The corn risotto was the PERFECT dish. I've never had a risotto quite like it. Patio had a bad smell next to the street and service was a little overbearing. It felt like they were watching every move...but the food was delicious.
Walking into Rosetta is like transporting into time, it is inside a beautiful French colonial house that is extremely well taken care of. The food is a mix of Mexican and Italian and it was delicious but I do think it was a bit overpriced compared to other places in the area. The white mole was sooo good and the first time I've ever seen a mole that is white. The pasta was delicious, kind of like a ravioli with delicious mushrooms and a really nice light white sauce. The snapper was excepcional and melted in my mouth. All of this and two glasses of wine were $200 USD.
Rosetta is a 1 star Michelin rated restaurant and is ranked #46 on the list of the World's 50 Best Restaurants. It reinterprets traditional Mexican dishes in an intimate villa setting with several dining rooms spread across 3 floors. Portions are on the smaller side here. Agua piedra nat 650 - (95 MXN = $5.51) - Bottled water was expensive but they do offer complimentary filtered water. Chicatana Centeno - (275 MXN = $15.94) - This consisted of rye sourdough and chicatana ants butter. The butter itself was a little nutty. While the bread was good, the price was not warranted. Tamalito Huitlacoch - (320 MXN = $18.55) - This dish came with 2 corn and huitlacoche tamales with smoked cream. It was a unique smoky, and earthy dish. I hadn't had tamales quite like this. Taco col pipian -(315 MXN = $18.26) - These savory cabbage tacos came with a pistachio pipian and romeritos. It was almost like a pistachio mole, rich, and creamy. Triangoli ricotta - (430 MXN = $24.93) - This pasta dish consisted of ricotta triangles, with a strong citrus and fennel flavoring. The pasta was prepared al-dente. Risotto betabel - (420 MXN = $24.35) - This visually stunning risotto dish was prepared with beet risotto, radicchio and Chiapas cheese. It tasted as good as it looked! Costilla chip cala - (785 MXN = $45.50) - This tender short ribs dish was served with butternut squash and provided for some relief from the menu that was predominately vegetarian. Huachinango romes - (605 = $35.02) - This red snapper dish was crispy and flaky on the outside while it was tender on the inside. Served with green romesco and bok choy accompaniments it tasted great. Overall, I was hoping to have more meat dish offerings here, the menu was extremely limiting in this regard. While most of the dishes were unique and visually stunning, I felt some were over priced compared to other places I tried in Mexico City that were of a similar caliber.
This restaurant was highly rated on the Michelin Guide, however I thought that the food was just alright. It didn't blow my socks off like I expected. I've had much better tasting Italian restaurants that were in the Michelin Guide. Service was great. Our server was very attentive and made several recommendations. The vibe of the restaurant is really cool. There is a tree planted in side, giving the restaurant an outside feel, inside.
My friend was extremely excited to try this restaurant as it came very highly recommended. Out of everywhere we ate in CDMX and Oaxaca I would say this place was midrange. They try very hard to be very high end but the flavors just weren't there. Afterwards we went down the street and had a taco with more flavor in it. Sometimes the foams and making the presentation using tweezers doesn't make up for the lack of flavor. Service was great though!
This did not hit the spot for us. Portions were tiny for its price. I thought the food was mediocre , nothing outstanding. Service didn't meet the expectation considering it's a Michelin star restaurant. Great ambiance though especially the indoor patio area. Bathroom is nice. Located on the busy street in Roma Norte
Really great! Beautiful space and delicious food. We got to sit outside where there were heaters; the plants, lights, and warmth made for such a pretty and cozy dinner. The service was good as well. We tried the cabbage tacos, which were EXCELLENT - the wrapping was actually made out of cabbage and the pistachio pipian inside was super tasty. Went well with the free bread that came at the start of the meal :). I also tried the veggie minestrone, which was the most unique minestrone I've ever had. A green broth was added to a bowl of raw veggies when it was served, making it a soup/salad situation. It was tasty though. We had the gnocchi, which was melt in your mouth yummy, and the tamal with smoked beans which was dense, but tasty. For dessert we had the tres leches, which was some of the best tres leches I've ever had (had notes of what reminded me of pecan sandies). Last, but not least, I tried the fermented lemonade, peach flavor, which was interesting...not too sweet or sour but made for a nice accompaniment to dinner. Definitely recommend and would love to go back!
