Amazing service, amazing food! It was our first time and everyone was so friendly, the restaurant itself was so clean and the other customers seemed to be having the best time! It's not too crowded, you can order what you want fast and get it nice and hot!

Overall 3.5. The broasted chicken with potato salad and macaroni salad. Liked the rolls. The lasagna and garlic bread were better. Great service. Food came old piping hot

Old Deli brings you back to time where "the good old days" was. There's many variety of single packet goodies, as well as wine and pre package snacks, cheese and ice cream You can also order from the deli, such as cured meats , as well as Italian favorites, such as anti pasta ,soups, olives. There's also Hot items to order , pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, and chicken . Staff is very friendly. If there's a sports event, there multiple TVs to view as well as tables and booths to watch. Great place to purchase items and just to enjoy some time.

I've dined here on several occasions and it never disappoints. I wasn't feeling well and I knew their chicken and rice soup would help with that. I ordered the bowl of chicken and rice soup with a small pepperoni pizza for my son. The soup was great, I love all the veggies they include. My son loved his pizza. Please be patient, the pizza is made to order and can take up to 20 minutes and well worth it.

Been here a few times and the chicken is so delicious! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We tried the roasted chicken, potato wedges, potato salad and lasagna and everything was really good.

Ordering was quick and at the counter and they were very helpful with helping us sub for spicy sausage when we asked. They give you a number and you find a table and they bring it to you when it's ready. Hot and fresh and soooo delicious !! I typically don't like hot sandwiches cuz they're super messy but the Italian sausage was so good !! I love that this place is so cozy and looks like a small family owned place with lots of history.

I ordered the 8PC Family Special ($32.25 - eight pieces of broasted chicken, potato wedges, four bread rolls, and 1 pint of substituted Baked Beans). To my utter delight, Old World Deli (Covina) cooked it perfectly! The chicken is not oily; rather, it's thick and juicy. The meal was absolutely delicious! [Important Note: If planning to order the Broasted Chicken, always call ahead. There's always a wait. Staff usually claim 25 minute waits, but I commonly find myself waiting about 35 minutes.] In the past, I had criticized Old World Deli (Covina) for usually overcooking their chicken's skin. Its chicken meat was always moist and juicy, but I never liked how prior chefs would ruin its skin, leaving it hard. However, I am extremely happy with Old World Deli's current cooks. I am so thankful that I gave Old World Deli (Covina) another chance. I eagerly ripped into its lightly crisp, juicy chicken. I chomped into those fresh, clean-tasting potato wedges. And I appreciated the bread roll's warmth and fluffiness. Old World Deli (Covina) brought myself and my family a lovely, affordable meal. Old World Deli (Covina) is always bustling with customers. The location is tucked away and somewhat hidden, yet it's always popular. I arrived on a Wednesday (around 6:20PM), and I was immediately taken aback at how clean and shiny it all looked. Service continues to be a highlight at Old World Deli (Covina). Staff is always friendly, helpful, and hardworking. I felt immediately welcomed. Overall, Old World Deli (Covina) is a popular Covina local hotspot for good reason. Currently, the food has improved dramatically, and I am enthusiastic to return. If you love chicken, it's a must. 5 out of 5

    Where's the beef!!! for 15.99?

I usually go to Capri Deli or Claro's for a great sandwich at an affordable price. I took the chance when my buddy asked to get lunch. The Yelp review photos looked great so in we went. I figured it claims to have been established in 1970 it has to be right? The place had only a few customers at 11 a.m. on a Wednesday but it still seemed to take a bit long to get our order. My buddy wanted the roast beef and a pastrami for his wife to go. I ordered the broasted chicken that came with buns, potatoe wedges and a side salad of choice. The roast beef arrived and just hurt your eyes, looking for the beef! It was so light on roast beef it reminded me of the 1980s Arby's commercial where the lil old lady proclaims, "Where's the beef"? At over 15 bucks It was a real let down. TJ' subs on Arrow Highway will make you say uncle at half the sandwich and a 3rd less cost. Moving on. My chicken was great, the wedges were a tad overcooked but at the price I think my next pressure fryer cooked chicken will come from Stater Bros or Albertsons.

We were shopping next door to the deli and decided to stop for lunch after seeing all the Yelp reviews. The food did not disappoint! We ordered the pastrami sandwich, cup of soup, fries to share and also a ginger cookie. The sandwich was delicious with the homemade bread and it was not salty. If you love soft baked ginger cookies, the ginger cookie is not to be missed! We will definitely come back again to try more items on the menu.

Used to frequent this place when it was part of Eastland mall. It was very small but everything was absolutely wonderful. They have since moved to Shoppers Lane. Now, the store is beautiful and everything looks good but the chicken meal we got tonight - $21 - was dry and the pieces of chicken were very small. To add insult to injury, they gave me two wings!! The rolls had a nice center but the crust was tough. I would say the best part of it was the potatoes. I also purchased some Valentine cookies which I now regret. They taste old. I will continue to purchase cookies at Claros instead. I will go back to see if their sandwiches still rock my world. I not, well ‍. Just won't go back.

The place is located on a strip of other businesses, so parking is small and can be challenging since store front parking is limited. I came during lunch time and is was a little busy. The inside is very old fashioned looking in the vets way possible. They had a deli style counter for desserts and meat selections as well as a deli counter for dine in. The lady behind the counter was welcoming but looked irritated because I was so indecisive. I was need up ordering the meatball with pepperoncinis and red onion and a pumpkin bar and apple tart. The sandwich was superb! The bread was crispy and the ceases melted to perfection. The desserts were good nothing over the top but I did see their cannolis and I will definitely be giving those a try next time.

The same lady was at the counter…read morebut this time she asked if I was ordering and took the order right away as no one else was waiting to order. I grabbed a drink from the fridge and went to pay. Also she asked what kind of salsa I wanted, green of course. The gentleman behind the counter had this smile on his face so I smiled back. This place has good food tacos are good. The marinated chicken is also very good at the meat counter.

Larios Market was recommended to me by a wonderful fellow Yelper. You know who you are. Thank you!…read more I wanted to get guacamole, salsa, and chips for a team potluck lunch. I got rave reviews on these items that they are super good at Larios so here I am to confirm. This market is located at the corner of Barranca Ave and Arrow Highway in Covina. It's actually a meat market, but they sell produce and other food/dry items plus hot foods. It's a very small place with maybe 3-4 tight aisles. I went straight to the refrigeration area. I saw lots of different salsas and a handful of guacamole. At first glance, the appearance of the guac did not look appealing to me. It looked brown and kind of watery at the top. I was hesitant to get them, but since they were recommended, I got 3 of them. Now looking back, I should have only gotten one just to try them. It was not that great IMHO. Maybe they were not made that day and have been hanging around for a day or so. However, the roasted red salsa was really really good... I would highly recommend this one. Pico de gallo was decent. Crab ceviche was just okay... too much of the V8 taste. I ended up buying 6 containers and spent over $50 on guac and salsa. Probably more than I need. I didn't bother with the chips as they look more on the oily side. Anyway, staff was nice and helpful. Check out was fast as it wasn't super busy at the time. Parking is limited. They do have a few tables and stools outside in front of the market for those who want to eat here after their food purchase. I'm not sure if I would come back for the guac, but I may come back for the roasted red salsa and possibly their tacos and burritos.
