Had such a great experience at Rosemarie's! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything felt so inviting. Justin was especially wonderful--he was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. You can tell he genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a great experience. Great service, great vibes, and I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Ambiance is nice and lots of seating provided. Ordering wait times need to be improved. We waited approximately 15 minutes at the counter. Recommend someone dedicated to the ordering counter during high peak times. The gent that took our order looked overwhelmed and flustered when he addressed the customers. The sliders we had were too oily. Tasty, but found ourselves thinking twice about what we ate afterwards. The Pick Two meal and wings were ordered. Wagyu was nicely cooked. Bombay was fine. When ordering wings, we asked for the Hickory Honey Dry Rub wings and then was asked what flavor sauce and chose Mango Habanero. I noticed something was wrong with total when I paid but didn't address. Then when wings were brought out we were provided the Hickory Honey Dry Rub in Mango Habanero flavor and second wings (not ordered but charged for) Caesar's Famous Mango Habanero. Note next time verify order before paying. Thanks!

The sliders are a pretty hefty portion! The bun looks small but the meat is definitely filling. We got the soft shell crab one and their award winning. The award winning slider won for a reason! It's such a classic burger. The soft shell crab tasted extremely fresh and light. We also got elote fries which were very much on the spicier side! It didn't really taste like elote and there wasn't as much corn but it was a solid amount of food. I like the 2 for $18 deal on the sliders as well. This spot doesn't have their liquor license yet so no alcohol, btw! It's a great place for families as there is a small play area. Plenty of outdoor seating all around and it wasn't too busy. There were at least 4 picnic tables wide open. The service is really fast and the people are nice. The first time we tried rosemarie's at their first location, we got the Hawaiian one and it was way too saucy. We're glad we decided to try it out again. Will be back!

Super awesome place to go with the kiddos. It's a family friendly restaurant with a great outdoor patio area for the kids to play before or after eating. The burgers were great! Sliders on a nice brioche bun. They were maybe a tad too oily for me but overall delicious. I think the only drawback was the fries. It has so much potential but it was undercooked which made the blue cheese bacon fries a bit lackluster. Brussels sprouts were good but not to die for. Overall we'd come back for a bite again!

I was up in the Encinitas area and decided to give Rosemarie's a shot. I ordered the Classic, the Nashville Hot Chicken and Brussel Sprouts. I probably should have ordered a 3rd sandwich as this were sliders and were kinda small. But, I did order the brussels sprouts and they were plentiful. The 2 sliders were good but not great. Like I said, I think a third slider would have put me over the top. The vibe of the restaurant was pretty nice and had a small town feel to it that I liked. When I'm up here again I'll definitely try 3 different sliders.

Such a cute new spot! Rosemarie's was the perfect find for our book club. We sat in the back and loved how spacious it felt. The sliders were delicious and definitely the highlight! They don't have their liquor license for beer yet, but I was happy with my iced tea for now. Kane was so sweet and welcoming. He even brought our food out to us after we ordered at the counter. It got a bit chilly in the back, so bring a sweater until they get some heat lamps! Can't wait to come back for a round of drinks once the bar is fully open.

This interesting spot shares building space with Gelati $ Peccati (and if you haven't had the latter's pizza, go there now--right now--and get some. It is terrific). Rosemarie's is all about sliders and they are done nicely. For a hefty $18 (at this writing), you get two good-sized sliders. I suppose two of these sliders probably equals one burger. Inflation is crazy these days but I suppose $18 is about right for a burger, currently. The nice part is you get to pick two sliders from about 10 or more different slider creations. You can get a very nice "normal" type burger or something very different like the soft shell crab one. For you soft shell crab fans out there, this slider is excellent. It was nicely cooked and had a heap of coleslaw on top. Don't be put off by how the crab looks. You can eat the whole thing. The RosieMac is supposedly made with wagyu. It is a nice burger but mine was a bit overcooked which sort of kills the flavor and the juiciness factor. They don't ask you how you want them cooked so I guess you get 'em how they want you to get 'em. The Round Up is like a Western bacon cheeseburger with an onion ring. This one had a lot more flavor than the Rosiemac. The Classic was fine. The fries are heavily seasoned and are very good. You get a ton of them so two or three people can easily share them. The housemade ranch was weird and not strongly flavored. Just use the stuff from the grocery store, guys. No booze at this location just yet although their menu suggests booze will be coming. I would probably return to try some of their other sliders.