Can you believe a Michelin star restaurant for about $100 USD per person? And the best thing there was the guava Negroni. Maybe the most amazing cocktail I've had. The ambiance is "busy European bistro" with the cutest kitschy plates. See pic! They have an amazing gluten free selection. Almost all of their desserts are gluten free. I definitely recommend this bargain Michelin star option.
This was one of the best meals we had in Mexico City! Rosetta is Elena Reygadas' flagship restaurant. Her cuisine is based on respect for Mexican ingredients from small producers and is an à la carte menu that changes according to the seasonality of the products with a strong emphasis on the vegetable world. Rosetta seeks to promote a diet that is beneficial to human health that does not harm the environment. In 2023 Rosetta was selected as one of the 50 best restaurants in the world according to 50 Best. In 2024 it was awarded a Michelin star. Also, the restaurant is located in a 100 year old historic building that is stunning!! This particular night was pre planned for us by Modern Adventures so our meal tonite was representative of the Chefs ability but maybe not what you would find on the menu daily. However, the entire experience was spectacular from start to finish! Our servers came over immediately to bring water and offer us white or red wine. Since our menu was preplanned they started us with a Huitlacoche tamale, and Chicatana Ant Butter and Rye Sourdough!! ( I personally have never eaten ants before!!) followed up by the most interesting but tasty "taco". I say taco because it was a pistachio pipitan wrapped in a leaf of savoy cabbage that you roll up to eat. Next up was the main course of Sea Salt and Herb Crusted SeaBass with Samphire Sauce ( similar in taste to asparagus) alongside a citrus salad... absolutely outstanding!!!
Rosetta offers truly delicious food, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout my meal. The quality of the dishes definitely lives up to its reputation. However, two things left me disappointed. First, I was seated in the patio, and a fly fell into my beer. I informed my waiter, but nothing was done about it. Instead of replacing the beer or offering any solution, I had to ask for a spoon so I could remove the fly myself. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, that was very surprising and disappointing. The second issue was the inconsistency in the service. I noticed that the table next to me received a detailed explanation of every dish that was served, while at my table some dishes were explained and others were simply placed in front of me without any description. I had to ask what I was being served, which made me feel somewhat overlooked and excluded. Despite the excellent food and otherwise friendly service, I left with a bad impression. At a Michelin-starred restaurant, I expected more attention to detail and better handling of situations like these. A small gesture, such as replacing a beer with a fly in it, would have made a big difference.
Went into Rosetta with high expectations and it absolutely delivered. Every dish felt intentional. Not flashy for the sake of it, just really thoughtful cooking where the ingredients actually get to speak. The seasoning was dialed in across the board, which is usually where places like this can miss, but they didn't. Everything tasted clean, balanced, and precise. Technique was clearly there, but never forced. Nothing felt overworked or trying too hard to impress. It's the kind of meal where you realize halfway through that you're just enjoying everything without overanalyzing it. Wine list deserves a callout too. Really well curated, with options that pair naturally with the food instead of overpowering it. This is one of those spots that doesn't try to wow you with intensity. It wins you over with restraint and execution. And when it's done this well, that's more impressive. Would absolutely go back.
