Loveee. Ordered food here for the first time- takeout , so enjoyable and memorable a new top favorite. Loved all the sliders we shared. The chicken was perfect, so tender and juicy. I think one slider is filling enough with all the well combined ingredients. Their fries with corn were something different and worth the try i loved!

Such a cute new spot! Rosemarie's was the perfect find for our book club. We sat in the back and loved how spacious it felt. The sliders were delicious and definitely the highlight! They don't have their liquor license for beer yet, but I was happy with my iced tea for now. Kane was so sweet and welcoming. He even brought our food out to us after we ordered at the counter. It got a bit chilly in the back, so bring a sweater until they get some heat lamps! Can't wait to come back for a round of drinks once the bar is fully open.

The Classic and The Round Up. The Round Up was especially good.

This interesting spot shares building space with Gelati $ Peccati (and if you haven't had the latter's pizza, go there now--right now--and get some. It is terrific). Rosemarie's is all about sliders and they are done nicely. For a hefty $18 (at this writing), you get two good-sized sliders. I suppose two of these sliders probably equals one burger. Inflation is crazy these days but I suppose $18 is about right for a burger, currently. The nice part is you get to pick two sliders from about 10 or more different slider creations. You can get a very nice "normal" type burger or something very different like the soft shell crab one. For you soft shell crab fans out there, this slider is excellent. It was nicely cooked and had a heap of coleslaw on top. Don't be put off by how the crab looks. You can eat the whole thing. The RosieMac is supposedly made with wagyu. It is a nice burger but mine was a bit overcooked which sort of kills the flavor and the juiciness factor. They don't ask you how you want them cooked so I guess you get 'em how they want you to get 'em. The Round Up is like a Western bacon cheeseburger with an onion ring. This one had a lot more flavor than the Rosiemac. The Classic was fine. The fries are heavily seasoned and are very good. You get a ton of them so two or three people can easily share them. The housemade ranch was weird and not strongly flavored. Just use the stuff from the grocery store, guys. No booze at this location just yet although their menu suggests booze will be coming. I would probably return to try some of their other sliders.

So good! My boyfriend and I were spending the day up in Encinitas and happened upon this place when we were walking around looking for lunch. I love that you can mix and match the sliders because it is always hard for me to decide on just one. Between my boyfriend and I we had the Little Sal, The Gnar, Captain Jack, and Cajun Softshell Crab. They were all insanely delicious. Being from Maryland, we both especially enjoyed the Old Bay slaw on the crab slider. We also tried the Elote Fries which I would definitely order again. The owner happened to be there the day we went and was raving about their wings so he gave us some to try on the house, they were great! He also came by our table later to check on us. Service and food 10/10. Happy to see there are also locations in mission and ocean beach so we can go more often.

This place was OK. I really wanted to like it. I mean who doesn't love sliders? I had the Rosie and the Cajun soft shell crab sliders. Hubby had the Nashville hot chicken and the little sal. We also got a side of half onion rings and half fries to share. I was excited. The Rosie was really good. Nice flavor and gooey cheesy goodness. But the crab slider was super bland. No flavor whatsoever. When you say Cajun to me, I'm thinking flavor and spices. But this had nothing. Maybe a splash of cumin but that is about it. Onion rings and fries were good. It was super expensive for what it was. $50 some odd dollars for four sliders and a side of onion rings / fries at a fast food restaurant. It was a hair steep. Not sure I would ever come back.

Fries were delicious. Had paprika on them.

Very very tasty food. If you are not that hungry, you can get one. But the 2 pack is the best as you can change flavors. Burgers are delicious! Sliders? White Castle looks out. These are what sliders should be. My dad says "they don't skimp on the meat". He is raving about them. Firies were tasty and with a sprinkling of paprika too! Madi and Kane gave us excellent service with a huge smile and explained their product well. We will be back for sure. A great fast, delicious, experience.

The Gnar, Nashville Hot Chicken, and a RosieMac - Chicken was perfectly fried with a great breading...

