordering to quality of the pie, I give a 3 stars because there are more pizza joints in the area that can easily score a 3 or 4 over this place. read more

I have been coming to this location for over a decade. I brought my kids here at least once a week. Now I bring my my grandkids here as well. The food is and always has been great. The staff has always been good to me my kids and now my grandchildre. They all know me by name and even my voice over the phone. Most would think that is because I have been coming here for so long but even new staff members know my name. To my knowledge they try to learn everyone's names. The atmosphere is always uplifting and very family oriented. There is arcade games and even a hu chalkboard to draw on freely. I do not only come here for the great New York style pizza but also because of the staff and atmosphere here. I live 40 miles away but come here at twice a week if not more bec it's the best. read more

Good stuff. Not really any more expensive than what I'm used to for this type of pizza, about $3 per slice with pepperoni. Both visits have been outside of the lunch rush hours, so there's been no wait. Staff has been friendly on both visits. For those who look for it like I do, this is the true, thin crust, New York style, "fold-in-half-and-let-the-pepperoni-grease-drip-down-your-arm" kinda pie. Definitely recommend. read more

I really enjoyed my pizza. It was cooked perfectly. The crust was the perfect thin thickness. The crust held the toppings and was not soggy. I had the right amount of sauce and the right amount of cheese. The Caesar salad was great loved the dressing however the description on yelp said it came with tomato and it did not. Just something to note if you want that tomato make sure you say something. It also had a great amount of cheese in it. I hate when my salad come with just a few sprinkles of cheese. I will say not my favorite but decent. I'm from Brooklyn and grew up on a diet of a couple slices on a daily. The pizza here lacks flavor. It's sorta like wishing to drive a Porsche but settle for a Fiero. It looks good but can't make the cut. If you'd like really good N.Y. pizza you should try Brooklyns Finest off of lowell and 50th. The woman in the phone was rude and said they were backed up and that our pizza was next to go into the oven. They hadn't even made the pizza over an hour after we had called and ordered. My family and I liked it here they sell the pizza by the slice which is nice I would rather not finish a whole pizza by myself because I totally can, however NOTE they are big slices which is good you get what you pay for. we will be back to visit only 4 stars for cleanliness it was dead inside, however almost all the tables had food particals on them we did go after lunch so maybe they had a lunch rush! read more

It tasted like burnt plastic so I look under the pizza and there were burnt black chunks under the crust baked into it. Disgusting!!!