It was my husband's and my 14-year anniversary, so we figured we'd hit up at least a Michelin star restaurant while in Mexico City. I made dinner reservations at Rosetta for 9pm on a Wednesday. The restaurant contacted me via WhatsApp to confirm my dinner reservations. We arrived on time and were seated right away. The restaurant was located in a beautifully old building. My husband said it reminded him of Rainforest Cafe with all the greenery. Interestingly, I felt that the earthiness matched the vibe of the food. Overall service was excellent. Our server was highly attentive, and food came out incredibly fast. We ordered the cabbage tacos to start, which was not what I expected. The tacos were made from blanched cabbage, so they had a nice firmness. Loved the creamy green sauce. My husband's flank steak was amazing. It was perfectly tender and flavorful. I had a bite of the smoked beans, which was unique. I enjoyed my Pappardelle with duck and an herb that reminded me of mint. The sauce had a rich umami flavor because of the duck. I hate to say this, but I did not feel well after eating at Rosetta. I had to immediately leave dinner without sticking around for dessert because I needed to use the bathroom badly. I was informed later from a guest on a tour that he heard about people getting sick from the food at Rosetta. So my feeling unwell wasn't a fluke!
Rosetta was a highlight of our trip to Mexico City. The space is stunning--romantic, warm, and full of character--and the service was spot-on the whole night. The food was unforgettable. The corn tamales might be one of the best things I've ever eaten. The gnocchi was a bit too pungent with the Gorgonzola for me but we loved the tagliatelle with Italian sausage. For dessert, both the poached pears and the fresh herbs with rosemary ice cream were unique, refreshing, and the perfect way to end the meal. We also spotted a few tables ordering the sea bass baked in sea salt, which looked phenomenal--definitely on the list for next time. If you're looking for a truly memorable dining experience in Mexico City, Rosetta is a must.
Great service and a beautiful spot. Not sure it lives up to its hype but good to check out. Some of the dishes are creative but I can probably find comparable elsewhere. Ordered the scallops, white mole, mussels, Italian sausage, and duck papardelle. Scallops were good. White mole was good. Pastas were good but better al dente. The squid orachetti was the best. We visited Rosetta twice, during our trip to Mexico City. First for coffee and dessert, and we were so impressed we returned the next day for lunch. It's incredible to dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant and be seated immediately. The chef, Elena Reygadas, was named *The World's Best Female Chef* by The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2023, and the space reflects her signature feminine elegance. Rosetta is housed in a historic 100+ year-old building with wooden floors and a dreamy, airy ambiance. Complimentary Bread The meal began with complimentary bread, which felt extra special knowing Chef Elena also owns Panadería Rosetta, one of Mexico City's most iconic bakeries. The breads came with olive oil and included: - Chamomile - Corn husk leaf - my favorite; fluffy, aromatic, and sophisticated - Rosemary Dishes Gnocchi de papa, pesto de pepita, chaya y hoja santa: The gnocchi itself was good, but the cabbage added a bitterness I didn't enjoy. Tagliatelle, salchicha italiana y chile de Arbil: Comforting, flavorful, and delicious, my favorite savory dish of the meal. Dessert: Pears, elderflower, tarragon ice cream This dessert was magical. A bright, citrusy foam sat on top--light, airy, and whimsical. Underneath were caramelized pears atop tarragon ice cream. The flavors were vibrant yet delicate. The presentation looked straight out of a fairytale, with tiny edible flowers nestled around the poached pear. I imagine this is what fairies would eat. Atmosphere Dining at Rosetta feels like a sensory experience. The building's historic charm combines with floral artwork, high ceilings, lush greenery draped along the rafters, and a skylight that fills the room with soft natural light. Gentle, serene music plays in the background. The whole setting feels dreamy and transporting. Note: The kitchen closes at 5:30 pm and reopens at 7:00 pm, so plan accordingly. Overall, Rosetta offers a magical, beautifully curated experience, both visually and gastronomically. read more
For a 1-star Michelin, Rosetta was very worth! (After the peso to USD conversion, we paid ~$60pp, family style of a plethora of dishes). The food was pretty good, though found their drink game to be weak -- don't recommend their drinks. Service was fairly average. They were able to seat a party of 6ppl (I had to email them ahead of time and submit a deposit), a plus in my book for the group size accommodation. And they have an a la carte option, allowing flexibility for the group. Highlight of the meal: gnocchi -- wow! Best gnocchi I've ever had, so soft it melted in my mouth. A must try! read more
