Visited 7/23/26 - Pastor Pizza (S) 14 Get this over the birria pizza! I have been here maybe 5x and this was the best specialty one they have to offer. The pineapple/pastor combo was delicious and creative! The green drizzle was a great touch with a radish to cut the heaviness! - Birria Pizza (S) 14 Lack luster. The consume was not flavorful at all and very viscous, overall diluted. The meat texture was great, my boyfriend thought it was dry. Loved the orange drizzle but apart from that I would skip this. - Boneless Chicken Wings (L) 15 Literally essential. You can choose a buffalo, ranch, hot honey, mandarin habenaro, and bbq! I always do buffalo and ranch, their buffalo is so good its sweet and tangy. Chicken is fried to perfection with the best crust. - Special Slice of the Day, Thursday 4.20 Love the kick flip, would not want to get a whole pizza so I try to come on Thursdays! I love the ricotta piped on which makes it creamy and makes the grease worth it! Definitely consider patting it off (worth the sin). For two people, I would do two daily slices and an appetizer! Or you could do one daily slice, an appetizer, and a small pizza only if you want left overs. Order at the front then sit down, there's self order if you prefer. The vibes are nice lots of art work and a decent parking lot, consider bringing a water bottle.
$20 for a large pizza and the pizza is very very thin. I do not recommend this place for that price. I appreciate the reply from the owner stating it's New York Style pizza. Well, I have been to New York and visited many pizza restaurants there and they have the best pizza . Rose City is nothing like New York or even close to them.
I bought this pizza for my pizza-loving friend as part of her bday gift. She's more of the pizza expert than I am, and she seemed to love this pizza! I ate a slice and thought it was good, maybe I was expecting more due to the hype around this place. To me it seemed like an average pepperoni pizza. The crust was too hard for my liking but the added dollops or ricotta were a great bonus. I'm interested in returning and trying a different pizza, there are so many interesting options!
I have eaten here multiple times now and they never fail me. The Rosie's Ranch is absolutely a must have with your meal. I've tried multiple pizzas: elote, al pastor, Birria, and deluxe. Each one is amazing in its own way. Whether you order for pickup or to eat inside, the staff are so nice and the vibe of the place is great. I will definitely keep coming back for more.
This place has a cool 90s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme. They even have games you could play! The location is pretty small, but there is some seating/tables. I had the elote pizza. I love street corn and pizza so this was the best of both worlds. It was super delicious! My mom and I shared a size small. The people that work there were also very friendly and helpful

This is a solid place to go to if you want some creative pizzas, different from the ones at your chain pizza restaurants. I really like the customizability and the fact that you can create your own pizzas here. A small 10" pizza is quite small and I could eat it all on my own in one sitting. I would recommend a large size pizza per 2 people. In addition to custom pizzas, there is a menu of signature pizzas. My partner and I shared the al pastor pizza, which contains slow roasted pork, mozzarella cheese, pineapple, onions, radish, sala verde, and cilantro. It was pretty good, although not breathtaking. My dog loves the pupperoni pizza pie. It is made using a whole wheat, yeast-free crust and topped with roasted carrot purée, grilled chicken breast, and parsley. Presentation of the pizzas is excellent. For dining in, the pizza is served on a tray, while for takeout, the pizza is served in a box. They give free seasoning packets as well, which is a nice gesture.
Came by because I was craving for mozzarella cheese stick. This place has a small parking lot available outside of the store. There is also a skat park next to it. I like the ninja turtle theme in this place. There are a lot of art work, magazine, and a game console available inside the store. Server was friendly. We ordered the medium Hawaiian pizza and mozzarella cheesesteak. The signature mozzarella cheesesteak was huge, but sadly it tasted decent and nothing special. The Hawaiian pizza was also decent that has nothing stand out compare to other pizza places. I was a bit disappointed.

