This little restaurant is near Bloomingdale's on the first floor of the Aventura Mall. It is open and not enclosed. This can be a good or bad thing. There were a lot of people walking by the day I ate here since it was on the weekend. This place gives off a French atmosphere, as it should. My server was a bit standoffish. I didn't order much so maybe that is why. I saw abovado toast on the menu and decided on that. I enjoyed it. The avocado was fresh. They sure gave a lot of it. I really didn't want to post this... I walked into this place excited to support them after seeing their pastries and even called a friend to show her how good everything looked. But after the staff finished helping others, I was completely ignored. I said hello multiple times, and even after someone said they would get help for me, no one came. I walked out feeling disappointed and honestly uncomfortable. No one should walk into a business ready to support and leave feeling unseen. Do better. Every customer deserves to be acknowledged. Bought a cortadito ( gave us cappuccino with overflow milk ) and cappuccino with oatmilk - but server was soo rude didnt acknowledge us when asked if this was with oatmilk due to allergy. Then said we couldn't sit at one of their chairs bc we didnt ask for here but to go. Place was empty so no need for the waiter to say we cant sit there. Terrible service and people. The servers barely acknowledged us. I wanted to enjoy my cappuccino with the dessert and it arrived much later. A very delicious spot inside of Aventura Mall! Of course, it's on the pricier side because of location. But the quality truly is good. I tried the quiche and it was perfectly flaky with a nice texture inside. I also got the pistachio croissant, and it was nutty and creamy. I loved it! I want to try the desserts next. I think it's the best bakery inside of the mall. Though you do have to walk a bit to find, but it's much better than the bakery right at the entrance by the Apple Store. This was a nice spot to try out the viral beautiful desserts. They had many options to pick from and the attendant told me hat was on each. There were labels on each as well with the ingredients. I think booted the orange very much while the rose wasn't my preference. I had a guava cream danish that was beyond satisfying. I swear this place will bug your back if you're not careful, however we only love once so eat everything while you can in moderation of course. The staff was nice and they have seating that they'll show you to if you'd like to dine there. Highly recommend. read more

I love Bachour, in fact I go to their cafe location in Coral Gables minimum once every other month to have breakfast or brunch. I think their food is pretty consistent, good quality and reasonable price. However, when it comes to their pastries, I have no luck. I think their pastries are 5 stars visually speaking but at best 3 stars in flavor or execution. They taste just sweet and lack flavors. I understand taste is subjective and changes from person to person, but this is my experience. During my visit to their pop-up Masse location at Aventura mall, I had their macaroon and they were not the best, just sweet, lacking flavors or texture. A good macaroon has a softer texture, this was grainier. And the filling barely had flavor. I haven't had their croissants yet, next time I will try them, maybe I'm luckier this time :) read more

This was a perfect stop for a coffee break. We were shopping at the aventura mall which is an adventure by itself and i needed something or somewhere to relax for a bit. We found this little coffee shop in the middle of the first floor. The service was great and the food delicious. I had a vanilla iced latte with a ham n cheese croissant. The croissant was lightly toasted and buttery. They also have this beautiful viral dessert. We decided to try the rose kinda looks like something else but it was delightful. We arrived at Aventura mall around 3pm. I had honestly expected that they would be sold out of everything but they still had quite a few of these delicious desserts available. We ordered and were seated and the desserts were brought over to our table. We opted for raspberry, orange, rose, cherry and a mini cheesecake. I don't know what these desserts are filled with but each one is different in the center. My favorite was the orange one. The outer shell may have been a white chocolate decorated beautifully to look like an orange. But the inside was light, creamy and fresh tasting. It took two bites to get to the filling in the center which was an orange flavored jelly-like texture or orange marmalade-like filling. Overall it wasn't too sweet and tasted fantastic to me. They were all very good. The rose was my second fave. It tasted like a mild almond flavor but there was also maybe a pistachio filling as well. The outside had a thin crisp shell and the inside was soft and creamy and decadent. Everyone thought we were eating ice cream but this wasn't ice cream. I believe though that they are all very different in the center. The cherry one was filled with a chocolate truffle-like or mousse-like with a cherry center. These are PRICEY!!! Each one was $15 but we drove ALL THE WAY TO AVENTURA from West Broward just to try these so we were aware of price and knew in advance which ones we wanted to try. Sadly, they didn't have the mango or blueberry ones. We wanted Mango, blueberry, orange, raspberry, and the rose. We got 3 of the 5 we wanted and they didn't disappoint. I do plan to taste that blueberry one before I move out of south Florida because I'm relocating to a smaller town soon and I know this dessert won't be an option there. I'm glad I finally got to taste them and hopefully it won't be the last time before I leave in a few months. read more

So happy this place opened! It's not super expensive for location. The croissants are under $10 and the fancier desserts are about $14-$15. They serve wine, coffee and other great drinks. The food and drinks here are amazing, no doubt about that. We enjoyed our brunch so much that we literally came back the very next day. The first visit was a party of 3, and because the food and drinks were that good, we returned with a party of 6. Unfortunately, the service on our second visit completely ruined the experience. Our server, Alex (possibly ID or table #36), was extremely judgmental from the moment we sat down. Half of our group ordered lunch, and the other half ordered pastries. We may look young, but that should never determine the level of service a table receives--especially when the restaurant already adds an automatic 18% gratuity regardless of party size. From the start, Alex acted as if we weren't worth his time. When we were leaving, I had an untouched strawberry croissant still on the table and a practically full beverage, and he never once offered a container or a cup to take either of them to go. I had to walk to the bar area twice on two separate occasions to ask for a cup and a container. During both interactions, I was not asked if I needed anything else. While approaching the bar, Alex and another coworker clearly saw me coming but didn't acknowledge me--it was actually another server who noticed and pointed out that I was waiting. Even then, there was no apology or courtesy. When leaving, I said "have a good day" and received no response. When it came time to pay, I'm fully aware that 18% was already included. However, when the screen prompted for an additional tip, Alex simply said "just sign," not even giving me the opportunity to add more--again assuming, because we look young, that we wouldn't. I also noticed that he only listed our table as a party of 3, even though we were clearly 6. For this level of service, I still paid $169, which makes the experience even more disappointing. I work in the service industry myself, and this is not how paying guests should be treated. The food is excellent, but service matters. Being judged based on age or appearance makes me seriously question whether I'd want to spend my money here again. This was honestly one of the most disrespectful experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. I bought food from Masse -- I paid -- and sat down at one of their tables. The waitress came over with the worst attitude, rude and unprofessional, and told me I couldn't sit there and had to move to the bar -- which was completely full. Her tone and behavior were beyond unacceptable. I felt humiliated and discriminated against for absolutely no reason. To make things worse, the cook was on his phone while handling food and not even wearing gloves. That's not just gross -- it's a health hazard. Never going back. We love Bachour restaurants, I literally surprise my wife by brining the bakery items home as we live in Las Olas and I go to coral gables to get them for her. But stopped by here while shopping and had horrible service from non speaking English speakers and the pastries were not as good as the other three locations. Save yourself the time and go to the others as this is not up to par. read more

Being one of the original customers and big fan of Bachour Coral Gables, now that Masse opened in AVentura nearby my home, my husband and i were elated! Weve been there about 8 times since it opened and it usually a disappointment. They don't have many of the menu items available, food is not of the same caliber, can't get all of his pastry assortment at Masse, never seen the Almond Financier in stock. It's probably fine for customers who have never experienced the original. read more