I had high expectations for Rosetta as it's ranked on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list and has 1 Michelin star. However, my partner and I were sorely disappointed with our entire experience. This was my birthday dinner and I really wished it was better. The service was very rushed and we could tell that the servers were trying to get the tables in and out as fast as they could. The food was honestly just bad and the presentation for each dish was mediocre. We ordered the following: Pork shoulder: 0/5 We hated this. The pork was extremely salty and very chewy. Lobster ravioli: 1/5 Not much lobster on the dish, and the ravioli was very basic. I've had better ravioli from Trader Joe's. Persimmon: 3/5 This was decent..but only because the persimmon tasted good. Beef tongue risotto: 2/5 Very meh. Had the consistency of jambalaya and didn't have much flavor. I was expecting a creamier risotto. They brought out a corn dessert for my birthday which was a nice gesture, but I really did not enjoy it since it was overly sweet. Although the ambiance is pretty, I don't understand why they have a Michelin star. We heard both of the tables around us also discussing how poor the service was and how they didn't enjoy the food. read more
We came to Rosetta for dinner on our second night in the city. We had an 8pm reservation and because of traffic/rain we got there on time by the skin of our teeth! The restaurant itself is very beautiful and has a wonderful ambiance and live greenery aesthetic. The bathroom was equally well designed and was equipped with le labo hand soap. Service was quick and helpful with our server making several suggestions that we ended up loving. Our favorite dishes were the savoy cabbage tacos, tagliatelle with Italian sausage and the risotto with esquites. For my main I ordered the vegetarian artichoke dish and my husband ordered the short rib. We were incredibly happy with both. For dessert our table shared the melipona honey jelly and the poached pears. None of us were really fans of the poached pears or the tarragon ice cream but we really loved the brown butter ice cream on the honey dessert. Overall we had an excellent experience and really enjoyed the food, cocktails, ambiance and service. read more

I was so excited to come here on our trip to CDMX last month and the experience did not disappoint. Rosetta is a gorgeous space with excellent service, from the hostess to our server. Note that the menu changes monthly! For drinks, we tried a corn lemonade that was so delicious we each ended up having two. We tried the sourdough with ant butter which I was initially scared of but was very earthy and complex. The pink mole with beets and radicchio was an interesting bite as well. A very memorable main was the braised short rib with polenta. read more

In every food recommendation list for CDMX, Rosetta appears so I had to try it out. Made a reservation 3-4 weeks in advance and was only able to get 4pm for a party of 4 so definitely make your reservations far in advance. Apparently they take a quick break between 5:30 and 6:30 to prepare for dinner service so we were eating from their lunch menu. - Complimentary Breads - I highly suggest eating at least 2 rounds of this because each time they came back with more, the breads were all different variety. I really loved how soft the insides were of each bread, it felt like you were eating the most absorbent cloud. - Savoy cabbage tacos, pitstachio pipian and romeritos - I honestly can't really remember the flavor of these tacos and none of the ingredients, I felt like, had a really distinctive taste. The thing that impressed me the most was how beautifully cut the cabbage was into a perfect circle. - Corn tamales, celeriac and smoked cream - This was definitely one of the big stars of the night. The tamales had a really nice corn flavor, wasn't super overpowering, and it was incredibly light and airy. Honestly it might have been the best tamales I've ever had. - Tagliatelle, Italian sausage and chile de arbol - - Risotto and esquites - I thought this dish was a bit too salty for my taste. I do appreciate how the rice and the corn was essentially equal in size so that everything was mixed together very well. - Steamed grouper, walnuts and capers - Honestly you could skip this. This dish felt like it was just steamed fish in a really sweet sauce that didn't really go well together. I'm kind of surprised to find out that there was supposed to be walnuts and capers as we couldn't taste any of