My kid is a smash burger connoisseur, and Crispy Burger tops the list of crispiest, most delicious burger in the area. For a spot that's kind of inconveniently located without any seating, Crispy Burger is poppin! Very busy, and the man on the grill didn't stop smashing burgers the entire 20 minutes we were in there. The menu is extensive and very customizable. Not in the mood for a burger? No problem. There's also egg breakfast sandwiches served all day. No seating was a little annoying, but it was a great excuse to trunk picnic at the beach. We'll be back for sure.

Ordered online, stopped by to grab it to go. The parking lot is a bit challenging with the coffee drive thru. The burger was great!! Gluten free bun was great too. AND NO UP CHARGE FOR GF!! Not sure if it was because of all of the stuff on the burger but it was great. They had an advertisement on the door for a double cheeseburger for $3.99; which I didn't see on the online ordering platform. I would definitely go back!

on a long drive to the desert, made a pit stop here. wow, it was so good. the burge was perfectly made with crisp edges and fresh meat. incredible flavor that leaves you wanting more! the fries were pretty good too. would surely come here again. the buns were so soft too. right off the freeway! so easy. love

Went by for some lunch, staff were nice and the food came out quick. The OG double burger: Really rich, greasy, well seasoned. Almost falling apart from all the fats, exactly what you expect from a burger. 4/5 1/2 fries and onion rings: Fries looked to be coated in a batter, which had a different texture than straight fried potatoes. The onion rings, near perfect. 5/5 All American single: Rich like the OG, but the vegetables, and acid from the condiments and pickles balance it out. From the two I prefer the American more 5/5 Overall I'd come back again

Why is this place called crispy burgers, should be mushy burgers. Way over rated and how. My son didn't even eat his burger after one bite, he will eat at all cheap fast food burgers, I have never seen him not eat a burger. Meat is whatever, cheese sucks, fries boring. Staff was nice. Don't review on ambience, but none. Oh and it's a Pepsi place enough said, they do have coke in a can, have you ever been to a coke place and they have Pepsi in a can, nope because coke is what makes the meal complete. Don't go been passing this place for a long time always thinking about trying it but my own tuition was keeping me from a bad experience. This place is a chain, crazy. Really makes San Diego look bad

    CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICH

The most mid hamburger that doesn't even taste like a hamburger. I got the OG after a friend of ours said it was a place to check out. We all thought it was very mildly tasting. My friend who got the crispy chicken sandwich said it taste like something she got from Carl's Jr. Mine doesn't even taste like a burger. It tastes like a meat patty sandwich. Thank God, I added jalapeños because without that this thing would have no taste. $18 with fries is a huge rip off. Not going back.

Talk about an amazing burger joint! I had the 2025 deal at Crispy Burger to start off the new year, and it was the best ever! Mouth watering, perfectly cooked double on a brioche bun, with cheese! The sauce and onions are fire! The burger is like a smash burger and In N Out combined but a million times better! The fries and ranch dressing were delicious too! The staff were working so fast and so friendly! They were amazing! Can't wait to visit the Oceanside location when it opens!

Some friends of mine insisted on bringing me here even though I'm not a big burger guy and I absolutely see why now. I love that they have Impossible Burgers as an option. To be honest, I had no idea what a crispy burger was. Apparently they roll the meat into a ball and smash it down for cooking. Honestly I thought that the idea of thousand island dressing on a burger sounded strange but I decided to go with it and end up loving it. It was delicious and obviously unlike any burger I'd had before. They also cook the fries in avocado oil, which was also something I hadn't experienced before (but also loved). This is a very small place where you just grab your food and go. We got our burgers and ate them at the nearby beach. I loved my meal from here and would absolutely be a regular if I lived around here.

I loved these thin patty burgers, not salty, and the bun is so soft and has a hint of sweetness to it, the grilled onions have a subtle crunch. Definitely would come back, not a local so this is a gem if you live near by try it out. The fries and onion rings were perfectly cooked to the right about of crispness. The employees Offer you an option for thousands island or ranch or both, tried both and they seem home made, very good. No seating area, just take out.

    Yay for using avocado oil!

And our server was fantastic. So why, you might ask, only 4 stars in my review. Two reasons: 1). Management has prohibited giving a splash of a beer for someone to sample. Bottom line is that I wanted to order a pint of beer, but I wanted a splash of a couple of beers to try to make my decision. They refused, saying that one must buy a 5oz taster if one wants to taste the beer. I find that policy offensive. In the end I bought a taster to taste the Chuuurch, and then bought an additional pint after. It just seems nickel and dimey, and would be asking to an ice cream place not allowing one to sample their ice creams before buying a cone. I hope management reconsiders this policy. 2. My wife got the Hot Mess Fries and was disappointed not only in the flavor, but also in the misleading advertising. On the menu it specifically said that there was bacon in the fries, but in fact what they put on the fries was either chunks of ham or "Canadian bacon" (which as we all know is a very different thing from "bacon"). If they were or of regular bacon, the kitchen should have told the server this so he could have asked her if she wanted ham as a substitute. And, of they always use ham instead of bacon, them the menu needs to be changed to reflect that.

BIERGARDEN @ ENCINITAS…read more Parking can be a little difficult since this spot is located right on the main strip in Encinitas. There's parallel street parking throughout the area, so you might get lucky and find a spot nearby. I ended up parking on one of the side streets, which worked out perfectly. I came here on a Sunday afternoon, and it was definitely busy. We had to wait a little while for a table because several tables still needed to be cleaned before they could seat new guests. The staff was incredibly friendly, though, and we were seated as soon as they could. It did take about 15 minutes before a server was able to come over and take our order, but the restaurant was completely packed, so it's something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. After spending the day at the beach, we were really just in the mood for drinks. I ordered the Blood Orange Margarita, which can be served with Tajín, sea salt, or no rim at all. It was really good and definitely on the stronger side, which I appreciated. My only complaint was that there was a bit too much ice, but the flavor itself was great. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, large open windows that let in plenty of fresh air, and a fun, lively vibe that makes it a great place to relax after a beach day. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the ambiance and cocktails, just be prepared for a little wait if you visit during peak hours.

