Wow! I can not believe this is how a Doctor's office is run. I had a scheduled appointment today and saw that there was over an hour of traffic. I called in multiple times but they were at lunch. As soon as I got through to someone I informed them I was in traffic but would arrive around 15 minutes after my appointment and if it was ok. They said sure! We will make note of it in your chart and see you soon. I arrived and then said the NP can't see me. Why did you let me keep driving for 30-40 minutes when I could have just turned around? I honestly am in shock to their disregard. They could have easily told me we will have to reschedule when I called in. I'm extremely disappointed. Will never return read more

Rose Senior Vemulapalli Physicians (RSVP) made my second pregnancy the best experience yet. A huge thank you to everyone I met here, especially Lauren A and Dr. V! You all are the best! I can't thank you enough for taking such amazing care of my mental health, my baby boy, and my pregnancy. If you're new here, be sure to read this review thoroughly so you're fully prepared to have as great of an experience as I did! What to Expect as a New Patient: First things first, if you're a new patient, call to schedule your appointment. Before heading in, make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. When you arrive at the office, get in line, be ready to show your insurance card, and then wait for your name to be called. Once it's your turn, they'll take your weight and bring you to a room to meet with your midwife or doctor. Before that, you'll have your blood pressure checked and be asked a few routine questions, like your preferred pharmacy. First Pregnancy Check-Up: If this is your first pregnancy check-up, they'll likely bring in a monitor to confirm your pregnancy. If you're expecting, congratulations! After that, you'll have regular visits, typically once a month, to monitor your baby's heartbeat. Future Check-Ups: As your pregnancy progresses, the frequency of your appointments will increase. You'll go from monthly visits to bi-weekly appointments, and by 36 weeks, you'll likely visit every week. In between appointments, you'll need to complete your glucose screening and blood work at a separate location. Labor & Delivery: When it's time for your baby's arrival, be sure to call the office so they can prepare John Muir for your delivery. Then, just load up your baby bag and head to the hospital. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by one of the midwives who has been with you throughout your pregnancy. By now, you'll feel comfortable with the staff, so you'll be in good hands. One thing to note: While they strive to have your preferred midwife or doctor with you during delivery, they can't guarantee it. However, when I delivered my second son, Lauren was there to help, and she was incredibly professional and took great care of me and my baby. Post-Labor: After delivery, they'll follow up with you and schedule your postpartum check-up for six weeks after your delivery. Overall Experience: Overall, I never felt like my care was transactional. The team at RSVP took the time to truly listen to me, address what I was going through during my pregnancy, and even helped me through the recovery process after delivery. Dr Rose is fantastic, such a shame they have a crappy billing system. I was precharged $240 for a procedure I told them would be covered. They charge me anyways and are saying they can only give me a refund of my HSA money in a check...I feel stolen from and had I know I would've used a different credit card and did a charge back. Terrible first impression as a new patient. Administrative staff were short and uncourteous. Some of the initial paperwork questions were concerning and raised a flag for welcoming like minded patients to their facility ONLY. After scrolling their website and seeing repeat marketing propaganda that reflects a specific non-conservative agenda, I knew this wasn't an inclusive office that catered to a wide range of folks. Disappointing for places like this to exist in 2025. Swiftly switched offices to a near by OBGYN that I was in alignment with. Be diligent and do some research before coming here. read more

This decision is too important to trust RSVP with. You might read my review and think "this just an upset individual, there are plenty of positive reviews. This person is wrong." And I'd understand that. But what if I'm right? They have a 4.2 rating on Yelp (and 3.9 on Google). You wouldn't get pizza from a restaurant with these ratings, why would you trust your pregnancy with them? We were referred to them by our fertility clinic as well as a friend who also went to RSVP (though their provider was Dr. Senior who is no longer taking new patients). We thought this was a safe pick. Our experience started on a Tuesday when we experienced bleeding. Called the office and the front desk person said they would report this to a dr and we would get a callback. We did not get a callback. On Wednesday when we called back, we discovered that the person on Tuesday did not even report our symptoms to the dr, and had to re-start and repeat the process once again. Now, they didn't cause our miscarriage, but they definitely made us feel helpless, hopeless, and worthless. Every interaction felt as if we were inconveniencing them, from the person on the call, to the front desk person checking in, and finally the nurse (?) who barked at me to get back in the room when I asked if we were supposed to get paperwork for bloodwork. The one positive experience was with Lauren Abrahamson, who was kind, patient, and understanding. As a side note, it really sucks to hear the staff celebrate someone's birthday as we're getting horrible news. The walls are paper thin. read more