this. - Braised short rib and polenta - My family thought this dish had an Asian essence to it which was interesting. The ribs were incredibly tender but the sauce they used definitely felt Asian expired. Could skip as well. - Poached pears, elderflowers and tarragon ice cream - This may or may not be the best dessert I've ever had at a Michelin-starred restaurant. This dish truly blew me away. The slightly sour foam that was surrounding the tarragon-flavored filled ice cream paired so incredibly well together. Then there was a slight bit of poached pear ice cream with pears sitting on top that contrasted in both flavors and textures. I couldn't believe how delicious and intricate this was. Honestly it made me feel a bit disappointed that all the other foods didn't have this quality to them. Definitely come here for the dessert! Not a bad Michelin-star experience in Mexico City. Also shout out to the absolutley beautiful and great-smelling bathrooms! read more

5 stars when considering price, probably only 4 without thinking about cost. While this was a lovely dining experience, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. We were seated after our reservation time and didn't find the service particularly impressive. The restaurant itself is gorgeous though - I loved the plants cascading from the ceiling. For food - some dishes were great, others were just alright. The bread appetizer came with the most unique butter - slightly sweet and vaguely chocolate-y, covered in crispy ants. The salad was nothing special. Best part of the meal was the sea bass - it was finished table side and was some of the most tender fish I've had, served over both raw and cooked greens. To finish, our favorite dessert was the chocolate topped with some crunchy leaf (?), but weren't super impressed by the ice cream/jelly combo. read more

Dining at Rosetta was truly a next-level experience--one of the best meals I've had so far in Mexico City. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was stunning. The space feels effortlessly elegant--warm, beautifully decorated, and filled with character. It strikes that perfect balance between fine dining and comfort. The service was top tier. Our server was attentive and professional without ever feeling overbearing. Plates and silverware were changed between courses seamlessly, and our glasses were never empty. You can really tell that hospitality is a priority here--every detail was dialed in. We tried the tamal de elote, tagliatelle, braised short rib with polenta, and the honey jello with ice cream. Honestly, everything was good. The pasta was okay--nicely cooked but nothing that really stood out. But the tamal de elote was incredibly flavorful--it tasted just like elote in the best way possible, rich and comforting. The braised short rib was so tender it didn't even need a knife--just melted in your mouth. But the biggest surprise of the night was the honey jello. It completely blew me away. When you think of jello, there's usually that generic flavor and texture--but this was something else. It tasted like pure honey, transformed into a delicate, elegant dessert. Easily one of my favorite bites of the entire trip. Rosetta delivered a beautiful dining experience--refined, thoughtful, and full of surprises. It absolutely lived up to its Michelin-star reputation, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something special in CDMX. read more

Got a lunch reservation here during a work trip so I could try this one star Michelin spot, and I'm so happy I did! I had eaten at a couple spots before this that were just ok, so I was hoping for a great meal and my expectations were met. Everyone I encountered here was extremely friendly, and the host/my server both spoke English which I was grateful for because my Spanish is not good. I ordered the shrimp aspic with crab, the pappardelle with chicken livers and sage, and the sea bass. I probably could've gotten away with just 2 dishes since I was dining solo, but I wanted to try as many dishes as I could fit in my stomach. My favorite of the 3 was the pappardelle with chicken livers, and I don't even love chicken liver. The flavor and richness of the sauce with the pasta was so good though! Highly recommend. The entire vibe and look of the restaurant is just so cute and green! So many live plants everywhere. Great ambiance! Highly recommend if you're in CDMX. read more