We got a great referral from our daughter in law. This place is a great little wonder off the main drag in Encinitas. Great service. Freak food. The sliders are amazing. Loved the fries and onion rings. Highly recommend a quick bite here. Plan ahead though parking is tough on the weekends.

Absolutely the best sliders! Perfect business model to make the burgers small so you can try two! Great choices in the menu, outstanding quality in the and flavors! So, I just learned today, while Rosemaries's waits on their beer and wine permit, if you place your order they will bring it across the street to you at Culture Brewing. How amazing! So good! My boyfriend and I were spending the day up in Encinitas and happened upon this place when we were walking around looking for lunch. I love that you can mix and match the sliders because it is always hard for me to decide on just one. Between my boyfriend and I we had the Little Sal, The Gnar, Captain Jack, and Cajun Softshell Crab. They were all insanely delicious. Being from Maryland, we both especially enjoyed the Old Bay slaw on the crab slider. We also tried the Elote Fries which I would definitely order again. The owner happened to be there the day we went and was raving about their wings so he gave us some to try on the house, they were great! He also came by our table later to check on us. Service and food 10/10. Happy to see there are also locations in mission and ocean beach so we can go more often.

When you get older, anything new opening has the unfortunate distinction of being compared to a growing lifetime of both fantastic experiences and opinionated nostalgia. So, while I believe Rosemarie's Buns and Brews is both very delicious and worthy of repeat visits, I also can't get the fact that it is haunting the shell of what was once a popular and beloved Angelo's Burgers. With that shadow in my mind, I still have to say that the burgers here are pretty fantastic. The menu is extensive, with an impressive range of proteins from the standard Wagyu to a triple decker fried eggplant to an entire soft shell crab on a grilled bun. Not only is there something for everyone, but there are items to help push the boundaries of what a delicious slider can be. I started with "The Award Winning Rosiemac", a simple slider with a Wagyu patty, cheese, mayo, and onion confit. It was messy, salty, and very delicious. The meat was cooked well, a flavorful outer crust while staying juicy throughout. The onions were soft and sweet. That cheese had melted to the point of being perfectly gooey. And the sauce was a nice mixture that brought a great salty and umami taste and brought it all together. I paired it with The Captain Jack, a slider piled tall with three large grilled shrimp, each plump and juicy with a great bite to them. The pickled cabbage was slightly sweet and tangy. The whole of it was slightly smokey, fresh tasting, with a nice texture that popped in the mouth with every bite. Also on our table were a serving of their Beer-Battered Onion Rings, which were a pretty standard version of this side. Some Red Chili Pork Fries, which would not have been my first choice when ordering loaded fries, and this did little to change my mind. And a serving of their Big Ole'classic Fries which helped showcase how good their ranch and aioli sauces could be. As for the rest of my clan, the wife had the Double Rosiemac, which she simply thought was 'okay'. My son ate The Gnar, a fried chicken thigh marinated in Teriyaki sauce with slices of pineapple, which he enjoyed quite a bit. And he also had the Nashville Hot Chicken, which proved too spicy for him. I had the pleasure of eating the rest and while I found the flavor a bit bland, the chicken itself was perfectly fried; juicy on the inside, with a crust reminiscent of a flakey and crispy Karaage-style breading, that was fantastic on a sandwich. And my daughter had the Kids Chicken Poppers Meal, which she only ate a little bit of, but I personally really liked. The chicken was ground, mixed to the point where the interior of each popper felt light and airy when chewing through the well fried crust. Not only were they pretty good, but they also reheated well the next day. All in all, we had a very impressive dinner here. Not everyone was thrilled with their food, but I liked everything enough to want to come back. And with options like a blue cheese chicken sandwich, a burger with bacon whiskey sauce, and those tantalizing eggplant or soft shell crab sliders still yet to try, I can easily see myself driving back down to Encinitas to try again. I'm just going to have to go to Oceanside first to visit the Angelos there for a burger.

