New ownership. Yes, the store is cleaner but the prices are jacked!!! Also, went in for a tall cider, and the one behind fell to floor and cracked. I picked it up straight away and placed it on the soda drain. Dude got totally bent out of shape and told me to be more careful, etc., acted like it was my fault and I should pay for the can. I decided not to purchase anything and left and will not be back. I liked the old crew there way better. These folks are looking to rip off the community. read more

Nice new crew and very ambitious to make the shop a bit more varied, i e a coffee bar/table for early AM customers (sorely lacking in the neighborhood for years), and somehow even better prices for my fave beer (8.09 vs 8.59) now that their OLCC license has cleared. (Still no EBT as of 2.21.25 due to a previous mgmt glitch, but that should be OK soon...) Worth checking out and supporting as long as they can keep their prices reasonablly low. read more

Very helpful, as I had more than a few questions & thoughts pertaining 2 purchase of new bong. I'm not in market 4 a $400+ "art glass" bong, my box of broken remnants will attest 2 that. Also, being that I have a disability that limits use of left hand, I had reservations about size, weight, & "ergonomic feel" of a new apparatus. Staff was very patient, as well as brainstorming with me 2 offer ideas, after listening 2 my myriad issues. I ended up going with a more lightweight silicon bong that has added "splat" function, which allows 4 base 2 suction on2 flat (preferably glass) surface, thereby bypassing the necessity of left hand usage. Very highly recommend the shop. P.S. if U R in market 4 "dab nails, pins", or a glass pipe, they carry the most swagalicious glass accessories that I have seen. Maybe it's just me, but I'm a sucka 4 the drip, so pour it on. read more

Decent prices. Beer selection is 80% IPA. They need some gluten free options that aren't cider. Beer coolers seem warm. Main dude working is genuinely friendly. Newer guy working has said inappropriate things to me twice. Woman working is pretty rude, not responding to ANYTHING you say, Hi, Thanks, etc : just rings you up without eye contact or any words. I don't normally take my time to write a review unless the service was above and beyond what I ever expected. I happened to come across this place when I was looking for a gift to buy my husband. I was looking for something to help him slow down on smoking cigs, but something he would enjoy too. I've been to plenty of other shops and stores around the Portland metro area, but nothing has helped or been good enough. It's not until I came here and spoke with the owner, who took the time to ask me questions and really get to know my spouses' smoking habits before suggesting what he thought would be best. Needless to say, about 2 months later..his advice worked!! Instead of being pushy on his sales. He was upfront and honest and told me to come back if it didn't work. Now, I go back to buy other stuff like micro brews (the best) and gifts for friends. I believe the quality of his inventory is one of the best in the nw!! I've referred a few friends and now, they continue drive all the way from Hillsboro whenever they need anything.