When you get older, anything new opening has the unfortunate distinction of being compared to a growing lifetime of both fantastic experiences and opinionated nostalgia. So, while I believe Rosemarie's Buns and Brews is both very delicious and worthy of repeat visits, I also can't get the fact that it is haunting the shell of what was once a popular and beloved Angelo's Burgers. With that shadow in my mind, I still have to say that the burgers here are pretty fantastic. The menu is extensive, with an impressive range of proteins from the standard Wagyu to a triple decker fried eggplant to an entire soft shell crab on a grilled bun. Not only is there something for everyone, but there are items to help push the boundaries of what a delicious slider can be. I started with "The Award Winning Rosiemac", a simple slider with a Wagyu patty, cheese, mayo, and onion confit. It was messy, salty, and very delicious. The meat was cooked well, a flavorful outer crust while staying juicy throughout. The onions were soft and sweet. That cheese had melted to the point of being perfectly gooey. And the sauce was a nice mixture that brought a great salty and umami taste and brought it all together. I paired it with The Captain Jack, a slider piled tall with three large grilled shrimp, each plump and juicy with a great bite to them. The pickled cabbage was slightly sweet and tangy. The whole of it was slightly smokey, fresh tasting, with a nice texture that popped in the mouth with every bite. Also on our table were a serving of their Beer-Battered Onion Rings, which were a pretty standard version of this side. Some Red Chili Pork Fries, which would not have been my first choice when ordering loaded fries, and this did little to change my mind. And a serving of their Big Ole'classic Fries which helped showcase how good their ranch and aioli sauces could be. As for the rest of my clan, the wife had the Double Rosiemac, which she simply thought was 'okay'. My son ate The Gnar, a fried chicken thigh marinated in Teriyaki sauce with slices of pineapple, which he enjoyed quite a bit. And he also had the Nashville Hot Chicken, which proved too spicy for him. I had the pleasure of eating the rest and while I found the flavor a bit bland, the chicken itself was perfectly fried; juicy on the inside, with a crust reminiscent of a flakey and crispy Karaage-style breading, that was fantastic on a sandwich. And my daughter had the Kids Chicken Poppers Meal, which she only ate a little bit of, but I personally really liked. The chicken was ground, mixed to the point where the interior of each popper felt light and airy when chewing through the well fried crust. Not only were they pretty good, but they also reheated well the next day. All in all, we had a very impressive dinner here. Not everyone was thrilled with their food, but I liked everything enough to want to come back. And with options like a blue cheese chicken sandwich, a burger with bacon whiskey sauce, and those tantalizing eggplant or soft shell crab sliders still yet to try, I can easily see myself driving back down to Encinitas to try again. I'm just going to have to go to Oceanside first to visit the Angelos there for a burger.

The Luau & Filet O Mahi Mahi!

Rosemarie's Buns & Brews in Encinitas is so nice. The location is painted in a light blue grey color and they have dark blue picnic tables outside. They also have an enclosed dining space and then past that is where you order. So, it is quite spacious. They are a dog friendly (outdoor) and kid friendly space. They even have a tv mounted outside in one area and the tables are pretty flexible for location. I did see two men pick the table up to move it into the sun. I've been to Rosemarie's before in OB with my friends & they were recommending me what they ordered. So, in Encinitas, I decided to try ~$9, The Luau Slider! It's a wagyu slider with pepper jack cheese, onion confit, teriyaki grilled pineapple, house pickled cabbage, Korean bbq + kewpie mayo, on a turano brioche. The wagyu slider for me was quite crispy and thin, I'm unsure if it was supposed to be like smashburger vibes? I didn't mind it though because the crispy edges of the burger plus the juicy grilled pineapple contrasted very well. The use of pepper jack cheese was a good choice since you have that deliciously cooked down onions and sweet pineapple. I wasn't able to taste the Korean BBQ on the luau, but I'm sure if I asked they could have given a little more -- no biggie! 4/5! My aunt had the $8.50, Filet O Mahi Mahi. She let me taste it and omg it was delicious! The fish was beautifully cooked and flaky. The tartar sauce 101% carried the slider. It was so good. I loved all the seasonings and herbs they used in it. 5/5. We also shared the ~$14, Classic Onion Rings! Was given homestyle ranch with a squirt of their chipotle aioli... that little taste was delicious. I'd ask for a container of that next time. We also got ketchup! They gave a lot of rings and they were fried! Not greasy and the perfect amount of batter coated the onions. Some places make it gummy on the inside, but this had a really nice crunch to it. It wasn't overly seasoned with salt either, it did say that it's dusted with smoked paprika! 10/5!! The workers were all very kind and the space was very clean and organized. The food came out in a timely manner and nicely presented as well. I would probably try their fries or the Bombay Hot Chicken next time. I think these sliders, or as they would call it "Lil' Masterpieces" are worth the price! They have so many choices, from classics to more elaborate and unique combos -- something for everyone.