First time customers here. Cute place on main strip, there's an indoor, and outdoor seating area. Justin welcomed us and gave us a walk through of their menu and suggestions. He was super friendly and provided great service. We ended up getting the Rosie Mac which was juicy and delicious, the Luau was so different with the pineapple and teriyaki sauce, our taste buds were going crazy with flavor, and we also got the little Munchie, the chicken was super crispy and sauced to perfection with plenty of bleu cheese, definitely one of the best buffalo chicken sandwiches. The slider size was perfect for me. My husband and I cut the sliders in half and it was just the right amount of food along with an order of crispy seasoned fries and an order of delicious onion rings. Young lady at the front was also very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, no pictures because we were too hungry. read more

We came here on a Friday night and the food was SO GOOD. Elite fries were incredible. The sliders were amazing. My hubby and I shared and I only had room to eat the regular slider and that was perfection. My hubby had the Nashville chicken and that had some heat. Love this place. Great outdoor space for dog moms and dads who want to eat with their fur baby. Got my pup a burger patty that he thoroughly enjoyed. Ordered 4 sliders (bbq, luau, rosemaries, Nash chicken). Got them all with the mayo and special sauce on the side. Glad I did because the sliders are so flavorful it is not needed. Not quite sure why people are saying the fried chicken is greasy. I'm a huge foodie and loved the crunch and flavor. It was the perfect size for a slider. My fave was the luau with the juicy pineapple. The burger is a big portion not your typical thin McDonald style patty. 2 is filling especially if you have a side like fries or rings. I got the rings and they were crunchy and tasty with a huge portion for possibly 3 or 4 people. Ended with the churros that were crunchy came with 2 dipping sauces and vanilla ice cream that is a great get. Food came fast and service was friendly. Great music vibes outdoors. I came to this spot for the first time in Encinitas and I think this is definitely my new favorite spot in town. Not only did I love the food, but the staff was phenomenal, attentive but also just so personable, they want to know your name, talk to you about the food, check in often. I also love that they have inside seating and an outdoor courtyard. The fooood though. I see why they are so well known. The Rosie Mac burger was incredible, one of the best I've had. The soft shell crab isn't something I'd normally eat but this was actually one of my favorite selections. I also tried the little sals which had a perfect combo of salty and sweet, the chef said it was made with maple bacon bourbon whiskey sauce that takes hours to make! The Nashville chicken was HOT but also delicious, just make sure you can handle spice. This is made with duck fat which I found so unique. We also tried their duck fat wings since we wanted a little of everything, honey buffalo was my favorite followed by the teriyaki. The spicy elote fries are a perfectttt appetizer. Really really good. And then last but not least we had their churros that come with ice cream and Mexican caramel made with slow cooked goats milk! Stopped by tonight for the first time. Great service. The manager (didn't catch his name but was a mariners fan) went above and beyond for our family. I was so excited to try Rosemarie's. I have seen it featured on a couple different San Diego burger social media videos. It always looks great. Not sure if the the Encinitas location is just not up to snuff, if it was a bad night or my expectations were too high. I was hugely disappointed. TLDR: Dont go here for "brews" (there are none) or "buns" (not great, greasy and dense). The Good: Fries and Onion rings were absolutely fantastic. Although a fast food type setup, every staff member we interacted with was friendly and competent. The Bad: There are no "brews". Huh? My wife and I each chose the 2 slider combo, both of us selecting the Classic and the Little Sal. Both burgers were greasy butter bombs. The Little Sal only tasted like maple syrup, it was just gross, left half of it behind. The classic did have that homemade burger taste which is nice. Sadly the texture of all the patties, while not tough was dense. The dense greasy just wasnt my jam. Its not the worst meal I have ever had or anything like that, but based on this visit I am truly shocked by the reputation they have of being a top burger in SD. read more

