Agree with a few people on here the drivers are rude arrogant, don't pay attention to the road or the surroundings. I happen to encounter one on I-78 on the way to Holland tunnel. Affordable and Fast..They are not the cleanest cabs and not the best kept ones.But hey when you are stuck without a car or need a drop back from the grocery store,one call to the White Rose cabs and they will send you one as soon as possible.They are pretty accurate too.They give a time frame and I have never waited too long.The drivers are very nice and respectable and always give me a hand with the bags or the stroller etc unlike nyc cabs.The are very consistent with their prices too. read more

I've used them every time I go to NJ. They are affordable and efficient so far. Yes they may not be polished, but the guys are really cool if you speak to them and engage them as if they were actual human beings and not your personal driver. The dispatcher at White Rose Taxi is deliberately dishonest. I called the company from Manhattan at 7:45 p.m. and asked for a taxi to pick me up a half-hour later at the Edgewater Ferry Terminal. The dispatcher repeated everything back to me and I confirmed. I got to Edgewater, and there was no taxi. I called the dispatcher, and said, I am at the Edgewater Ferry Terminal and there is no taxi. Yes, Edgewater, the guy said, the driver's only a few minutes away. Eight minutes later, still no taxi. I called the dispatcher again and said, I'm still waiting here at Edgewater. The dispatcher said, but he's right there. Where? I asked. Oh, said the dispatcher, I thought you said Weehawken. The truth is that this company will promise a cab, and then make you wait. Sadly I had forgotten that, because three years ago they took 45 minutes to send a cab (after promising ten iminutes' wait) with a window that would not close (it was winter) and seatbelts that did not work. So tonight, after White Rose failed again, I called Babe's Taxi. They said they would be there in ten minutes, and the cab arrived in five minutes. I will never use White Rose again. Babe's is good. GW Taxi is good, but White Rose lies. read more

Very disrespectful. Get Uber. Driver was yelling and shouting at other drivers. Cutting lanes. I didn't feel safe.

If I could give this a negative star I would. The car pulled up and it looked like it had been in a stunt movie accident. Dirty - actually filthy inside and out with dents and marks everywhere. The guy didn't speak to me at all and kept all the windows down until I reached over and put them all up. If you're going to spend $50, find a car service that at least has a car that looks and feels decent with a driver who understands you! read more

I've lived in town for several years now and they are my taxi of choice. The cars aren't black limos but they don't charge $70 for a NB to EWR run either. All the drivers are cool dudes. And most importantly, they don't junk up the neighborhood by turning the streets into a mechanic shop. I won't use any company that maintains their cars on the street. read more

I like these guys. I have taken their cabs probably 50 times to get to the airport for business trips. Out of all of those times, I only had one bad driver and one late driver. Beyond that, they are fast, cheap and cordial. I could call last minute and they would have a cab there for me in 5 minutes, or I could make reservations. I think they prefer reservations, but both ways work. I found the drivers nice to chat with and I am not a chatty person. read more

Best prices and fast service. I use Rose taxi regularly in Bergen county because I've tried them all, Scotty's, Babes, GW Taxi and LimeTaxi to name a few. They're based in Guttenberg but still manage to make it out here and their prices are the best. They're prompt and polite, they're cars are a little old but they get the job done. Way too expensive. Uber & Lyft are usually half the price or even less compared to Rose. Rose wanted to charge me $18 to go from Weehawken to Fairview. I paid less than $8 for the same trip via Uber. read more

I use them occasionally when I'm going out to have a few drinks. The drivers are all very cool and easy to talk to. The cab service is rather fast and they get to your location quickly also. The price is very good and pretty cheap compared to the other taxi companies around , that's don't speak English btw. At least you get both with Rose. ( English and Spanish) read more

Terrible service. Told me it would be 15 minutes and never showed up. I kept calling - he picked up once to say he'll be there in a couple minutes, but would not pick up the phone after that. I have my own car so I am not really a cab person. This week, after an emergency visit to the Veteran's Hospital in East Orange, I found myself in need of a ride home. I called hours before hand to make sure the distance was not a problem. I spoke to Bill who listened and answered all my questions. When the time came, I spoke to Lou, who had already been briefed by Bill to my situation. They picked the perfect driver. Chris picked me up and immediately announced himself as being from Rose Taxi. I felt safe getting in the car and his driving skills and music were excellent. I can only hope I will not be in this situation again but if I am, you can be sure I will call Rose Taxi. Would have given no stars if given the option. These guys are rude and unprofessional. They'll tell you that they'll be there in a few minutes and you'll end up waiting much longer than that. This has happened on more than one occasion. When you call to follow up, nobody picks up the phone. They'll also hang up on you if you voice any type of complaint. They think they can treat people like garbage because they're one of the few taxi companies in the neighborhood. Rates are always different too, like they just make it up depending on who you are. I've been using Rose Taxi for the past 10 years since it was "White Rose." I have used them dozens, if not hundreds of times over the years, and have found them to be impeccably reliable. used this company countless times and finally fed up with the completely unprofessional customer service and unacceptable fleet. they're not expensive, but not the cheapest in the area either. found another company closeby that is cheaper, with cleaner cars and a better attitude. also beware - they are happy to charge more when you're running 10 minutes late but when they show up more than 10 minutes late (happened enough times) never a concession. white rose lost another customer. read more