RSVP OBGYN Too many things went wrong for me to decide to switch doctors after ONE visit. The nursing assistant recorded / documented my weight incorrectly. Misspelled my home address on the John Muir system. Nurse assistant didn't know how to pronounce basic words. They have one working ultrasound machine. The other was broken. Had to wait 15 mins it to be done with other patients. First appointment was 9/15/2023. Asked for a prescription refill. Check my pharmacist - it was never refilled. I went to the pharmacy in person hoping it was a mistake on Saturday 9/23/203, still nothing. On Monday morning 9/25/203 I called at twice. Once at 9:24 AM and then later at 2:34 PM - nothing was filled yet. The receptionist Maria stated the Doctor has NOT signed off yet on the prescription. Additionally, Maria stated they closed at 5pm. Instead they really close at 4pm and it even states so on their website. It took 11 days for me to obtain a refill on an important medication, which I had already ran out on 9/16/2023. Finally on Tuesday 9/26/2023 at 8:15am I get a call from RSVP OBGYN, that they finally filled my prescription at 7:40am that morning. Only after I had called after 5pm on the previous day to the after call receptionist wrote a lengthy email. First visit. Never met the doctor. The midwives fill in for them. Too many missteps for me to trust them with my body and future. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my OBGYN office RSVP! I have seen most providers in the group and have found everyone to be pleasant, respectful and kind. It seems the way the practice works is that you often see a blend of the different providers so if you need an urgent appointment you are usually always able to get on someone's schedule that week. With ALL the providers I always feel my concerns are listened to and I have had many complex visits over the past few years. From the birth of my first baby to my abnormal GYN issues, I can always count on evidence based, non-biased care. I also recommend them to many of my friends and have heard great feedback from them as well. read more

I had an odd encounter with PA Hope. It was my first visit, and she did the confirmation ultrasound. She said the date is such and such. I said, "oh?" With some surprise, since it was a full week later than the date based on my LMP. She said, "Are you free that day?" With some attitude. It bothered me a lot after. In the same appointment, I asked about inductions. She wouldn't answer my question and said to worry about that later on or something like that. I ended up going back for my next appointment with another person. I was hesitant to ask again about inductions, but I did. She said John Muir doesn't schedule elective inductions. You're basically on a wait list and on call. I was somewhat relieved that I had a better excuse not to go back to that practice. read more

After a terrible first delivery experience with another healthcare provider, I was recommended to Doctor Rose by a friend, and I am so grateful that I took their advice. The entire RSVP team went above and beyond to make me feel supported and cared for, and I felt confident that I was in the best hands possible. From start to finish, my experience with Doctor Rose was exceptional. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and took the time to get to know me and plan for my pregnancy and delivery in a way that no other doctor has before. His time was especially valuable as I didn't have a complicated pregnancy or delivery but did have a previous terrible experience that cast doubt and fear going into a second pregnancy. His compassion and commitment to patient care is unmatched and exactly what I needed to feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. I recently underwent my second c-section with Doctor Rose and assisted by Doctor Jhita, and I am over the moon with the results. The delivery was seamless and stress-free. I felt informed and empowered throughout the entire process, and my recovery has been so much quicker than my previous experience. I was a new 1st pregnancy patient. I was only able to meet 2 midwives here. My experiences here were never that comforting. My appt were always right after their lunch break but the vibe that I got while checking in was like I arrived 5 minutes before a store was closing. I didn't feel truly cared for and a lot of information related to prenatal screenings went over my head. I switched and found a better practice for my prenatal care. I love love love this office and the staff. Currently dealing with a medical mystery, we will call it. I've been in a lot of pain, Dr. V and Hope have been so helpful with helping me through this. I'm so glad I got a second opinion and it was here at RSVP where I got it. It will probably be a long journey until I'm better but I'm hopeful and I know I'm in good hands. I'm even more appreciative of this office because I've gotten several calls from Hope checking up on me to make sure I'm feeling better. That is great care! The administration part is so unorganized. 1, They ordered Natera gene tests when I was 3-month-pregnant, and they did not even check if those tests are still open - I went to all the places on their pamphlets (Concord / Walnut Creek / Pleasant Hill Area), none of the centers was open during working hour. Had to go to Oakland to do the test. 2, Had Telehealth appointment during pandemic, the doc was late for 40 minutes, and no one informed me of her being late. I needed to call them to let them know that doc did not give me call and they provided another time slot (just one, no choice) for me to book another appointment. 3, Docs need to be reminded to provide paperwork and order lab tests..... My doc told me to go to any Labcrop to have the pregnancy glucose test, but I found out they did not even order the test when I was at Labcorp. read more