I can see why this restaurant earned its Michelin rating! The service, food, and ambiance were outstanding. For my appetizer, I had the tamales, followed by the Tagliatelle for my main course, and finished with the Melipona honey jelly paired with brown butter ice cream for dessert. Probably in the top 3 meals we had in CDMX! This is a Michelin restaurant and husband really wanted to dine here. I made a reservation at least a month in advance to be able to dine here. We started with drinks at the bar upstairs, so pretty! We sat by the window for our drinks. Shortly, one of the hosts let us know that our table was ready and we headed to the hall on the lower level. The ambiance here is so romantic with the dim lights and wallpapers. Very soothing to the eyes! We started with the mango tamarind appetiser along with the crab and shrimp jelly- I know it sounds so weird but trust me they were so exclusive and the flavours went so well together. I got the tamale for mains and my husband got the taglioni pasta - both extraordinary! Portion size was perfect! We finished our meal with the Criollo dessert and that was one of a kind!!! The service and food here are top notch. My only complaint is the music - I expect soft music when I'm dining in such a setting and wouldn't want to listen to Cardi B! read more

Que magnficiente! This place deserves all the accolades it deserves and more. Yes the prices are on the higher the side and the portions on the smaller but you really are paying for the quality, presentation and creativity. Art doesn't have a price. I recommend going heavy on the apps and pasta dishes as those really stood out to me. Also, be sure to save room for dessert. We ordered two and they were both in the top one percent of desserts I've ever consumed in terms of both taste and presentation. The tamarind, chili corn purée desert in a corn husk is incredible and packs a punch. The tamales were mouth watering, probably the best I will ever have and the pistachio purée wrapped cabbage leaf had a really interesting texture. The service is great, friendly and knowledgeable - able to give good recommendations and just say the generic "everything is good" . Space is cute, inviting and romantic. The plants and details on the wall are an added bonus for a date night or a birthday celebration. read more

The cocktails were not memorable for me at all. However, that was some of the best damn gnocchi I've eaten. It literally melted in my mouth. Wasn't chewy like store bought gnocchi. The meat in the dish was so tender. I really enjoyed that meal. The restaurant is very dark. I wished there were a little more lighting. But it's beautifully decorated. I wouldn't necessarily run back but it was nice. read more

#49 restaurant in the world per the world's 50 best list. Mexican restaurant with a bit of Italian influence. Reservation highly recommended. A la carte menu for lunch. Arrived to a beautiful entrance and walked in to an even more beautiful restaurant. Restaurant seems built out of a mansion. White walls with plants everywhere and vibrant table settings. Very cozy, bright, naturey, and homey. Service was causal, friendly, and attentive. Ordered an array of dishes to share and enjoy with my partner. Elote lemonade - incredibly refreshing lemonade with fresh corn Rye sourdough and chicatana ant butter - bread was amazing. Butter made from ants with flakey salt on top. Savory. Beet tartare al pastor - actually misread the menu and thought it said beef. However, the meets were still delicious. Vibrant and deep red, super fresh but also savory. Green mole and quelite tamal - hyper flavorful, vibrant green mole Pappardelle, chicken liver and sage - best liver I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and the pappardelle was al dente. Pork shoulder, tejocote puree, and mustard - tender savory pork shoulder paired with sweet tejocote, which is a hawthorn fruit. One of my favorite meals from Mexico City that's reasonably priced for a world's 50 best. read more

Michelin star so wanted to try it. Tried the Jasmine Margarita which was very much average. For appetizers we had the cabbage tacos and corn tamales. Both were good. The pistachio sauce/cream on the cabbage tacos was really good but the rest of the taco was underwhelming. Main entree was the gnocchi. The gnocchi itself was average but the broccolini with it was very good. Ambiance was nice. read more
I'm not exactly sure how Rosetta received a Michelin star ...but the evening that we experienced "FELL " ..so short of any stars moons or planets for service ...here it was just somewhat ridiculous. The server never introduced his name never bothered to share the specials with us for the evening,, and I only heard about the specials because the waiter next to our table was mentioning them to the other couple next to us (what the specials were ) for the night.Which apparently was a lobster ravioli. I inquired about it ...by the time the our/server got back to me. He said that it was no longer available. No thanks to our-original waiter . Second of all he never came by to see how we were doing, or to follow-up on our evening. He just took our order and probably came by once throughout the