I wonder if this is a location on eBird. Yes, I am a dork. I came here years ago while on a business trip and randomly found this place and loved it here. So when a date suggested we come here, I took a look at the venue and remembered what an awesome brewery this is! Date gets some brownie points for chosing this spot, maybe this could go somewhere haha. Parking is a situation here. But if you go past the restaurant, there is some parking on the road and in small lot meant for those enjoying nature. I felt bad taking one of these spots. There is paid public parking on the corner before the restaurant and valet is available at this brewery. I need to figure out another way to get here... On a Sunday afternoon, place had people but it wasnt mobbed. Baseball game and Del Mar horse races were showing on the TVs. But, don't come here to watch TV, look outside! I saw some very good bird action, including an egret doing some weird strutting in the lush greenery. I am bummed I forgot to bring my binoculars but I will be back here again soon with binocs ready! I started off with a hefeweisen and that was good, date had a Mexican lager x 2. I had the ceviche (pretty good) and had the aioli on the side. Date had a sandwich of some kind and copious amounts of fries. It took a lot of will power for me to not have any of those fries, they looked so yummy! I also had a watermelon beer, this had hints of watermelon flavor and I enjoyed it. Great spot for large groups too as there were a few large parties sitting in the "outside" space. Hostess initially asked if we wanted to sit "inside" or "outside," and I was confused as it all looked like outside to me haha. I guess this is SoCal, everything is open air. This is a nice spot to have convo, very spacious, lots of nice tables, we sat at a high top. I love perching higher up, kinda of like a bird haha! Waitresses here were all very good, some very cute too (eye candy is always appreciated). Overall, a really fun way to spend a Sunday summer afternoon! I'll be back!

The restaurant is really loud when crowded and you can only talk to the person right next to you, but that worked ok in a group of 7 anyway--we just had multiple mini conversations. If you're planning a large group gathering, you might have to play musical chairs to catch up with everyone, unless everyone has naturally loud voices that carry. Most of the people in our group ordered beers, but I ordered a nonalcoholic prickly pear hibiscus ginger beer which was ok--pretty subtle, but it quenches the thirst all the same. I ordered the Farmer's burger (black bean) with added avocado and a side salad which comes with a lemon vinaigrette. I had to eat it with a knife and fork after removing the top bun. Very tasty. My daughter ordered crispy shrimp tacos which she really enjoyed. Most people ordered the backyard burger which looked pretty good--choice of fries or side salad. Freddy our server was friendly and helpful. Overall a good dining experience!

Since my train wasn't leaving until later, I decided to find a place to eat dinner and found Chief's Burgers, Brew & Spirits. Chief's was a cool place to chill out and grab a bite. The burger and fries entree, the quality customer service from Nora, and the vibe were memorable. What was irritating was hearing a customer show his Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) by talking out loud about his disdain for our President. You lost old dude, but I won by dining at Chief's. 4.5 stars! Chief's Burgers is located in Solana Beach specifically on Lomas Santa Fe Drive. It's conveniently a short walk across from the Amtrak train station and within the Solana Beach Plaza strip mall. The plaza has Solana Frosty and Solana Beach Fish House. There is plenty of parking. As you step inside Chief's, you'll quickly determine that it's a sports bar with plenty of televisions, sports memorabilia, basketballs hanging from the ceiling, and a variety of modes of travel also hanging as decor. It's a spacious restaurant with bar top seating, low table top, high table top, picnic benches, and outdoor seating. There are a lot of Native American statues, framed pics, and depictions throughout the restaurant. There's a whole section decorated for Denver Broncos fans. I liked seeing tributes to our local sports teams. The customer service from Nora was noteworthy and I appreciated her friendly demeanor. I asked Nora why the restaurant was named Chief's and why there was an homage to the Broncos. She kindly explained that the owners were Native American and that they came from Colorado. Prior to embarking on the train, I initially thought I'd eat dinner with my kids once I got into Los Angeles, but since my train wasn't leaving until 5:40pm and wouldn't arrive at Union Station until about 8pm, I decided to find a restaurant to eat dinner. I found Chief's really quick since it was across from the station and walked over to dine in. Chief's serves a diverse menu besides burgers, which includes sandwiches, sides, Mexican food, appetizers, wings, salads, sliders, soup and chili, rice bowls, and dessert. I honestly wasn't sure what I was in the mood for, but I ordered their Jalapeño Jack burger, which comes with a 1/2 lb all natural angus beef thick patty, fresh jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. All the burgers are served with french fries, salad, or coleslaw. Instead of fries, pay an additional $3 to substitute onion rings, sweet potato fries, frings, or potato salad. Unless I didn't hear Nora, I wasn't asked how I wanted my burger cooked. My burger came out well done, I liked that it was substantial, the toasted bun was a good vessel, the toppings were fresh, and I thought that was a delicious burger. I recommend that they season the patty a little more. I thought the fries stood out because they were crispy, golden brown, seasoned perfectly, and when dipped in mayo or ranch, they complemented the burger. For my first visit to Chief's, I really enjoyed my burger and fries. Next time I visit Chief's, I want to try their Philly Cheesesteak. Hanging out at Chief's before my first train ride made for a good start to my trip, but that old dude talking smack about our President made me wish the Trump Train made a stop, so it would drown out his crying.