She took amazing care of me (I'm a senior so not a pregnancy issue) and she couldn't have been more caring and interested in my well being. Odd interactions / conversations with the assistants/admins working there. For reasons I don't understand Dr Rose wrote very inaccurate after visit notes, stating we discussed certain things that we didn't even touch on. While we did talk about other issues, I did not feel that I was given good answers about what I went in for - my fibroids - while he wrote that we discussed them 'at length'. For whatever reason he also noted (in the after visit summary) that (and I quote) "Greater than 20 minutes were spent in direct patient care". Not sure why he had to specify that, but I'm certainly curious to see how and what they are going to bill me for. Update: I sent this review (a more detailed version explaining what parts of his notes were inaccurate) to Dr Rose personally via MyChart on John Muir health and told him I would be looking for a different Obgyn.. I then got a call from my 'new' obgyn's office saying I need to come in to speak to a specific Dr in their office, due to the history with my fibroids and "the interaction with RSVP". So somehow my new Obgyn found out about my complaint to Dr Rose which I had sent via a direct message to Dr Rose, so it wasn't public. I can only guess that someone at RSVP informed my new doctor, which is very odd read more

I'm a new patient so still haven't met all the doctors. I often have a doctor cancel and get a midwife instead which I'm not too happy about. The doctors that I have met (Dr Rose and Dr V) are fabulous. Mostly on here to offer a tip.... The office is closed for phone calls every day from 12-2 for their lunch. Long lunch!!!! This information isn't on their website and I find it very frustrating when trying to contact the office. read more

Someone mentioned this place was a puppy mill for pregnant women, and I couldn't agree more. While I trust and like the midwife, I feel like another number that is the issue for me. There is a senior medical assistant, who in my opinion clearly hates her job. She brings you back and always has a terrible attitude, and couldn't care less. I find myself hoping I don't get called in by her, which is a terrible feeling for any type of appointment. I have yet to meet any of the doctors, which seems strange to me. During my first pregnancy and I saw my doctor throughout my entire pregnancy. This place just seems like they care about volume, with staff (not the midwives) who make you feel like you've done something wrong for been being there. read more

I usually don't write reviews let alone bad reviews but what I experienced with the clinics staff is absolutely appalling and upsetting. As an expecting mother, you want to do everything you can to minimize your stress, you would think an Obgyn would know that! I had initially scheduled an appointment with this clinic but chose to go to another doctor. The other doctor barely had any openings and I was lucky enough to get a spot with the doctor. A few days later I get a voicemail that RSVP canceled my appointment with the OTHER doctor, "oops" was their brief voicemail. Apparently they share a system?? I don't even understand how they can access another offices appointments. Next thing I know, the doctor I wanted isn't available for another two months! The lack of training, the lack of empathy and the lack of care from their staff says so much! I had read terrible reviews before but didn't think it had any merit. Boy was I wrong. The providers at RSVP are some of the best around. Super friendly, personable and always willing to spend extra time to answer questions and explain. They treat patients as humans with individual concerns and not just an appointment slot. The office staff are very pleasant as well. (A belated post from 3+ years but my opinion hasn't wavered). The doctors and midwives here are exceptional. They take the time to hear your questions and importantly very tapped into all the research and best practices should you have lots of questions during your pregnancy (like me). During labor & delivery things didn't go as planned, but Lauren and Dr Rose were fantastic and both had such a calming energy. I appreciated how informative Dr Rose was as he explained and went into why he recommended a certain route. While I ended up needing an emergency c-section, his words of comfort right before surgery kept me grounded and I held on to them in that moment & post-delivery as I tried to heal mentally and physically. Truly grateful and always will be for Dr Rose. read more