a ROSIE SINGLE (1/4 lb wagyu slider with onion confit, American cheese, Kewpie mayo, and house special sauce) on a Turano brioche bun

I've gotten a bit agoraphobic since the Covid pandemic. part of me resists leaving the house and there's an elevated level of anxiety when I do. it's mostly subtext but definitely there. these days I cringe and the hairs on the back of my neck jump to attention every time I bookmark places that aren't in easy walking distance. caught a YouTube video (Gareth Eats) that included a visit to one of ROSEMARIE's other locations. the host went sphincter factor 7 over their sliders. a well placed lump of coal would be a diamond by now. always a sucker for a good burger, I made the arduous ten minute drive from Carlsbad to Encinitas three times last week. the crispy, BEER-BATTERED ONION RINGS with smoked paprika and a ranch-and-chipotle aioli dip were a guilty pleasure. if you like rings even a little, definitely order these. wife-unit wasn't fond of the paprika so the rings were ordered "hold the paprika" on the third visit. the SPICY ELOTE FRIES, one pound of hand cut French fries, roasted corn, chipotle aioli, pickled peppers, cotija cheese, and micro cilantro, were very interesting. gotta remember to order them extra crispy next time so they'll stand up better to the wet toppings. the WINGS were solid if not spectacular -- ain't no thing but a chicken wing. WE HAVE EGGPLANT are slices of eggplant deep-fried to order and stacked with Korean BBQ sauce, pickled cabbage, and Kewpie mayo on a Turano bun, a great veggie option even hardy meat eaters will enjoy. I did and it was all the prompting my vegetarian (son #4) needed to join the family for New Year's Eve. the LUAU, a 1/4 lb Wagyu slider with jack cheese, onion confit, teriyaki grilled pineapple slice, pickled cabbage, Korean BBQ sauce, and Kewpie mayo) was excellent. I ordered the ROSIE SINGLE, a 1/4 lb Wagyu slider with onion confit, American cheese, Kewpie mayo, and house special sauce on brioche bun, and the nineteen-year-old (#5 son) had a ROSIE DOUBLE (two 1/4 lb patties). amazing. two EVEN COWGIRLS GET THE BLUES giant thumbs up. if you don't get the reference, educate yourself to the genius of Tom Robbins while there's still time ... the LITTLE SAL is a 1/4 lb. Wagyu slider with jack cheese, bacon-whiskey sauce, onion confit, baby arugula, and Kewpie mayo on a Turano brioche bun. easily qualifies as one of the best burger I've EVER had, and I have 77 Yelp burger reviews and a few thousand (mostly pre-Yelp) burgers not reviewed. yeah, it was that good. CAJUN SOFT SHELL CRAB (battered and deep-fried soft shell crab, lemon aioli, and Old Bay slaw) on a Turano brioche bun was disappointing. deep-fried soft-shell crab is almost always disappointing. got excited when I saw it on the menu and momentarily forgot it almost never lives up to my imagined hype. the middle (as seems perpetually to be the case) was mushy with the mouth feel of an undercooked pancake. the NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN slider, a deep-fried chicken SLIVER with duck fat Nashville hot sauce and Kewpie mayo on a Turano brioche bun was AWFUL. lots of breading around a paper-thin slice of yardbird. one-note flavor if you consider cayenne a flavor. EPIC FAIL. the sorriest fried chicken sandwich I've ever had, and I've had a bunch. #2 son and his son both ordered one during our third visit. both raved about it. hopefully my experience was unique. still, I rated ROSEMARIE's five stars because everything else was that good. just buns, no brews. they're still waiting on the city to get off their collective useless butts and issue a beer and wine license. word.

For being a burger place, this is one of the best salads I've ever had and will definitely be back for it Definitely a great option for someone wanting a green and lean choice That being said everyone else loved the burgers too!

