This is such an awesome park. There are two sections for big dogs and smaller dogs to run around and play with a fence in between. There are balls and small toys for the dogs to play with while they are there. It's kept very clean by the city which is great! It's a pretty small park, and we arrived right after some rain, so it was pretty muddy. But there is plenty of parking and covered seating, enough poop bag stations, and the other dogs and dog parents were friendly and behaved themselves. Though this place is a little smaller than other parks, it definitely has it's regulars here. I enjoy coming from time to time as it's closer to home. It's separated into a big and small dog area like everywhere else. Nothing really special in the parks itself. It's an open grass area, there's some tables to sit, and water fountains. It does tend to get muddy, and every so often, there's dog feces that people don't pick up. Rosemeade Dog Park is the newest dog park in the Carrollton-West Plano area - having opened on July 24. This long overdue park is adjacent to the Rosemeade Rec Center and near the Rosemeade Rainforest Complex, making the most of a previously unutilized grassy area closest to Rosemeade Parkway. The park itself is divided into two main areas based on dog size. Amenities include dog-friendly water fountains, leash corral area, wash down area, benches and tables, a shade awning (that covers both areas), and a limited number of natural shade areas. Parking is ample and access is easy from Rosemeade Parkway. While not as large as the Railroad dog park in Lewisville or as multifaceted as North Bark dog park, this is a solid addition to the dog park options in the area. read more

We live very nearby, so this is our regular dog park when we don't feel like making it all the way up to Lewisville to go to the huge railroad park. We really like this park, and have had very few bad experiences here. It's big enough for the dogs to get running and work out the energy, but small enough that it sort of makes the dogs socialize a bit, which is great for my anti-social dog. We've run into a few overly aggressive dogs and owners that don't react accordingly, but that's not any fault of the park. You'll have those dogs and owners at any dog park, and it doesn't happen often here at all! All in all it's a great option for those of us in Carrollton! read more

I brought my dog here today. Never knew this place existed, but I enjoyed my visit. The reviews were accurate when they said the place picks up after 7. So many dogs ! The large dog area stays pretty busy, but the small dog area seemed to pick up too today. I was a little disappointed to see that a lot of small dog owners chose to take their dogs to the large dog area. ( I wanted to pet the Corgi), but it seems that this dog park separates dogs by personality rather than size. So there were a lot of small dogs in the large area, and a lot of poodles in the small dog area. Lol Otherwise this place is fun! I have to give it a 5/5 . The dog owners are a lot friendlier here and less overprotective then I've seen at other parks. They don't mind a little growl or bark here. The city needs to provide pooper scoopers (metallic scrapers and scoopers with handles) like the dog parks in Lewisville, Dallas or Plano. That way, any visitor can feel more comfortable picking up behind less responsible owners. I've seen far too many visitors who don't pick up after their dogs. It's a decent dog park that gets pretty busy on evenings around 7pm during summer if you want to go during peak times. There's two divided sections for big dogs and small dogs in which small dogs section is significantly smaller than the big dog's. Both sections have grass throughout and the small section has a slight slope while big section is flat all the way. There are more shaded areas with trees in the big dog section but the water fountain hasn't been working very well there which they really need to fix ASAP. What I noticed that's different in the atmosphere of this park compared to others is that more people bring their small/med-awk sized dogs to the big dog section and like to stay towards the back. The frisco dog park seems more clean and is big compared to this one but I see a lot of dogs here since its conveniently located in middle of city. read more

For the most part the owners are really nice as are the dogs. You'll run into a few "know-it-all" owners but I noticed they usually come around 7pm. Owners(some not all) never clean up after their dogs I've had to clean up multiple dog waste just so my dog could have a decent area to run around. Overall nice big park with nice friendly dogs and owners. read more

The park is great, the other dog owners are not. Too many irresponsible dog owners bringing their aggressive dogs. The owners that come to this park are regulars who visit every night. We used to visit on the regular but every single time another dog would either attack me, my child, or my dog. It got the point I wouldn't bring my children anymore and now, after another dog attack with another irresponsible dog owner, I'm not even going to bring my dog. It's just not worth it. read more

The park is good sized and has 2 separate areas for both big and small dogs, which is great. Lots of shaded areas for the owners to sit while the pups play, but the only down-side is that they have a "wash-down" area INSIDE the park (not sectioned off, like it should be). This area does not have a cemented floor, so it becomes a MUD hole very quickly. So, if you are not keeping a close eye on your pooch, you could have a VERY muddy mess on your hands. VERY annoying! But otherwise, it's a nice park, and we haven't had any issues with aggressive dogs. read more

We love this dog park and visit it frequently. Lots of great dogs and great people. The people appreciate the picnic tables, the smooth-rock seats, the park benches and the shade structure. Excellent dog park. It had some issues at first, but the City of Carrollton has taken steps to improve it. Animal Control stops by often to ensure that people comply with the rules. On weekdays, you'll find dedicated dog owners; weekends are for the "tourist" crowd. read more

The Park doesn't have much personality. Whenever I go my dog seems to encounter aggressive dogs and unfortunately the owners don't seem to be very friendly. The land is hilly bumpy and lumpy and it seems to be an accident waiting to happen. The place isn't that bad if you happen to go alone or if there is one other dog otherwise it's easily crowded and uncomfortable. I would not suggest anyone go there but if you do I'd advise you to make it a short trip and bring your dog's water dish with you. read more

Nice park. Recently they got new poop scoops to help pick up after pups. I like because it is close to home. No fifth star not because it is a bad place, but because of a few irresponsible dog owners. This park is super close to where I live, so I only bring my pup when she needs to run loose a bit and I don't have that much free time. There is a great group of people who come through that are friendly, and regular visitors but there are a few really rude ones as well. One lady accused my dog of "going after her dog" and she punished my dog without even confronting me or anyone else to tell the owner. She acted like she wanted a fight without questions. She was an older lady. Her dogs were small and older and my young dog wanted to play with them, but hers weren't interested and snarled at her. My dog did not attack hers. I have also had someone tell me my dog was being too disruptive because she was running and barking with a couple other pups. That's what the pro is for--to let your pups run and bark freely! A lot of owners do not pick up after their pups and in the small dog area it's extremely annoying because the area is so enclosed. There should be a no smoking sign, too. The large dog section seems to stay muddy. I personally prefer to drive the extra time to the Hound Pound in Flower Mound where there's room to roam and the people seem much more friendly. The only thing I like about Rosemeade Dog Park is the convenience that I could walk to it. read more