My review echoes some of the sentiments already on here. I have been with Dr Rose since before he started up RSVP and have always had the best care provided by him and Dr V! I haven't spent much time with Dr Senior, but no complaints there either. No complaints for Lauren either; she has great bedside manner and very personable. Other than speaking great about these individuals, it's but if a logistical nightmare visiting here these days. I remember someone trying to schedule my for a C-Section, I have the GD and other health issues, but with good care have been able to have minimal intervention naturally deliveries. Zero reason to schedule a C-Section, which was sort of laughed away. But also concerning. What if I blindly trusted what you were telling me? The office staff here (definitely can't speak to all of them), but are happy to throw a lot of shade and attitude. I have an English accent and always get a lot of 'we don't understand what you're saying' but with rudeness. The comms is also pretty broken down. On May 20 I sorted o. My inducement and mat leave dates with the doctor, submit them to the office on June 3, with detailed explanations of what is going on and why I am going off work early 5w before my sch inducement date. 3 weeks later I get a call from the office manager, who apparently had no idea what was going on, submit partially completed FMLA forms to the leaves administrator for my Company, now is telling me that until we schedule My inducement I can't be off work, but won't schedule the inducement for me....I have the emails in my John Muir chart, where I shared all the info I have with her...not sure why nothing was verified with the doctor before hand, and why I am now being told all this needs to be verified. I mean, I agree with the due process, but the execution on it is awful. Either the office manager is over worked and can't handle the case load (empathy), needs a little retraining on optimal process flows and supply chain logistics (simple training), or truly doesn't give AF and is bringing down the practice. I'm so close to the end of this pregnancy, I'll just minimize change, but post partum I think it's time to look elsewhere. Oh - the office also won't call back the pharmacy to confirm a prescription (glucose testing strips), And no one seems to care that gestational diabetes requires testing. They seem to be ok with my suggestion of just freestyling my insulin and hoping I guess the correct dosage. Wth?! Bottom line - great doctors here, and if you don't plan on having a baby, I definitely recommend the medical care. If you need more than that though, and anticipate actual care (prescriptions, time away from work, consistent case management) probably better to look elsewhere. read more

After multiple recent visits, this practice is like a puppy mill for women. They clearly work on volume; quantity over quality. That mindset is reflected in the training of their staff, which is downright mean to patients. In a recent example, I stood newly pregnant, masked, waiting for several minutes while 3 separate receptionists completely ignored me. I waited. Meanwhile, they each typed at their computers, avoiding eye contact and taking multiple phone calls. When the receptionist closest to me finally decided it was my turn, she acknowledged my presence and asked my last name. I provided it to her only to have her immediately laugh, turn to the receptionist on her left, and tell that receptionist that the practitioner I was scheduled to see had just left. She continued to ignore me, making phone calls to confirm the provider had left. I waited. After making a couple calls, she turned to me and said, "X is not here, she had to run out quickly." I wondered to myself, do I still get an ultrasound today to find out if my new pregnancy is viable? But before I could relay my obvious question or hear an explanation of what would happen next, her phone rang, and she put up her finger to stop me from asking what was going to happen with my ultrasound and said, rudely--"hold on!" She then looked down at her phone, answered the call, and started digging through her computer answering someone else's questions right in front of me. It only got worse from there. The receptionist who scheduled my follow up (angry that I had complained to the manager about the "welcome" I received?) made a point to repeat several times to me that I needed to come back for a "second confirmation, right?" I ignored her the first time, afraid I would break down in tears if I had to actually confirm to a woman who'd just been super rude to me that yes, I just got terrible news that my pregnancy may not be viable and that I have to come back a second time to try to confirm viability. CONFIRMED. She asked a second time, repeating it more loudly, looking me square in the eye as if the power dynamic had clearly shifted, and she knew it. "You have to come back next week for a second confirmation, right?" It is hard to describe how bad it felt to have my personal health information used to hurt me by people I am paying to support me. Even after this bad encounter, I came back the following week and gave the practice a second chance. Unfortunately, the woman who did my intake was also extremely rude to me, asking me yet again to state I was there because they couldn't determine viability the week prior. I want to continue with my provider, who has been wonderful to me, but I cannot bring myself to withstand the mean girl treatment I get on the way in. It's too much. read more

