First time, and it was SO GOOD! Located in downtown Ridgefield, next to the church/bar. I got the chicken shawarma plate and a side of falafel. I am so happy I gave them a try. The food is plated amazing and the flavors are spot on. They have tahini, hummus, tzatziki and a couple other dips. The chicken was delicious and the falafel was too. 100% highly recommend. Will definitely be back. If I could eat here everyday, I would! Friendly staff as well. There are other food trucks, but this one is separate and by itself around the corner. Excited to see a new food truck in Ridgefield and this one is a winner! My boyfriend and I decided to try it out after hearing good things and we were definitely not disappointed. We got the kebab wrap, a side of two pitas, and a side tzatziki sauce. The kebab wrap was amazing! The meat is so flavorful with a little spice and the veggies were fresh and crisp. The meat to veg ratio was perfect. Plus, it was huge!! You get a lot of food. The tzatziki sauce was also very good, tasted fresh and light. We ate it with our pita bread and it was tasty. Also not to mention, the service was great. Who I assume was possibly the owner, he was very kind and friendly. Overall super awesome addition to downtown Ridgefield. I took some menu photos but we were too excited to try it we forgot to take food photos. Next time for sure, as we will definitely be returning. New food truck in downtown Ridgefield! I heard about this place yesterday and had to get my butt down here to try it out! Downtown Ridgefield has several food trucks and all of them are fantastic so I had very high hopes for this new addition and it did NOT disappoint! I got a rice bowl with lamb. The lamb is a blended ground meat similar to gyro but chunks and not sliced. Was super flavorful and moist! Hummus and Tzatziki sauces were great. Serving size was generous! Enough to share if your not starving (we weren't so we shared). Friendly service, they were busy for just opening which was a good sign! We wandered and checked out tha seating areas while we waiting and it was quick for our pager to go off and we picked up our food! We just tried Shawarma Refuge for the first time. The location is right near the Overlook Park in downtown Ridgefield. The food was delicious! The meat was tender, juicy and fell apart easily. The hummus and sauces were expertly prepared. We appreciated the service as the owner came out to check on how everything was as we had mentioned it was our first time eating there. Shawarma Refuge in Ridgefield seriously deserves the shoutout. I stopped by their food truck on 113 S Main Ave and was blown away -- not just by the food, but the whole experience. We tried both the beef and chicken shawarma and wow -- the meat was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and clearly high quality. The portions were huge, especially for the price. You can tell a lot of care goes into how they prepare everything. But what really surprised me was the baklava-- hands down the best I've ever had. Super fresh, packed with nuts, and just melts in your mouth. Not overly sweet, just perfect. Also want to mention Bassam the owner -- super friendly guy who really takes pride in what he does. He actually takes time to talk to customers and make sure everyone's happy. That kind of service is rare these days. We were excited to see this new food truck over at the Refuge and decided to try it for lunch. We were completely taken aback by the quality of the food and the large portions. We ordered the Falafel Wrap and the Arabic style lamb wrap. I wish I'd taken pictures as both entrees were impressive and definitely shareable portions. The Falafel was amazing - moist and perfectly seasoned. The lamb wrap had a slightly spicy sauce and was fantastic. The lamb wrap was four large pieces and included perfectly prepared french fries. My wife and I had finished working a two day event at the Clark County Event Center in Ridgefield WA and were more than ready for dinner. We found Shawarma Refuge. We both enjoy Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine. She got the Felafel plate; I got the Lamb plate; we shared the Babaganoush. We each got two meals out of what we were served and it well worth the price, and tasty. The actual place has outside picnic tables, and looks like a decorated food trailer. However, the Community Center/Shelter next door posted a sign on the restaurant's property that customers of Shawarma Refuge were welcome there. We went, and we were. Very good food, excellent value and service. The gentlemen who waited on us (Sorry, we did not exchange names.) stated he was aware we knew something about the cuisine after I pronounced Babaganoush more or less correctly, without aid.
