My 4-year-old box mod decided to commit hara-kiri last week, and I needed a replacement, stat. (It started firing on its own at random. ) RCV is only 1-1/2 blocks away from me, so it was the obvious place to start. A great choice! I showed my old vape to Marcus, and told him I wanted something similar that my atomizer could fit. Also that though I'd been vaping a mod that long, it had been the first I'd ever gotten, so I might have some sort of beginner questions. Like if the atomizer would fit. LOL. Marcus picked out two possibles, and after a few questions, he fitted me up with a Geekvape L200. It was the more expensive (not by a huge amount), but he assured me it was the most durable of the two. That was a major factor for me, so I grabbed it. I'm really loving it after only two days. About the same weight as my old one, but a little more compact - fits my hands better. Fires nicely, good taste with the HW-M coils I have - I think a better taste, actually, than in the old - a nice readable screen, easy to get started with it. Great on the child lock and battery cover. Changing batteries is easier, and I like the 2-battery format. Plus uses easily-found 18650s, instead of a 21700 battery. The charges last much longer than in my old mod. Don't get me wrong, I loved it too, but the L2000 is a good step up. Well padded, sleek-looking, and built like a tank. This is the best vape shop in Portland. I live in Seattle and am a victim of the "vape epidemic" which kills 8,000 Washingtonians per year. Oh wait, that's cigarettes. Anyway, it's illegal now and I now need to buy my sin juice while in Portland. I parked right in front and walked in. I was greeted by an aesthetically pleasing gentle-woman that didn't mind me venting about Jay Inslee. She helped me pick a flavor and proceeded to concoct it from scratch with my preferred nicotine level. I said farewell with my giant bottle of delicious lung disease and ventured north. A few weeks later, I finally ran out of my previous bottle of devil's juice and popped the new one open. I turned the bottle over and gave it an aggressive man squeeze into my tank. To my horror, the top popped off and I was covered in juice. I could barely see through my man-tears while cleaning up the Jonestown murder-juice that spilled all over the floor. I went back into my office to think about my life choices, while my wife gave the shop a call, probably out of fear of my mood swings. To my surprise, Marcus was receptive and understanding of my plight, offering to replace the entire bottle even though I had only spilled just over half. A few days later, I was in possession of a brand new bottle of contraband, and Marcus even followed up to ensure I received it. I will be forever in debt to Rose City Vapors. I wholeheartedly recommend them to other likeminded sociopaths partaking in amoral transgressions. read more

We stopped in there to check out there juice line. Im always in the hunt for a better ejuice flavor. Found out they dont carry any juice lines. They custom mix there own flavors. We ended up getting a few flavors my gf wanted. He mixed them up for her right there on the spot. I think i will be back to have him try and mix me up a few custom flavors. They had some pretty good set ups to get u started on vaping plus nice rda & rba clones for u more experienced vapors out there. I really think this could be the next level of vaping out there. Going to special vape shops to custom make yoir juices. Just hope they dont start calling themselves "boutique" and start charging more lol. I started going here due to a favorable Yelp review. I had been trying places nearby and they weren't consistent with product availability. One time they would have something, the next time not. Often I would have to give up. At RCV there's the usual selection of vape juice but you can also get flavors mixed to order. I learned at another vape store that there's a special license you need to do this. So the odd of falling in love with a flavor, then never finding it again are small. Mixed to order is also good for getting the nicotine level you want, anywhere from zero to 24mg, same as a regular cigarette. People who switch to vaping to help themselves quit smoking sometimes jump right into 0mg or low nicotine, then complain vaping is ineffective to help them quit. It's a better strategy to start with the same amount of nicotine in your vape juice as your cigarette, then step down gradually. Having the vape juice mixed to order makes this easy. Prices are reasonable, so you can afford to buy small trial sizes to check out something different. Since vaping is now being treated as smoking (wth Portland? There's no secondhand smoke, or even any smoke to bother anyone. Is this some sort of Puritan ethic, secondhand punishment of former smokers?), there's no more sampling in the store. Those small bottles are a great idea. There's also a star program where purchases accumulate stars, which lead to a sharp discount in the price of vape juice. Btw, who would be "endangered" by vaping or sampling in a vape store? No minors are allowed, so that's not the excuse. No one is in the store who doesn't vape, so who is the city of Portland protecting from themselves and their (adult) actions? There's a good selection of vapes, as well as the necessary coils. I've been to stores where they sold me the wrong coils even though I showed them my vape. Or they no longer carried coils for my vape but they could sell me a newer vape for which they carried coils. Upselling? I did buy a newer one in RCV, because I trusted Marcus' recommendation. It works fine. I've since moved out of Portland but make the trip back in to buy my supplies at Rose City Vapors. read more

Was visiting Portland and had some extra time. I had a million questions about vaping, and had been reluctant to go into a shop, and made to feel stupid for some time. Marcus (the owner/operator) answered every question with knowledge, and made me feel very comfortable. He didn't push anything unneeded, and explained everything perfectly. I wasn't rushed or pressured, and feel I got exactly what I needed (as well as advice, and instructions on everything I bought). This used to be my local vape shop. I moved a city over and still come here for all my vape needs. It's that good of a shop!! Tons of flavors, mods and customer service. I'm all about locally owned and this is the real deal. He owns and runs it and that's the quality of care I'm looking for in a vape shop. Got my mod stollen and he hooked it up with a new reasonably priced set up that he suggested would work with my lifestyle and amount of usage. I was in Portland visiting for the weekend, I've been wanting to switch from my pen to a mod but honestly had no clue what I wanted. After researching different vape stores for days, I finally decided to give Rose City Vapors a try, and I am really glad I did. Marcus was extremely helpful, helped me pick out an awesome mod, walked me through everything I needed to do to get everything set up, and even set the coils and everything up for me before I left. He never tried to upsell me, which I loved. It was just all around an awesome awesome AWESOME experience. Another reason I especially loved this shop is that the liquids are custom blended. Personally I prefer the custom blended liquids to the commercially blended ones, I think the flavors are just better that way, thats just my opinion though. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the Portland area, if you live there or are just passing through, you should definitely stop in and give them a try.