I have been going to RSVP for almost a decade. They are amazing. Dr. Rose is an old friend, so I actually know the others in the practice quite well as I don't need him looking at my vag. We worked with the midwives on both of our births, both names Lauren, and both were totally amazing. The regular check ups I've always gone smoothly, but if you're looking for someone to carry you through labor and delivery, especially if it gets complicated like our second one did, I can't think of anyone better to turn to. We're very grateful that we've been able to work with them for such a long time and and been able to follow their lead as we never have any idea what we're doing! read more

I do not trust this place. The doctors lie on the medical records. They added an incorrect diagnosis, did not listen to what I was explaining, and lied about the instructions I was given. Also the receptionist Maria is very rude, unprofessional, and low class. If they cared about their patients they would provide better service. There is no way I will trust them with the delivery of my baby. With so many options in Walnut Creek this place should be avoided. read more

I came here after seeing another OBGYNs office at about 13 weeks pregnant. Where the other office fell short in service and compassion this office Rose and exceeded my expectations (see what I did there? ) This was my second pregnancy and I had BP issues as I had in my last pregnancy. I was monitored and definitely felt like they were taking all the precautions and extra care needed to make sure everything was moving smoothly. I saw all the doctors and nurses in some capacity or another. Loved Dr.Rose he has such a warm and charismatic and calm demeanor especially when calming down an anxious pregnant woman as myself super understanding. I had a c section and both Dr V and Dr Rose performed it and I am so grateful for my healthy baby boy. All the doctors are amazing and the staff definitely makes it a priority to fit in expecting mamas with hectic schedules. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about this practice! The whole team is wonderful, and they make sure you meet everyone on the team before delivery so when the provider on call comes to deliver, you already have a relationship with them. They are so professional, kind, and make you feel so well take care of. I've seen all the providers numerous times, but ultimately Dr. V was the one who delivered my precious boy. She was so calm and attentive and I had the most wonderful birthing experience because of her (and the nurses and John Muir). Dr. V was also so compassionate and honest during my postpartum visits. I've been a patient at RSVP for the last 5+ years. Dr V is my OBGYN and is really good at listening and explaining things which is great. Two years ago when I was pregnant and Dr V was out, I was transferred to Dr Rose and he was my primary during my entire pregnancy and delivered my son. My experience with Dr Rose was just as good as Dr. V. Both are great physicians who listen, provide good advice and have a good bedside manner. I had a smooth L&D experience and healthy baby boy thanks to Dr Rose. I've also seen Lauren L at the practice on a few appointments and had great experiences with her as well. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the office management. The doctors and midwives are 5 stars. The office management is 3.5. Rarely do my appointments ever start on time and they always tell you to arrive early which is annoying if you have to get back to work or have a time constraint. There are times I've waited 20-45 minutes just for my appointment to begin. Also, during Covid 19/SIP, the scheduling with the office staff has not been good. I've had appointments rescheduled 3x and one completely removed from the calendar. I understand the focus is on OB patients but its important not to completely forget other patients too. They are a busy and thriving practice with really great physicians/midwives who take good care of their patients. read more

