This place is located on a quiet street in uptown Whittier. There's free parking in front on the street or a free parking structure directly across. The place is small on the outside but seems bigger on the inside. It's super clean and gives off a relaxing vibe. The massage room has a wall of battery operated candles that give off that ambient lighting and the soothing music is the cherry on top. Liz is so sweet. Talking to her feels like talking to an old friend. She's knowledgeable and good at what she does. The first session I did, I just got the facial massage, but during my session she learned I was post op and suggested the chin contour treatment which comes with red light therapy to promote healing and another machine that uses heat to help tighten the skin. The massage feels like a good type of pain. I know she's working her magic and I leave Agave with my jawline snatched. I love how she suggests things I can do while at home, in between sessions. I don't think Peter knows what deep tissue means, just because we says strong doesn't mean to hurt us. So he put a towel on my lower back and put lined the stones on top and he massages my legs, letting the stones cool down a bit. After he was done with my legs, he went for the stones. Like he uses the stones to try scraping my head off from my shoulders, I think he was scraping my neck and accidentally hit my head a couple of times, that's why it hurts. Presenting the gift card, the female masseur shifted her mannerisms and guided him to the room. With no further direction and no blanket for cover she entered after 10 mins of waiting and starts the massage. Not 2 mins in enters another costumer. Being the only masseuse there, she tends to the man with cash and puts him in the room next store and try's to pass my friend to someone else. She tried to call for back up so my friend would have to wait. After refusing to wait, my friend tried to explain that he had an appt. The lady then goes next door and apologizes to the guy and sends him off. She then comes back, coldly finishes the massage within 45 mins. My friend not only lost time but didn't get to enjoy what is suppose to relaxing due to the constant interruption. I experienced significant symptoms for the next couple of days. I reached out to them regarding what happened and was told someone would follow up with me about how they would address the situation or compensate me for the experience. Changing area with some basic toiletries. They also provide a toothpaste and disposable toothbrush. Common area has 4 side rooms (ice, red clay, salt, and forest). There's places to lie down and lounge and tables with chairs. There's also a kiosk to order food and drinks. You'll hear the sound of waves and gentle instrumental music to help you relax. Overall, enjoyed our experience here and will be back! They have a deal where you can purchase 10 spa entree fees for $300 ($35 per entry otherwise). Entry fee is waived if services are purchased (except for scrub only).

Once the massage started, she did a kind of body scan and she worked on all my tense areas. It was a deep tissue massage that definitely hurt but was very worth it. She made sure to ask if the pressure was okay each time it got intense and I told her yes (I can handle pain), I'm sure that if I asked to go softer she would but I was just letting her do her thing and trusting the process. I wanted to see what it was like the first time since I'll be returning for more sessions. This massage was nothing like the "regular" massage you get at one of those massage parlors where they have a routine and go about the appointment. Nancy took the time to focus on areas that I didn't even know needed to be worked on and I felt like complete jelly afterwards. She even did some cupping (my first time) and used this vibrating massage pad (heaven), my nose got stuffed halfway through and she put on some eucalyptus oil to open up my airways (very thoughtful). Nancy seems very intuitive to what your body needs so I'm sure that each massage she gives is going to be individualized to your body. She was also very informative about aftercare and what my body will be experiencing the following days and she was right.