Love this place. Great outdoor space for dog moms and dads who want to eat with their fur baby. Got my pup a burger patty that he thoroughly enjoyed. Ordered 4 sliders (bbq, luau, rosemaries, Nash chicken). Got them all with the mayo and special sauce on the side. Glad I did because the sliders are so flavorful it is not needed. Not quite sure why people are saying the fried chicken is greasy. I'm a huge foodie and loved the crunch and flavor. It was the perfect size for a slider. My fave was the luau with the juicy pineapple. The burger is a big portion not your typical thin McDonald style patty. 2 is filling especially if you have a side like fries or rings. I got the rings and they were crunchy and tasty with a huge portion for possibly 3 or 4 people. Ended with the churros that were crunchy came with 2 dipping sauces and vanilla ice cream that is a great get. Food came fast and service was friendly. Great music vibes outdoors. This will be in my weekly rotation and will be back!

And our server was fantastic. So why, you might ask, only 4 stars in my review. Two reasons: 1). Management has prohibited giving a splash of a beer for someone to sample. Bottom line is that I wanted to order a pint of beer, but I wanted a splash of a couple of beers to try to make my decision. They refused, saying that one must buy a 5oz taster if one wants to taste the beer. I find that policy offensive. In the end I bought a taster to taste the Chuuurch, and then bought an additional pint after. It just seems nickel and dimey, and would be asking to an ice cream place not allowing one to sample their ice creams before buying a cone. I hope management reconsiders this policy. 2. My wife got the Hot Mess Fries and was disappointed not only in the flavor, but also in the misleading advertising. On the menu it specifically said that there was bacon in the fries, but in fact what they put on the fries was either chunks of ham or "Canadian bacon" (which as we all know is a very different thing from "bacon"). If they were or of regular bacon, the kitchen should have told the server this so he could have asked her if she wanted ham as a substitute. And, of they always use ham instead of bacon, them the menu needs to be changed to reflect that.

We had a diverse mix of people across multiple age groups at our table and she was nothing short of fantastic. Questions were answered, recommendations were given, and drinks were never empty. The food matched Jessica's attentiveness. Our crew's meal ranged from the poke bowl to the loaded Cardiff Crack fries (a must, especially for tourists) to kids eats. Everything came out perfect.

We ended up grabbing seats at the bar, which was a great choice. We ordered the: *Fig Burger with Brussels Sprouts: the Brussels sprouts were phenomenal. They had what tasted like pecans, some kind of glaze, and cheese... seriously so good. The Fig Burger itself was just as impressive with such a unique combo and absolutely delicious. *Steak Sandwich with Onion Rings: this was also a standout. Perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and came with a great dipping sauce that really tied it all together. The onion rings were crispy and on point too. First off, I love that they offer a variety of sides (sweet potato fries, truffle fries, mac & cheese, Brussels sprouts, etc.), though most come with a small upcharge. We had a few drinks and even grabbed a bottle of wine from the bar to take back to our Airbnb, which was a nice bonus. The vibe was relaxed with TVs playing highlights from a basketball game, and the bartender/server was awesome. Parking was easy with free street parking, though that might've been because it was late and a holiday. Only heads up: definitely call ahead about kitchen and closing times, especially on holidays. Online said they close at midnight, but they were actually closing at 11 PM. We were told over the phone the kitchen closed at 9:45 PM, but when we arrived at 9:30 PM, it had just switched to last call. Thankfully, they were kind enough to still get our order in. Overall, phenomenal food, great service, and a solid spot worth checking out. Would definitely come back.

When you look at this place from the outside, you would have no idea how huge it is inside. From…read morethe street it kind of looks like a loading dock, but inside it is modern and sleek with a nice bar, lots of tables, and a patio overlooking the lagoon. The beers were good, service was excellent, and the food menu looked enticing even though this was just a quick beer stop for us. I have to admit when I first sat on the patio overlooking the "lagoon" I thought this is kind of an oversold view considering it is literally in the name. Then an egret wandered by and suddenly it all felt a lot more coastal California and a lot less random pond behind a brewery. Ended up being a really chill spot. Would definitely go back.

Has a rad view and the the open architecture is perfect for sunny days. Service was solid, absolutely no complaints. Our server was attentive but gave us space and didn't rush us at all. They have a great drink selection (obviously). We both got the Mexican Lager which was light and smooth. Followed that up with the ceviche. We mixed in the house hot sauce which in my opinion elevated it. I got the crispy shrimp tacos. They were good. Kind of overloaded with cabbage but all the flavors were there so no complaints. My cuz got the Thai coconut chicken sando which looked . He said it was good too. All in all. Epic location, great food, great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back. FYI, the only downside was parking is limited and pretty much only option is paid self parking or valet - worth it though