whole 1/hr. 15 minute experience we had throughout our dinner service. This felt way short of expectations not just from the servers but the food in general, the food was just somewhat ordinary and nothing to brag about, just simplistic dishes, but nothing with a real punch. The Lamb was not games , but nothing special either ( fell short of seasoned/flavor) the short-rib with whipped mash was flavorful but no " WOW" factor, the truffle pasta was just that.. the same type you would get at other restaurants doing the same thing. The Fish which I was really looking forward to for a huge show-stopper and "Wow -Factor "...was anything, but ,it was just an ordinary cut a fish presentation was (IMPRESSIVE) which was served and seasoned appropriately . The Pork came with trumpet mushrooms and a rustic polenta . The Scallop we ordered as an appetizer was also nothing to write -home about.. just ordinary. They also ran-out of a couple of the desserts by ( 7:30 PM) that I was interested in similar to a ( Île Flotantte) meringue floating on a custard/créme glaze.The remaining desserts did not look that appealing. The Pannetone which is traditionally a Spanish or Italian Christmas/Bread ..( which I ordered) this slice came with the crème glaze and plated....which was absolutely Just completely boring to say the least.!! at the end of the dinner, I waited for the bill to arrive ( paid and tipped) the waiter accordingly.But I took the time to speak to the manager in charge and told him the kind of service we had had and how the evening rolled out. He was apologetic and said that he would address the issue, but I told him that, unfortunately for Michelin star these types of experience, should never fall in -play or even occur. I told him" thank you", for your time, but also told him that we would never come back here again for sure .I related the experience to him that we had just had a few nights earlier at( PUJOL) ) another Michelin star restaurant in Mexico City , which was just EXTRAORDINARY and AMAZING !!!! You would think they're a Michelin star restaurant would be a lot more creative in bringing the sense of creativity in food and presentation would be a massive n focus or at the forefront of the menu... but unfortunately " NOT " here..." read more
Food: 4 Decor: 4 Service: 4 Came here for dinner. Overall solid meal and would definitely recommend. Was ranked #49 on the 2023 World's 50 Best list and #34 on the 2024 list. White mole and fermented carrots, 330 ~3/5. Interesting combination and nice plating, although it was probably my least favorite dish of the night. Savoy cabbage tacos with romeritos and pistachio pipián $270 ~4/5. Pretty presentation and an interesting mix of flavors. Tagliatelle with Italian sausage and chile de árbol, $430 ~4/5. Delicious. Nice and meaty with some perfectly cooked tagliatelle pasta. My favorite dish of the meal. Hoja santa and white bean cacao criollo, $310 ~3/5. Interesting dessert. Hoja santa is a Mexico pepperleaf herb used in many Mexican dishes, and the plating was quite pretty. Service was great. Tip: you can order some of the dishes as half-portions - ask them which ones. read more

We made reservations more than a month in advance and went with a great deal of anticipation for an amazing meal. The service was excellent. The margaritas were mediocre at best. The food was a monumental disappointment. The ant butter was vile. The bread was mediocre. The flat iron steak was dry and disappointing. The pastas were worse than we are used to. Would not go again and don't recommend it. Mexico City has many, many much better restaurants. read more
Ambiance is 10/10 The restaurant is beautiful and holds a perfect example of what to expect in Roma Norte. 10/10 Clean Welcomed by numerous staff members. Very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Waiter was very friendly. Bass! Bass! Bass! Sea Bass was the highlight of the meal! It was cooked to perfection and I was in love with the guava puree. I would come back here for the sea bass. As for the pappardelle, chicken liver was cooked perfectly. Perfectly executed but the bass is just more memorable. read more