Mozzarella stick wasn't gooey, but the crust was crunchy! It came with marinara and each for dipping. The kickflip probably would have been better if it was freshly made. Next time I'll order a whole pizza. Didn't really taste the chili oil on there. The star was the Detroit style pizza. Al pastor was good, but I would have picked a more traditional topping. The crust was on point! That's what I loved...the crust! Guy at the front was very helpful and kept up with me as I asked so many questions. Not many tables inside. Came in to a cool pizza spot that was decorated themed with tmnt early 90's. We ordered a large pizza, wings, and some cheesy bread. Came with marinara, buffalo, and ranch sauces on the side. Ordered kick flip, but didn't really taste any heat on the pizza. Pizza had good flavor and a decent undercarriage, just a little too thin for my liking. Wings had a great crisp and tasted good and really liked the ranch they use. The cheesy bread was delicious. Hot, cheesy, soft crispy French bread, seasoned nicely. Staff and manager were friendly.
December 30th had all the markings of a very special day for my Family- My oldest son the Pastor's last day in town with us before flying back to WDC, where he's the Campus Minister at George Washington University. Moreover, his and my alma mater USC was playing in the Valero Alamo Bowl at 6pm, favored over TCU. To crown an eventful final day in town, I ordered up a trio of large pizzas from Rose City Pizza in Covina. I'd settled on RCP because of their strong reviews (4.4 stars on nearly 1,000). Rose City Pizza traces its origins to its original Rosemead location...then preserved the name when they relocated to a former floral shop in Covina. So, despite the disappointment of watching our beloved Trojans gag/flop and stumble themselves to an embarrassing 30-24 defeat, do RCP pies pass yhe test?! You bet they do!!! The crust is stellar- Thin, chewy, well charred but not overdone on the bottoms, making for a wondrous chewy, slightly sweet mouth feel. The runaway winner for "Best Tasting Pie" of our trio, voted on by all five of my Family members, was the BBQ Chicken, which we'd accord 5 stars. To quote my youngest, "I've yet to ever be disappointed by a BBQ Chicken pizza. Even the frozen CPK ones are quite decent." The Pick Six is good, a solid 4 stars. The pepperonis are the old world smaller discs. Meaning the edges curl when cooked. They've a peppery warm flavor- ideal! The concept of spraying the ricotta out in ornate little "accordions" of pleats and folds is, while visually stunning...produces a wet, gelatinous mouthfeel. We probably won't be reordering this one. The Elote wins the medal for "Most Anticipated Pie," as my wife is a native born Michoacana and she and our three kids have always relished street-vended Elotes smeared with mayo, parmesan and Taijin seasoning. The overall flavors are completely on point, a corn-dense, Taijin peppered taste balanced with cooling cilantro. But the overall paucity of corn coupled with the "wet" taste due to the heavy swirls of Taijin sauce makes this a 3 star pie. Only my bride called this one her favorite, the other four of us rated it third. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I placed my order online and when I arrived 18 mins later the trio of large pies were ready. My order was $69.14 incl tax for all three. All in all, RCP deserves its strong 4.4 star overall review score. But for us, on this particular trio of flavor pies we ordered, the bloom was a wee bit of the rose.

It's so weird, we tried to order take out through door dash or whatever delivery app we were in and it said that the pizza would be ready in 50 mins. So we didn't order it on the app, instead we called and spoke with the AI assistant. It told us it would be ready in 10 mins. LOL So, I guess maybe call in instead of ordering online especially if you're going to go pick it up! Also, make sure that they're charging you for the correct order cause apparently the girl in front of me was accidentally charged for our order and it took them a couple mins to figure out next steps. Otherwise, the pizza was delicious and the ambiance inside was nifty. There were comic books, a couple arcade game machines, and a skate park next store. First time trying Rose City Pizza and it definitely lived up to the hype! Al Pastor is my favorite meat for street tacos so of course I had to get the Al Pastor Pizza! Great flavors and a great balance of saltiness with the pork, acidity with the pineapple and crunch with the onions plus radishes. Hard to miss the place as it's right across from a skate park, but the parking lot is on the smaller side (had no issues around dinner time during the week). Highly recommend and will definitely be back! read more

If you order on a busy night (weekends) you'll probably have to wait like 10-15 mins longer than expected or told. The pizza may look a little underwhelming BUT it's delicious!! It's simple, great crust and under carriage, just delicious!!! It's satisfied my cravings of a different kind of pizza, reminds me on like a New York slice a little bit and boy do I miss a slice of pizza in New York City but this is also very delicious!! read more

I don't know why some people leaving negative reviews. This place is amazing! You have to order the whole pie, they make it fresh! If you're ordering by slices like NY style, of course it isn't going to be as fresh as whole pie. Individual slices are bomb too btw. read more
Had this spot in my recommendations for a long time and I finally got to try it with my partner since we were in the area. Parking lot is small as with most pizza shops. We decided to dine inside the pizza shop as they have a few tables around, but most people get their pizza to go instead. We tried their Al Pastor Pizza (Small) which took around 15 minutes to come out which is pretty fast considering they make the pizza from scratch. (Staff advised for 30 minutes) so plus points for having the pizza made fresh & fast. Portions are decent, one person can definitely finish one small pizza as it's sliced into 4s. Crust is perfect, not too hard nor soft, just the perfect crunch with crispy edges. Toppings don't fall off easily which is a huge plus for me. My partner and I were also visiting due to the fact that they have the "Pupperoni Pizza" a dog friendly pizza that I was most excited for my pet dog to try. However, upon ordering and paying, staff came out to us a bit later that we would have to wait for over two hours as they had to take it out of the freezer to defrost. Although a little disappointed, it was understanding and a refund was processed. For future reference, I would advise with the restaurant before ordering to prevent a situation like this. Next time, I would definitely try other menu items & perhaps even up size for my order. Love the uniqueness of this pizza shop with all the different types of toppings. read more

