I've been wanting to stop by and try this place, so I finally did. It was not busy so I ordered right away, for the first timers like me, you order at the outside window before walking in to find a table. The aesthetic of the restaurant is great! Loved the vibe. They have a bar area as well so you could just walk in, sit at the bar and order there. It's a lot bigger than I expected it to be. They have seating area in the back patio as well with fire pits, so big groups of people can definitely enjoy eating here. The service was great and the restaurant is clean and has clean bathrooms. The burger isn't out of this world, it's typical beef burger, I do think for the price it's kinda average but the restaurant itself makes up for it.

Driving down the coast and we spotted HH on the side of the road. So glad we stopped. It looks like a little shack from the road, very deceiving. You walk up to the little window place your order and walk inside or outside to the back patio to wait for your food. Best part is they have a full bar, their signature cocktails are amazing, and they also have beer on tap! Food didn't take too long to come out despite it being a busy Sunday night: Burgers, fries and drinks were amazing! Will definitely be back again!

The producers are good, but I wish that they had a non-Hawaiian bun option. I prefer brioche buns.. I tried the wedge salad, and there was too much dressing on it. It will be better if they serve the dressing on the side. Ice selection of beers on tap. Service fast. Ambiance, cute Hawaiian vibe...

Wow this place is truly amazing! These burgers are insane! Soooo good the best we have had! We are from the South Bay and all the way drove here!! When I hear a burger place cooking in beef tallow, and no seed oils. I'm there. The quality of meat is absolutely amazing. My children loved it and not only that they have a full bar service which I think is super cool as well for adults this place is truly amazing and we are so blessed that we were able to eat here and will be one of our favorite spots for sure.

"Beachside Burger and Vibes" Was feeling in the mood for a burger and found this gem just off the I5. Nestled along the coast of San Diego, this burger spot feels like a local favorite. No bells or whistles, Hamburger Hut makes a solid smash burger with modest, but quality sides. The food came out fast and hot, the server hooked me up with all the sauces, and just sitting in the chill backyard area of the restaurant was a great experience. Come here if you want a good burger with high quality ingredients in a relaxed spot by the ocean. Best bite: Double smash burger everything on it.

Last Sunday we headed up to Lou's records to do some Christmas shopping. Afterwards we realized we missed lunch and were starving. Decided to pop into Hamburger Hut and were pleasantly surprised by the festive holiday decor. We ordered at the window outside and found a small table. The menu is small so it didn't take long to decide. The burgers arrived and were perfect. Nice Lacey crispy edges on buttered Hawaiian buns. Yum. The fries were ok. But the burger was so good! There is a small perking lot, but street parking is available too.

BEST atmosphere! Ben server is GREAT! Jeff bartender is THE BEST! Lots of sexxy sweeet single men on the prowl and oodles of sexxxy women ready to be bought a drink for! Great burgers and fries! So FAB we bought Hamburger Hut LOGO red t-shirts! Thanks gusy and gals!

DELICIOUS!! This was our first time here, and it was SO GOOD!! We made it in time for happy hour, with great deals on drinks. My husband had a hazy ipa, I had a glass of Prosecco. The staff was super nice and Santa was in the backyard! I had a single burger (insane, omg) and Tyler had a double burger. They were so tasty and fresh, on Hawaiian rolls. We also shared an order of fries. Loved the vibes here. Will absolutely be back. The patio is dog friendly, and we got our dog a puppy patty. He loved it!!

A very cool and cute hamburger stop with a lot of charm. I enjoyed the look and feel of the outside and interior. Burgers for the family and even a bar for the adults! You order via the outside window and you find a spot inside. They even have an extended back patio area so there's a lot of space. The service was fairly quick and we got our order within 10 minutes. The Double Hut was a really good classic cheesburger. The bun was nice and fluffy as well. My favorite part, was the charred/crisped texture of the smashed patties. Flavor-wise, it's just a classic solid burger all-round. They don't get too fancy with any sauces or extras. I added grilled onions to mine which was nice too.

Super good no frills burger shack with great drinks and a full bar. Order quick and easy at the front counter. We went at happy hour and got 2 for 1 drinks. The ambiance is very cool/funky and there's a large outdoor patio to hang out in. Unique and worth the stop for a great burger.

A new sneaky favorite spot - with best of both worlds with casual burger fare, delicious cocktails, and good vibes! Live music and a fast service makes it a fun spot for a group dinner. Burgers were delicious, loved that they had gluten free buns and the sauces were tasty.

Update. I don't remember which cocktail this was but it was great, might have been a space monkey? But the highlight was the "Jabba Fries". Skip the "animal style" an go for these instead. Burger patty, sauce, pickles, peppers. It's a whole days worth of calories, for me (especially if I add a mystery beverage!) and so worth it.

Ask the Community - Hamburger Hut

Does Hamburger Hut have a happy hour?

Every day 2:30-4:30 discounted draft beers and cocktails.

I was assuming because you're a burger place that just has burgers you'd have like an amazing house made veggie burger but I don't see that there is one. Am I missing it?

They have added the impossible patty to sub in for a beef patty! I'll post the updated menu :)

Does your restaurant accommodation for gluten-free (allergy)? Also do you have options for vegetarian?

There are gluten free/vegan buns as well as impossible patty's available for substitution. The buns are toasted in the same manner as the regular ones though, so for extreme celiac sensitivities, still a no go.