Left my ob/gyn of 20 years in NY and moved to the west coast. My first contact with RSVP convinced me I had found my new ob/gyn provider. From the front desk staff who are courteous and helpful to my appointment with Dr. Madhavi Vemulapalli who is compassionate and listened to my clinical concerns and spent time with me. RSVP Thank you so much for the wonderful birthing experience. Me and my wife worked with all the doctors. They were all wonderful and the outcome turned out wonderful. They helped us do everything that was possible to have a natural birth and were not pushing drugs or procedures on us. Although we did not end up with a natural birth because of normal complications. Dr. V's skills with regards to the C-section, resulted in virtually zero scars after just a few weeks of healing. Dr. Rose was also there to answer questions and for delivery and his calm wonderful personality helped keep us very relaxed. Lauren was wonderful in the beginning answering our rookie questions since this was all brand new to us. Our baby is wonderful and healthy and we just had the greatest experience at John Muir and with RSVP. My only critique would be; I would have like to have been given an approximation of how much the out of pocket would have been with my insurance and PPO. It ended up getting MAXED OUT for the full $8,000, which I would have like to planned for instead of being surprised. So folks if you have a PPO with an out of pocket, just be aware, John Muir will bill that sucker up until it MAXES your out-of-pocket out. read more

I ended up switching to a different provider. My experience at RSVP wasn't bad but it wasn't great. This is my first pregnancy, and I switched for two main reasons: 1. my appointments seemed rushed with not a lot of care for my overall health and 2. The limited information that I did receive during my appointments was confusing. My husband and I came out of our appointment regarding genetic testing options completely confused despite asking clarifying questions. Afterwards, a friend recommended Stephen Wells. Just from his website, I located his pregnancy handbook and got my answers from the genetic testing section. I switched to Stephen Wells office and I highly recommend them so far. The midwife listened to my heart and lungs and even recommended that I see a cardiologist because she heard a tiny murmur - The midwife at RSVP never listened to my heart/lungs. The midwife at Stephen Wells also saw my note that I have anxiety, so she recommended I line up a psychiatrist because making that type of phone call will be the last thing I want to do with a newborn - so true and thoughtful. She also provided referrals to everything she recommended. Much more thorough and thoughtful with dedication to my health in addition to our baby's (because it's so intertwined in pregnancy). Maybe if I was a second time mom RSVP would be great. But as a first time mom, I feel much more supported by the care providers at Stephen Wells. My husband completely encouraged me switching which is also pretty telling since he was at every appointment. read more

My experience in a nutshell and why I am switching doctors. (I am 16 months pp) Dr. Rose = Great. Dr. V = Great. Delivered my sweet baby and saved me from a c-section. Dr. Senior = Met once when I tested positive for GBS. Probably could have warned me a little more about the intense side effects from the antibiotics I had to receive during labor due to GBS. i.e. thrush, low milk supply, yeast infections for months. Especially during my pp visit when Dr. V "wasn't surprised" after I delivered and had all these problems from the antibiotics. All Midwives = Absolutely hands-down amazing. Lauren A: so gentle, kind, caring. I love her! Physician Assistants (?) = A mix of professional, junior and senior level staff. Senior level staff is very grumpy. Junior level staff seems like they are about to cry any moment. Desk/ administrative staff: full transparency... wtf is going on? Do you check emails? Respond? Follow up on authorization of transfer of medical records? No. My last experience with this place was my pp visit right before the world shut down. I was sitting in the waiting area, and the front desk yells at me across the room and goes "hi ms. green, you still owe us a $500 (something) payment for your VAGINAL DELIVERY." Are you f*cking serious? That's how to handle business/ money? Yelling "vaginal" to someone across the room in font of other patients?? Charting: I know I know I know, charting sucks for doctors. But it really sucks when your employer is trying to approve your Mat Leave and your charting IS NOT UP TO DATE. I have really mixed feelings about this place. What it comes down to is; it was never a happy environment. And that's important. The review below kind of put it perfectly: "this practice is like a puppy mill for women". I'm giving them an average 3 -star because of the individual reviews. But as a whole, not the most caring environment for young women. It is with the biggest smile on my heart that I am writing this review specifically for Dr.Jhita. I switched from another practice to RSVP when I was about 16 weeks pregnant per suggestion from my doula as they had midwifery care. I didn't know this was a rotating practice and actually saw the Drs more than the midwives (I had a restricted schedule for appts and didn't mind though!). Dr.Jhita started at RSVP as I was towards the end of my pregnancy and from the moment I had my first appt with her (which ended up turning into quite a few towards the end) she was so genuine and caring. Gave you all the facts while still listening to what you want. I was scheduled to be induced at 41 weeks and we talked about what would be happening and took my concerns seriously. Well, I ended up going into labor 3 days prior and seeing her face come through my hospital room door was like a breathe of fresh air. Not only did she reassure me during my many moments of tears she was SO positive as she knew how much achieving a VBAC after a traumatic cesarean (at another hospital in SF) meant to me. Happy to say she delivered my healthy baby boy via successful VBAC! Thank you Dr.Jhita for believing in me and my body! I'm going to be on Cloud 9 for awhile. :) read more

