I would highly recommend David and his team. We had everything taken out of our backyard including existing plants, grass, everything. We had charcoal bricks put in. The entire project took 2 days from start to finish. David sent pictures all day on both days which was amazing to see the progress. I am attaching some before and after pictures. Once the work started, David and his team found additional leaks that could have caused much bigger problems if they hadn't been repaired. We ended up having an issue with the roof leaking again and unfortunately it was a part of the roof that was done by a different contractor. David was super quick to respond to the issue and got workers to come out within a few days and is reasonable in pricing. He came out the same day and provided an estimate on the flat roof an extension of my house. The estimate by far seemed reasonable, so we decided to move forward. He setup an appointment for the very next day for the roof replacement. When meeting with David I got really good vibes which made me want to do business with him, his eyes seemed "honest". I've met several contractors over the years, most not so honest. David didn't try selling me things I didn't need, or inflate prices. The work him and his crew provided was excellent. I called this company today during a rainstorm because my regular roofer hadn't had time to replace a few asphalt shingles that had blown off my roof. My roof had 5 shingles cupping or missing, but I told him to assume 10 in case there were others that needed replacing. I got a verbal quote of $1,800. I calmly told him I don't wish to do business with someone that practices predatory pricing, and the price lowered to $1,200. I told him I think it's best we simply end the conversation. He then asked me what I thought it should cost, and I asked him to please take another look at the pictures I sent him and consider if he was being rational with his estimate. He made some excuses about it isn't easy to access the roof (it's a bungalow with a driveway so it's easy to set up ladders) and some story about its hard to work with vent pipes, which aren't even in the area needing shingles replaced. I wished him well and ended the conversation. He texted me back wanting to provide me with an estimate. I can't say if this guy does good work, but I can smell bull excrement from a mile away. And wouldn't trust such an opportunist. I then called my regular guy, his wife apologized for not getting back and said they were busy this spring but would make me a priority. They looked at the pictures I sent and are charging $300. I seldomly leave bad reviews and usually find highly rated businesses to be a good value. This guy must have so much work that he feels he can six times the price and make enough money that he only needs to work one day a week. read more

BEWARE! They did a decent job on our crumbling tuck pointing, but painters they are NOT. We had them paint our entire interior, from ceiling to baseboards. They absolutely butchered our home. Not only was their paint job sloppy, rushed, and incomplete, they damaged our walls and lost outlet covers and door stoppers. We asked David to come over and see the shoddy work his crew was doing and he failed to show up until the last day of work. He seems to think dazzling you by calling you "sir" will make you overlook the poor work. My husband has spent hours undoing the dumb stuff they did - from drilling their own holes to re-hang curtain rods as opposed to using the existing ones, where we wanted them hung, to touching up paint. We will have to hire a professional painter to do cover up their terrible paint. They are no more painters than a two year with finger paints. We felt totally taken advantage of and our home was disrespected. I waited several months to write this review so I could do it fairly, but this review is reflective of the crappy job they did. They didn't even finish the job - there are large areas all over our home where the old paint is still visible. Edges are sloppy and uneven, they randomly slapped paint on doors and windowsills. I strongly warn anyone thinking of hiring them to think twice and go with professionals. Save yourself the time, money, and headache. read more

They were great with communication and they came out on short notice. They removed some rotting wood and installed new plywood they had on hand. The repair is air and water proof. This project was for my entire home. This is an honest review of my bad experience with this company. It was a waste of my time and caused me significant stress. I am sharing this to put it on record and help others be aware. The company also mentioned they had the roof material that I wanted, leftovers from other projects, in their inventory which they claimed would be used for my entire home. Again, unfortunately, several red flags emerged after I contracted them for a roof replacement project for my entire home. After I made the deposit and agreed to the contract and start date, the company began changing the installation date and making comments like, "I'm charging you cheap for this project." These were immediate red flags for me, and I started preparing myself for potential fraud. Sure enough, a couple of days later, they informed me that they needed to increase the project cost by about 52%. When I refused, they tried to intimidate me, insisting that I was wrong not to agree to the increase. I chose not to engage and just wanted to move on, but they continued to claim that I had a good deal and that no other companies would take the job even with the increase. This was clearly a lie. When I started asking for my deposit back, they began questioning how much I wanted to spend on the project, ignoring our contract and the recent price increase. I believe they realized they couldn't scam me, so they returned my deposit a day later. read more

Would highly recommend Nicholas Roofing & Tuck Pointing. We had some major issues with our gutters, they were able to come out and fix the problems. Our gutters were detached in places, completely compacted in debris, and whenever it rained they would overflow. We bought the house in 2020 but it sounds like it was years of debris build up. It has poured a couple times since we've had them done and no issues! We believe the price we paid is fair to the work done, and it comes with a guarantee as well. I had a gutter and Facia issue which developed an opening on 1 side of my house where water was no doubt entering when it rained so I was in need of a qualified roofer asap! We got a new roof when we bought the house but we didn't finish the gutters or the fascia/flashing due to some other unexpected costs at the time. One year later, we got quotes to finish the job, and David's was right in the middle. We needed the fascia and soffits replaced and the gutters rehung. David's crew spent 2 1/2 days on the job, discovering wood beams behind the old fascia that were unprotected and therefore deteriorating. They replaced the beams and spent significant time ensuring the gutters were hung at the right degree so the water would flow correctly through them. Considering it took the first roofer 1 1/2 days to replace the entire roof, the amount of time and care David took was not lost on us. He kept us constantly updated with photos and videos of his work, as well as regular walkthroughs in person. He also suggested additional work his team could do while on-site, including re-tuckpointing our chimney to prevent leaks and capping our front window and door with aluminum (as a very old house, the wood was deteriorating). I felt the final price for the roof work and these additional repairs was fair, and it was very considerate of him to see what work they could easily add on at a good price. Luckily, the work was finished just as a torrent of rain and snow arrived. This showed the quality of the work, as everything was water tight! We'll definitely keep David in mind for future work. David responded quickly to our request for a repair estimate on our 2nd story roof. He came out same day and gave a quote while standing on the ground, never going up to look at the 26' tall flat roof. Didn't even bring a ladder. He had a woman email an estimate that was just a paragraph on no letterhead, and told me check or cash payment only. When I told him I would get back to him after speaking with my husband that evening, he would not quit calling and texting. I then told him we were getting other quotes and would let him know if we wanted to hire him. He made 16 contact attempts in 36 hours. We hired someone who went up on the roof and looked at the issue (different than David's guess). I don't know the quality of his work but he really harassed me while I was trying to work!
