    Hot Honey Cubano (Spicy)
    Chiara H.

This is one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. I had the hot honey Cubano, and it was perfect. The quality of the meat was amazing and it had the right amount of mustard in the right amount of tangy with the hot honey. I cannot wait to eat the sandwich again! And the vibe of the whole place is so cute and so chill.

Limited menu, but I view that as a good thing. It's essentially variants of Cuban sandwiches with the pressed bread and something in the middle. The simplicity works here. "The Classic" Cubano: The benefit of specialization is that they can execute so well. This was powered by some really delicious and nicely marinated roast pork. The portions of roast pork, ham and cheese were just right so no one overpowered the other. Also, they got the mustard and pickles right too, to give a a good tang. I liked that the bread was stiff soft, but also crunchy on the edges. Really the perfect specimen. Medianoche: Honestly, I didn't taste much of a difference compared to the classic Cubano. The bread look different, but didn't necessarily taste any sweeter to me. That being said, it was still super delicious since it's a winning formula. Jamón y Queso: A slimmed down permutation of the Cuban sandwich for breakfast. Just ham, cheese and mayo on the toasted bread. It actually works of breakfast since the pulled pork, mustard and pickles would be a bit much first thing in the morning. Pan con Timba: Now this was sweet! Those big slices of guava paste was excellent. Nice pairing of mild white cheese, melt beside to offset the sweetness. Toasty bread. This sure beats any toast with jam snack! Cortadito: Got this as I waited for my sandwich. I had it with sugar, of course. Perfect jolt and strong espresso and cream. Cafe con Leche: A classic. Creamy, sweet and a nice jolt of strong espresso. While the cortadito is nice, this is definitely my favorite. Always reminds me that I'm in Miami Beach. Iced Café Bombón: This is something Starbucks wishes they could be. It's like a Miami Frappuccino with dulce de leche milk and a generous dulce de leche drizzle. Plus lots of strong espresso to give a nice bitter contrast. For me, with my sweet tooth, this was the perfect afternoon treat. Colada: Kinda like an espresso, but sweeter and smooth. A nice jolt of caffeine to get your day going!

My first time trying a cubano and it was delicious and satisfying! The mojo pork was so tender and flavorful, the cheese melted perfectly, and had just the right amount tang from the mustard. I don't like pickles so I ordered it without them. I wish the sandwich was a bit bigger for the price, but definitely worth it. My brother loves cubanos and was jealous. He said it looked much better than the cubano he ordered from Jimmy John's the day before. The restaurant is small and doesn't really have much seating, so I recommend it for takeout. Eating it on the beach was such a vibe!

A cuban sandwich shop in the heart of Miami Beach. We truly stumbled upon this spot when I needed a quick bite to eat before an event and after trying to find parking in the area, we saw Cubaton! Specializing in cuban sandwiches, their selection is small but mighty. They have a few varieties of cuban sandwiches and we ended up picking the original hot honey cubano, which was recommended. The shop itself is small with just a counter by the front and some outdoor seating to dine at. The decor was cute and menu was easy to peruse. The staff was super welcoming and friendly as soon as you walk in! Our food was ready in no time and we decided to eat it to-go but ate it in the car and... this sandwich fresh was AMAZING. It came with a little bag of potato sticks, which I would have loved to come on the inside, but we added it in so love that it's basically customizable. The sandwich was pressed and warm with the cheese oozing out as soon as you separated the cut pieces. The flavor was both sweet and spicy (my favorite) with the hot honey and jalapeno. We finished the sandwich within minutes! Definitely a great spot to grab a cuban sandwich. I don't travel to Miami Beach often but might have to make a trip to grab another sandwich!

medianoche: slow-roasted mojo pork, hardwood-smoked ham, melted swiss cheese, dill pickle, mustard + mayo on medianoche bread = $12.95

Cubatón is a sweet little sandwich shop perfect for a midday pick-me-up. We ordered both the Medianoche ($12.95) and "the classic" Cubano ($12.95) which are virtually the same sandwich but on different bread. Both sandwiches come with slow-roasted mojo pork, hardwood-smoked ham, melted cheese, dill pickle, mustard + mayo. I liked that the sandwich was tightly packed like a panini. That way you get a little bit of everything with each bite. Sandwiches were great, but the café con leche ($4.50) was absolute fire. The coffee was so rich and aromatic and unlike anything I've ever tasted before. A sandwich and coffee is the perfect midday treat. Come here for the sandwiches and grab yourself a coffee while you're at it.

