Absolutely call!! Pawel was fantastic. He was quick, honest and forthcoming. He does great work, clean and professional. I had a bowing veneer wall I wanted redone. Pawel came out and priced it our worst case scenario (as requested) to include the veneer and retaining wall. Once we started and saw the retaining wall was intact, he adjusted the price down accordingly. He communicated with me the entire way, giving his opinion and how it would look if we do it this way or that. TL:DR - Hire this crew for any of your chicago brick needs. I live in a remodeled bungolow with a relocated front door to the the front facade of our house. the new door has a concrete staircase leading to it with a brink retainer wall added in 2012. The wall was failing separating and leaning it has gotten worse and worse over the years. This year the lean got much worse listing to 15 degrees. It had to come out... I got a quote to rebuild the wall from J&P and scheduled the work. The work included a new design of the retainer wall that followed the pattern of the stairs. We preferred a cleaner look than what was done in 2012. They took my rudimentary drawing and 2 days later - PERFECTION The workmanship is flawless. To say I'm happy with the results of the restoration performed on my exterior walls would be an understatement! I had pealing paint on my brick exterior walls, water was getting trapped in between destroying my bricks. I had several different companies come out to quote the job and most of them turned down the job because they said they were not able to fully remove the paint from the walls. I was offered less expensive options by other companies but I knew they were "ban-aid" fixes. Pawel came out and offered the solution needed. These guys do great work. I had a cracked sidewalk inside my backyard area. Over the years it got really bad with the crack getting wider. I finally decided it needed fixed. I got quotes from various companies that wanted to used glue, or some kind of skim coat, but J&P said they would remove it and repour it in place. The work took only a day, but he came back several times over the weekend to keep it damp so it would cure better. Looks better than the rest of the sidewalk now! J&P Masonry rebuilt my 1910 house's brick parapet wall as part of my roof tear-off project and did a wonderfully detailed job! Paul was very responsive over the phone and flexible with facade design requests on the front wall. His team rebuilt my chimney (from cement block to common brick), installed all new clay copings, stainless steel drip edges, and even tuckpointed other small spots on the front and side exterior of the house without asking for change orders, etc. Additionally his team not only carefully reused my original (and nearly impossible to replicate) front facade iron point brick, but also made sure to keep the extra brick in a safe storage place for me for future repairs. His team was friendly and professional, they cleaned up and prepped the roof for rain each day, and water sealed the perimeter while I await the roofers for phase 2. It was good work on our small one-day or 6-hour project where you had three workers performing the tuckpointing around the chimney and several bricks close to the bottom of the house. The top chimney mantel was not replaced and it didn't need to be replaced. Thanks for taking time out to know what needs to be done and making the quote fairly priced. Other companies wanted to take more bricks out at different places in the house and do more unnecessary work. The condition of our tuckpointing was decent. The house needed a nice touch-up work around the perimeter of the house where snow touches the brick and spots at the top of the roof line. Almost every brick was looked at and tuckpointed. A few bricks were missed. A different company wanted to use a diamond bit to chisel out every brick for a small 20' x 20' house while charging $12k. I am sure the work from the other company would have done a great job although it was unnecessary. It might be best to review a few videos online to get a better understanding of what tuckpointing and bricklaying are all about. read more

I would recommend J&P. The quoting process was easy. Pawel assessed what needed to be done and we were added to the schedule within the week. The crew that arrived to do the work had trucks that showed the name Aragon (not J&P) .. so I was a bit confused. Apparently that specific crew has worked with J&P on cement jobs for years and they do really good work. Depending on what projects are in queue or what you need done, they may end up doing the project. For me they redid my concrete slabs, changed the pitch to redirect water from the foundation and even secured a cover on my window well. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. read more

The demo crew to replace my concrete walkway arrived and although there was a moment of wtf, Pawel immediately responded (he wasn't there) and the team got to work.