We love that they use local foods like Prager brothers bread and Little Fox ice cream! We had a fun time celebrating our friend's birthday there and would definitely recommend this place as a cute date spot too. On the flip side, I will say for every dish we got, even though we enjoyed them, there was always one spice that would overpower the balance of the dish. The flat bread with burrata had too much salt in the spice mix on the flatbread. The beef tartar was good but slightly strong with the mustard flavor on the beef. The crispy chicken was also a little too salty. The Muhammara dip though, no notes. It was so good! This could all be personal preference, and we did enjoy everything! Those were just small things I noted about the food. Pricing for everything was reasonable and we left feeling full, which is super important

I ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos and a house coffee. The coffee was actually pretty good! Cream and sugar were delivered separately to finish with your preference. As for the tacos, it was okay. The fish was a bit dry for my liking, cabbage could have been chopped with more finesse, and I wished they QC'd their limes a bit before putting them on the plate. Both were bone dry and I had to ask for more. Moreover, the cilantro lime rice was also a bit bland. It needed salt to lift the flavors in my opinion. There weren't even flecks of green if it was supposed to be cilantro? I tried boyfriend's veggie hash but was disappointed to find that it was almost all potatoes. Having said that, it was an extremely generous portion so he was filled up. While I didn't try it, our friend that had the chorizo hash also said it was okay so I'm guessing the ratio wasn't quite right. Anyways, ask for their chili sauce on the side, that's actually quite surprising. It had really good heat and was more like a chili crisp than a vinegary hot sauce. The plates that did score favorably at the table were the carne chilaquiles and the divorced eggs.

My 40th birthday was coming up so we made a reservation. First off, it was on Father's Day so it was super busy. No parking! We went down to golf course to park. They had live music which I love, but music choice was just terrible. It sounded like a rave. When I got to the other side of the patio facing the farm, I thought we would not hear it well. Sadly, you could and the music from the restaurant was also playing ("highway to hell"-not kidding!) it was super over stimulating and uncomfortable to say the least. The music died down eventually, but the sun was in our faces for hours. It was hard to look up and we all had to rotate sides to take turns being blinded. A nice see thru shade would have been so helpful. Our waiter was nice but overly chill. He didn't show much emotion or care that we were there. It also took a long time to order and get food. The restaurant wasn't crazy packed btw, it was the event at the grass that caused no parking. Lastly, the food. We had 3 kiddos but no kids meals available. A spaghetti was offered, but we are gluten free. We had to purchase a $40 tri tip to share. The salad I ordered tasted like salt and arugula only...A few peach pieces here and there and the dressing was some sort of cheese that tasted like saltwater. I'm not a picky eater, but this was disappointing. The tri tips were of good size, but just okay. Potatoes were just okay too. I was given a complementary apple donut dessert (which was kind) but tasted no bueno. The jojos ice cream on top was bomb but the chutney underneath was not good and the donut was dry. Overall, highly disappointed with the vibe, taste, and service! I feel like it's suited best for a couple and to come on a quieter night would have made it a better experience. You have no choice but to sit on patio with a party of 7. Will not return - sadly!! (Our $450 bill was also shocking!) one glass of wine ordered...sigh

I had called earlier that week inquiring about a corkage fee, as well as if there were any brunch drink/mimosa specials (like a bottle w juice type thing most brunch restaurants do on weekends). I was so discouraged by the hostess I almost cancelled my reservation. I purposely made sure to call at an "off time" so as to not be disruptive, and the best answer I got was "ummmm i think the corkage is $25." And to the mimosa question, "yeah I mean, we don't do bottomless but we have mimosas and I think we have a bottle special." So unhelpful- if she didn't know, she should confirm. I believe it was the same hostess when we dined, who, because we ended up seated right next to the dj (more minus points, who wants to be seated there, let alone when he is setting up, and while we made a reservation and were celebrating his birthday), moved us to outside at the front and we could see on her phone texting more than once. So, we sit. Taylor starts our order (very nice!), and we ask about drink specials, she cites of course we can have a bottle of mimosas. But there are no specials. So the bottle of prosecco is $63 plus $5 for orange juice. INSANE. But again, this is why I had called. Had the hostess shared there was nothing offered other than what was online, we coulda brought our own and paid corkage. Since we were led to believe otherwise, we had no alcohol and instead just had coffee. Cue Miles: he took over for Taylor almost immediately. He was AMAZING! So nice, so helpful, really accommodating and just the right amount of suggestions and check ins. Truly, amazing. As was the food. We had the ricotta, the french toast, and the Benedict. All were great. And great prices for the food too. The coffee came out lukewarm and had apparently been brewed quite awhile ago but Miles was happy to bring out fresh. I had put on the reservation that it was a birthday, and Taylor had asked if we were celebrating anything, and I told her it was my boyfriend's birthday, to which she eagerly explained they love celebrating birthdays at Waverly. Imagine my surprise when ultimately it was not again acknowledged or celebrated in any way. Perhaps because Miles took over for Taylor, but if it's on the reservation, you'd think I wouldn't have to address it again, much less multiple times. All in all, a very mixed review- there were some exceptional pieces of our experience (Miles, Taylor briefly, and the actual food), but there were a lot of misses too. Super disappointing that this was a birthday brunch because the misses really impacted the experience.