visited rose city pizza for the first time since 2021! their old location was in rosemead. we wanted to get a large pizza: half elote and half birria but unfortunately they don't do that anymore. we had it back in 2021 and thought it was amazing. because we were just eating a small lunch, we ended up getting two small pizzas: one elote and one birria without consumme as it's extra cost. loved both pizzas but def think the birria pizza would taste better with the consumme. maybe next time! we'd def love to try other options the next time we are in town as we were just visiting! elote pizza was delicious ! love the sauce on it! staff was super helpful on their recommendations! thank you for spending the time to chat with us on the menu! read more

While I miss the Rosemead location, this Rose City Pizza location offers the same tasty pizzas and a fun atmosphere. Seating and parking are both very limited, so be prepared to take your pizza to go. There is also a skate park across the parking lot, so it can get very busy! The pizza is generously sized and very tasty. We'll definitely be back! read more

This location is located at a street corner with decent amount of parking. It's near a skate park with is really cool. The interior has fun decor of the Ninja Turtles and some arcades. It's definitely a good place to hangout with friends. The staff are nice and friendly. I've been to the Rosemead location before it got closed down. I was sad about it. This Covina location is just as good! I got the Detroit style pizza and it was freshly hot. I like the crispy edges. The cheese was gooey and the pepperoni is crispy. It was filling enough that I only had half but could probably have more. I'd definitely would return to try more! read more
I tried this place out using my SGV Food Passport. It was for a Detroit pizza. Going in, I didn't know what that entailed. I thought it was certain toppings, but it was the style of the crust. So, if you like overly thick, deep dish crusted pizza, then you would enjoy it. I personally thought it was too doughy and had too much sauce which made the pizza on the soggier side. But, I'll return and try their hand tossed pan pizzas next time instead. The guys working there were friendly. There wasn't anybody else inside dining or ordering take out. The place gives off an old Pizzaria feel. There's plenty of parking in their lot, but also street parking available. read more

I love Rose City. It's like a throwback joint in an area where you wouldn't think to find this type of pizza place. It literally gives city vibes with the decor and even the machines inside. The food is fantastic, and I've enjoyed every type of pizza I've ordered from here. But I'd say my favorite item here is definitely the cookies. They're so good. Highly recommend this place. read more

I waited 50 mins for a cheese pizza with barely any cheese.. 85% of the bottom half was dry as well. So disappointing. I wanna recommend that there should be at least two signs: one for a line for those that need to order and pay and then another line for pick up and paid orders because it was an absolute mess in there with honestly not even a line. I placed an order for 3 pizzas on Super Bowl Sunday at early afternoon and it said they would be ready in about 40 mins and when I went to pick up my order was actually ready! I was honestly ready to wait thinking they'd be backed up but they were cranking them out! I'm ashamed to admit, I am a longtime Covina resident and this was my first time visiting this location. I've been to their OG location in Rosemead. But I was very impressed considering it was a busy weekend! I order the small kickflip and regular pepperoni and the Detroit style pizza. My go to order is the elote pizza. This is my first time ordering from this (now-only) location. I like their big NY style pizza and the topping is not too crazy. The hubby likes it, creamy. I feel like it used to have more corn, so this one feels very doughy. This Covina location is not in my general go-to area so I never went since the Rosemead location closed, but I really wanted the puppy pizza. The doggo likes it! I don't feed the whole thing at once, of course. Out of the freezer, thawed, he likes it just fine. Recommend to call ahead to check if they have the pupperoni pizza ready. Last time I tried to order on a weekday, they informed me it would be 2 hour wait, so we didn't end up getting it. I went her on a whim because I was in the area and I was not disappointed! I got the tavern elote pizza and it was sooo yummy. I loved how thin the crust was and it was flavorful for being so thin. The establishment had two arcade games which were street fighter. They had cool paintings and had ninja turtle decorations all over. I also got the giant mozzarella stick which had amazing cheese pull. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was because they had ran out of their slice of the day. Everyday they do a different slice pizza and when I got there at 4PM they had already ran out which wasn't cool to me. Also, the person taking my order was very kind and the food came out at a reasonable time. Overall, I would come back again and try a different pizza. read more

Hello! Dogs are allowed on the patio. You can come in with your dog to order and wait at the patio area for your order
Do you sell pizza by the slice?
Yes they do, they have daily selections available at the counter which include some of their classics. The specialty pizza's are not made by the slice as they like to keep it fresh