I SO recommend this place! Everyone was incredibly friendly, kind, and easy to work with. I appreciated how detailed of a history they asked for - they didn't leave any questions unanswered and they took their time with me, which made me feel like they really had my best intentions in mind. Dr. Rose was an absolute delight - he sat me down and literally drew me a diagram of what I needed to know, what next steps to take, and what options I had. He explained everything to me in great detail, listened to my worries, and was even able to make me laugh in the middle of the (rather invasive!) exam! I love this practice. I would not suggest any other doctor. My primary doctor was Dr. Rose. He is incredible. He is patient, informative, proactive, kind and so calm. As this was my first pregnancy and I was high risk. I could be a little high strung and he always took the extra steps in ensure I felt like I had all the answers and felt confident about the next steps. Plus Dr. Rose has a great sense of humor making appts fun. Due to my blood pressure, Dr. Rose was so cautious, I was monitored 2 x a week at 30 weeks to make sure the baby and myself were healthy. I appreciated the extra step. Later in my pregnancy, I saw all the doctors in the practice to make sure I felt comfortable with all, because any one of them could deliver you if they were on call. Each one is unique in their style but I liked all of them and would trust them. I was fortunate to have Dr. Rose deliver my beautiful healthy boy. My water broke at 35 weeks and Dr. Rose was on call. We called his cell phone to wake him, he was at the hospital faster than we were. My son was head up all of my pregnancy and I had expected to have a C-section. We were going to try and flip him the next week but he came early (due to his size Dr. Rose did not think he would move but was supportive of me if I wanted to try). John Muir was an incredible birthing center and staff and so was my anesthesiologist. But Dr. Rose was my hero, the c-section was incredibly fast. We were laughing and talking thru it. He knew I was scared and he supported me and made me feel so safe. He has the biggest heart and was genuinely so happy for my husband and myself. My scar is so straight and almost not there. The follow up was great at the hospital by Dr. Rose and Dr. V. I could not say better things about the Staff at RSVP. I have been a patient of Dr. Rose for over 6 years. I am honored he delivered my son. I would have 10 more if Dr. Rose could deliver them. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for helping me get pregnant (took over 3 years), caring for me with geriatric pregnancy and high blood pressure and delivering my baby. I love you guys!! I really miss Dr. Rose you see him so much when you are pregnant its like you break up. read more

First of all, all the doctors, nurses and midwife Lauren are wonderful and I've had a great experience with each of them. However, I am giving them 3 stars because of long waiting times. I've tried seeing each doctor and the midwife, and at a few different times (even first appointments of the day!) and I always ended up waiting at least 30 minutes. I really value my time and it is simply not acceptable. I would also like to mention that I am 36 weeks pregnant and they make you wait in an exam room after seeing a nurse on an uncomfortable table. If I wasn't so close to my due date, I would probably look for another practice because of this reason, even though people working there are great. It is very frustrating every time I go there. I have been to doctors offices before where I was in and out within 15 minutes which is how long doctors usually dedicate for each patient unless there is a more serious problem. At RSVP, I normally leave an hour later after my arrival, even though the doctor spends an average of 10 minutes with me in the exam room. RSVP opened around 3 months ago and surely, they could book more time for each patient if they see that they are always late for their appointments. read more

Dr. Rose is the bee knees of doctors. He was the third doctor I went to for my second pregnancy. I was so happy and relieved to find someone amazing. First doctor I dumped because of office staff and bad PA. Second doctor was dumped because I did not want to deliver at Alta Bates. Dr. Rose is so kind, smart, funny and immediately put me at ease. He was professional, compassionate and warm throughout the entire experience. Can't recommend him more. read more
