I have eaten at rosati's and had some delicious pizza,the service was great and it is always a treat to get a pizza from them. I just learned a very simple lesson when picking up a pizza always check to make sure its what you ordered. As delicious as it was for a cheese pizza the "I think i spot a piece of vegetable" made it fall short of my favorite veggie pizza. which was ordered and delivered by a dear friend. I did call the manager and spoke with Jeff who was nice and apologized. saying it might have been a mixed up order. I will still say Rosati's makes a delicious pizza. read more

Please note I have high hopes for the pizza I have not yet received! The rest of my experience so far is BAD! Bad phone manners- staff is dressed dirty- late food! So I just got a pizza update 2 more minutes ! If it is ready then it will only be 14 minutes late. The original time frame was 30 minutes. I had used the local Rosati's frequently when I lived in Yorkville Illinois, and LOVED their pizza. I got to know the owner real well. I became rather excited when I Found out one was opening in Prescott, AZ. The night before last I brought home two of their pizzas. The lived up to my expectations and then some. It was fantastic! The even know how make a "par-cooked" (partially cooked) pizza that can be finished off at home. It is important to me since I live in the mountains 15 miles away and I like my pizza hot. I live in Prescott. Dont waste your money here. The food is just okay and the older bleached blond waitress is horrible. If you are reading this and want awesome pizza and exceptional wings then go to liquor deli. If you want great classic wings and decent pizza go to Prescott brewing company. Oh Yum! Just had the best deep dish pizza ever. The sauce was perfect, it had the freshest tasting ingredients I've ever had on any pizza and the crust was perfect. I am from Chicago, and drive from Prescott Valley to pick up this pizza. Ordered pizza on Friday night for pick up. My husband brought home the pizza, and it was not what we ordered. After paying over 25.00 for pizza, it was also so soggy (as they put extra cheese, instead of Italian sausage on the pizza). I called and Katherine ( one of the owners) offered me 11 percent off my next pizza. I told her the coupons on the pizza box is for 11 percent off, so she said okay, 15 percent off. Big deal!!! We've been there a couple of times now. First time we got a "real" Chicago style pizza; thin crust, not the deep dish that the tourists get. It was just what I remember getting growing up in Chicago and the burbs! Sausage and sauce were great. Next time, I ordered the Italian beef sandwich, but was disappointed. Roll needed to be a bit crisper and the juice wasn't seasoned enough. If I want one in the future, I'll wait until I get to the Phoenix area and go to Portillos. read more

I came from Chicago and worked at restaurant that was well known for their thin crust pizza. I have ordered pizza to go from this Rosati's in Prescott) four times. The pizza wait times threw me as I know for a fact that a thin crust pizza takes no more that 20 min. Yet every time I order it takes 35-40 min (for "to go" thin crust)! Why? They also don't seem to understand my order and 3 out of four times they had to remake it while we waited. I will say that the pizza was exceptional and true to Rosati's style. The first time I got the wrong pizza I sent the owner an email thru the website, he never responded. The second time and third time they had to remake our pizza while we waited they gave us one pizza for free... but with drive time and their mistakes it takes an hour and a half to get pizza! Tonight and the last three times I have ordered the phone girl could not get the order correct. Not sure what will happen tonight but I'm sure it will be interesting! Will keep you all posted. So far I could drive to Phoenix and get it faster and more accurately from the same franchise! read more

I ordered a deep dish pizza . The marinara sauce and fresh basil was amazing. Plenty of cheese also. However, the crust was horrid. It looked beautiful on the outside but tasted like cardboard. This is where I would normally write a review letting everyone know the quality of the food where we ate. The problem is we never had the chance to try their food. My wife grew up in Chicago so we were excited to give Rosati's a try, of course being a new restaurant and a Friday night we were told we would probably have a minimum of a 30 minute wait. We said that would be fine, we were really looking forward to trying their restaurant. So we waited, we watched as people left and people were sat until we finally got to next on the list. It took 45 minutes but we completely understood, then the owner sat a group in front of us. There was another group standing there who quickly said they were here before that group and that we were here before them. I went over to the front counter with the hostess, looked at the list and said we were next, what happened? She told us she wasn't sure and brought us over a coupon for a free small pizza. Then the owner came back over, she was only a couple feet from us and the hostess asked her how come those people were sat in front of us. The owner answered without hesitation, "there are only 2 of them, there is no way I am seating 2 people in front of 6, I don't care how long they have been waiting". Their booths are large so seating 6 works but most of the booths had only 2 people in them when we got there and in fact the booth had only 2 people in it before that group was sat in front of us. I do understand that this is a very small establishment and would have completely understood if the owner came to us and asked if we could wait just a bit longer for a different table, but to completely dismiss us was just plain rude. Being a business owner myself I think customer service and respect is the most important part of a service based business, especially a new one and I can say with no doubt, they have lost our business. We will not even try this restaurant, which is actually very unfortunate because we truly were looking forward to it. If it was an employee who made the decision and remark I would probably give them a second chance but because it was the actual owner that treated us this way, I feel completely different. I wish them the best of luck with at least 2 less customers than they would have had. read more

I have not tried the full menu yet, so that accounts for the four-banger, but I went for an Italian beef sandwich and a combo beef/Italian sausage sandwich. I am a former Chicagoan, and very particular about Chicago-style food served anywhere else besides Chicago. I've been to more than one Rosati's in the northwest suburban area of Illinois. On this visit these two sandwiches were the real deal. Perfect chewy-but-soft texture on the roll, the beef was really good and the right amount (and it's hard to get that kind of beef here, believe me I know). The sweet (green) peepers were period-correct (!) and not tough and the gravy (au jus) was awesome. The sausage was very tasty and cooked right. I was really pleased; I thought about home. I will be trying the pizza next and will report further. BTW I admit as a native Chicagoan I constantly look out for restaurants trying to make it doing the Chicago style, and sadly many don't last. I really hope everybody gives Rosati's Prescott a try, it's hard to make a restaurant work without feedback! Since this is Northern AZ I can only expect somebody to try as hard as they can to make it work, and I think Rosati's Prescott has made a fine start. (As a proper coda, please don't think I am a shill. I am so far to the opposite it would astound. I rarely contribute to these sites but because I crave Chicago-style food I am happy to weigh in here.) read more

I'm only reviewing on the wait time and restaurant itself since we didn't eat. The waiting area is very small; only enough room for three people to sit. Others need to jockey around for space as people come and go from the door, and the wait staff maneuvers from one area to the other (the tables are along the wall in an L shape). I feel this is a poor design and in such a small space for an apparent popular chain. We expected a wait since it was Friday late afternoon but after 25 minutes (and seeing that the pan pizza would take another 40 minutes to cook) we decided to leave and come back another day to actually try the food. Prior to going in, I didn't realize the price quoted for the pizza was just cheese. Each topping is an additional cost. The price would be rather steep by the end and with other excellent pizza shops in the area this may be a problem for Rosati's. The restaurant was obviously new and clean. The person that took our name was very friendly. Hope to try their food next time and read more