My first time in Mexico City and my daughter had Rosetta on her must eat list. We made reservations at least 3 weeks before our visit. We wanted to dine on a weekend but they do not take reservations on F-Sun . We ended up having lunch reservations on a Tuesday at 2 PM. We were a little early but they seated us promptly. We picked the indoor seating area by the window and the waiter asked us if we wanted to have the door opened since it was a little muggy and slightly overcast. My daughter had the guava cocktail per our waiter's recommendation and it was good but strong as he warned . He also brought us the house bread and olive oil which was really good and fresh. I had the papardalle with chicken liver and sage and she had the braised short ribs with polenta . Both were good as expected from a Michelin star restaurant. For dessert we had the avocado sorbet with muscatel plums and avocado leaf oil. It was refreshing but lacking in avocado taste . Surprisingly (to me), the waiter also brought in a pineapple and corn sort of dessert with a candle as this was a belated bday treat from my daughter. It was good and she was glad they didn't forget since she mentioned it during the reservation. We just felt rushed since the lady who presented the check came even if we weren't even finished with the food and it was barely 3 PM . What was the rush ? It will probably be a couple of hours before the dinner crowd will come in . Anyway, we were both glad we went. You could really taste the good ingredients and service was prompt and may be too quick for us ( we hoped to digest our food more ) when presented the bill . Restrooms were clean but small . Overall, it is still worth a visit when you are in Mexico City . read more
Overall, enjoyed our experience though it wasn't quite as special a meal as I'd hoped thus the 4 stars. They say Italian but this feels heavily Mexican influenced with only the pastas really feeling more Italian. For me, this was a good thing being in Mexico but I was a bit surprised. The food: really charming restaurant and ambience, diverse menu. What we got: Bread with ant butter - 5/10 - the bread was fine, the butter tasted earthy but we just didn't think this was that great. Tamale with smoked cream sauce - 8/10 - the tamales were perfect, smoky cream was a nice touch, didn't get much celeriac flavor and thus didn't feel super unique but enjoyed it a lot. Savoy Cabbage Tacos - 9/10 - these were the most special app we got. Really unique flavor and textures with the pistachio pumpkin cream. Tagliatelle with sausage - 7/10 - this tasted great but felt like a solid pasta could get at any good Italian restaurant. Suckling pig - 10/10 - this was probably my favorite bite of the meal - the pork had a nice crispy skin, was fork tender, flavorful purées. Really special. Sea bass - 7/10 - perfectly cooked with a salad, just didn't feel like anything special. Huitalacoche Tamal - 9/10 - this was a unique dish with a nice blend of textures and flavors. Criolla cake - 4/10 - lovely lava cake texture but the flavor just didn't do much for us. Olive oil rosemary ice cream - 9/10 - this was a really lovely mix of bright herbs and olive oil. Very tasty and unique. Honey jelly and brown butter ice cream - 7/10 - jello was kind of bland and the ice cream was nice but not super flavorful. Poached pears - 10/10 - this was an amazing dessert. Beautiful combo of flavors and textures with the ice creams, pairs and foam. Overall, we enjoyed everything but I wouldn't say it blew me away. read more
Another amazing meal. I had no business ordering all the things I got when I did a tasting menu earlier that day at the restaurant right next-door. Seeing as they're number 49 in the top 50 best restaurant in the world you do need a reservation to eat here. I was able to score one at the last minute. Their customer service is astounding. I got there right on time for my 10pm reservation, but my table wasn't ready yet, so I was let upstairs to the bar where I proceeded to get a little too litty. Those drinks were so damn good. I ended up being given a table for four, which honestly ended up being perfect since I ate like there was more than one of me. Despite how good it was, I left the bread alone because I wanted to make sure I had enough room in my system for all the foods. I started with the beet tartare. My goodness the light crunch it had was just perfect. That was followed by the pasta then the fish. I ended with the meringue because there was no way I wasn't going to have dessert. I think I had 4 cocktails. I was feeling good. I do wish they offered a tasting menu. Mostly because I'm lazy and prefer a chef's table experience. They did however exceed all my expectations. The service was on point. I was well attended to. In conclusion, I had an asian glow by the time I left. The ride back to my hotel was so fun. I was full and thankful. read more

Okay food, okay service, lovely ambience. The good: corn tamale with truffle, tagliatelle, potato gnocchi with lamb. The dessert- was some pieces of jello and ice cream but the flavor was amazing. Not so good: sea bass, corn broth dish. read more
Absolutely gorgeous interior and a nice exterior too. Amazing service and friendly people. The menu was great, enough options but not too many to overwhelm. Def the pricer end of spots of course but could be worth it for a nice occasion. The food was really good but didn't blow me away, very much enjoyed it though read more