Get the coffee. Taste almost like a Vietnamese coffee. Really good

I been to many Cuban sandwich shops. And this is my top 2-3 for sure. Love the bread. Nice and thin. Flavor is good. Pork is not dry at all like some places. Next time I will ask for it to be extra crispy Cafe bombon surprised me. So good almost like a Vietnamese coffee. If you enjoy a sweet coffee don't sleep on this one

Honestly this is just a solid no-frills Cuban sandwich place. The menu isn't all that complicated with a decent number of sandwiches, and I got the hot honey which admittedly can dominate in terms of the flavor, but not necessarily in an unpleasant way. The food was served very quick, also with a side of those thin fry chips, which was a nice touch, and it overall made for a great quick, hearty meal. I definitely would come here again any time I'm looking for a solid easy meal in South Beach. TIP: Can't go wrong with any Cuban sandwich.

A sandwich shop slinging some of the best cuban food you can imagine in Miami beach. The employees were pleasant and we sat right outside their shop to eat. We ordered a hot honey cuban to share and we both came away wishing we had this shop right next to our house with how fantastic it was. The hot honey wasn't overpowering and there was still plenty of pork/ham/mustard flavor to go-around. I loved Cubaton and I'm sad we head home tomorrow or else I'd be coming back to grab another sandwich! Truly a legendary Cuban sandwich experience.

Cute little sandwich place about a block away from the beach. You don't need to spend a fortune to get good quality food then take it to the beach for lunch. Nice friendly staff and explained what's good and popular. I got their classic Cuban sandwich. It was hot pressed bread, ham, cheese and all the condiments. I also got their iced cafe bombon drink. It reminded me and similar to Vietnamese coffee. I took it to the beach and ate it watching the waves! Inexpensive yet delicious lunch with spectacular view.

So happy we found Cubaton! Probably the best Cuban sandwiches we've had in Miami, definitely in Miami Beach. Everyone that was eating at Cubatón seemed genuinely happy with their sandwich. It was a good mix of locals and in the know tourists. The space is small, but that doesn't matter. Go get a Cuban (or Jamon & Cheese) sandwich, and enjoy!

If you're spending a day at the beach, start off by getting Cubanos and cafecitos to picnic there! The iced café bombón was a delicious treat that was sweet and creamy with the perfect amount of caffeine. We came back a couple times during our recent vacation. The staff were friendly the shop was clean. If you're a Pitbull fan, you've gotta check out their bathroom! The Cubanos were excellent lounging on the beach. The day we left, my husband grabbed a pan con timba and coffee back to the hotel room and it was the perfect goodbye to Miami Beach. Cubatón is a must next time we are in the area.

Excellent Cubano sandwich. The pork mixture is tasty with spot on spices. The Turkey Cubano is also great and they have a Vegan option in the Veggie sandwich if you leave off the cheese. Service is friendly and fast.

Located a couple of blocks off a major road (Washington Ave.), Las Olas Cafe felt like a hole-in-the wall neighborhood joint - a team of off-duty police officers were enjoying their dinner inside the restaurant, and families were eagerly lined up at the to-go window outside the restaurant. As I waited in line to order, I perused the menu, which included breakfast items, coffee, and a variety of sandwiches. Even though there were only a couple of customers ahead of me in line, each meal was made-to-order before the next order was taken. This meant that the staff prepared about half a dozen coffees, a couple of smoothies, and several meals before it was my turn to order. When I finally placed my order for a Cubano sandwich, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be prepared. My sandwich was served piping hot, and I eagerly took my food to go so I could enjoy it at the beach nearby. Despite the wait (about an hour from the time I arrived at the cafe despite the short line), my food was delicious. The sandwich was stuffed with crispy shredded pork and ham, and a generous amount of mustard, melted cheese, and pickles pulled it all together.