Man oh man, I'm really excited this place is here. I've seen the buzz for the locations down south but we've never been able to make it. I saw they're now here in Enci, and had to try last night. Not only is the food great, but they're adding a great vibe with outside patio, corn hole and good service. Great for the kids. Went for quick lunch as big lines elsewhere. Service was functional only. Brews weren't on yet but could take your food to a bar across the road??? The indoor seating design felt a bit awkward to get comfortable at but looked like big beer garden (for when they have beer). Food was tasty but is sliders, which I guess is supposed to be a differentiator, but you only get one, and yes while you could order 2 they could probably do a better job in packaging these up on the menu, and setting expectations and this is where the service would come in...otherwise didn't feel satisfied and was left wishing could just have ability to order normal sized version of what I had. read more

This spot just opened and it is an incredible addition to the area. The sliders are absolutely delicious - we got the classic, little Sal, and the little munchies. We also got the wings, which had an incredible sauce. They have a spacious outdoor sitting area that is perfect for littles. Here is what I really like: Compared to other popular local burger spots, they did two things to stand out: 1) the menu is more extensive. It is just one choice of burger but maybe 10 and the variety goes from beef to fish to hot chicken and even vegetable options. 2) their burgers are smaller than burgers but bigger than sliders. They are priced $17 for two, which is about right, and you can mix and match so you can try two totally different things. The sides were great. We had fries and onion rings. When I went they were finalizing their beer and wine license so they couldn't serve yet. There shall indoor seating areas and seating in the breezeway. The staff were great. Fun spot right in downtown where Angelo's used to be. My only criticism is they didn't put much into the remodel so it isn't fancy inside. That fits the vibe though and the pair of burgers would have cost more if the tables were refreshed. Go here to enjoy being in the middle of downtown Encinitas and to get variety instead of one bigger burger. We will be back. read more

Rosemarie's Buns & Brew has quickly become one of my go-to spots in Encinitas. Their burgers and chicken sandwiches are consistently excellent, cooked right, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care. The real standout for me is the Little Munchies buffalo sauce, which is easily top 3 sauces I've ever had. I'd come back for that alone. Beyond the food, the staff is always incredible and genuinely friendly, which makes a huge difference. Big shoutout to Macy, Sophie, and especially Kat. It just seems nickel and dimey, and would be asking to an ice cream place not allowing one to sample their ice creams before buying a cone. I hope management reconsiders this policy. 2. My wife got the Hot Mess Fries and was disappointed not only in the flavor, but also in the misleading advertising. On the menu it specifically said that there was bacon in the fries, but in fact what they put on the fries was either chunks of ham or "Canadian bacon" (which as we all know is a very different thing from "bacon"). If they were or of regular bacon, the kitchen should have told the server this so he could have asked her if she wanted ham as a substitute. And, of they always use ham instead of bacon, them the menu needs to be changed to reflect that.

It was one of those flavors that I think everyone would enjoy if they tried it. My friend had the lechon sisig which I tried and thought was also good. I also tried the lychee beer which was super delicious and did not taste beer-like or alcoholic at all. It was more like a sweet treat to enjoy. This restaurant is tucked away. I remember walking in a little later on a weekday with a friend and the restaurant was completely empty except 3 other people. I hope they get more business (if they haven't already) because their food is great and it was easy to find parking I am looking forward to coming here again and trying new dishes.
