Ryan and his team were amazing! We hired them for a long distance move from San Francisco to Portland in quite a short notice. Ryan offered us the best price, which honestly, made us suspicious at first. However, his guys were so professional and fast! They cleared our apartment in less than 3 hours and made sure to wrap everything and disassembled our larger pieces of furniture. They met us the next morning in our new house and immediately got to work. They unloaded everything quickly and made sure every box went to the right room. Ryan and his team helped moved some but not all of my items from SF to SAC on July 2016, and I have been disputing a missing item with them since then and am now taking them to court. I am missing the side supports to my west elm parsons tower and $800 bookcase. This company isn't professional. He has reneged twice on reimbursing me on a settled amount, done in writing. His movers did not take inventory of my items before moving them. They did not file a claim with their insurance company. During the move, the two man team left the moving truck abandoned with the doors wide open on ofarrell street in the tenderloin, as witnessed by myself, my mother, and my sister who were there to assist with the move. We were mortified. It is a wonder that more things were not missing from my move. Unfortunately, I won't know because no inventory was done. This is a stark contrast to the long distance CANY movers who worked with me before who did things in a professional manner. They met with me before the move to take inventory. They put numbers on all of my items, they helped me pack, they gave me a month of free storage, and they helped me unpack. CANY charged only twice what Roseville relocation charged and that was moving from the east to west coast. I had damaged goods from CANY but their insurance claim filing process was easy and I got reimbursed. The only reason I went with Ryan is because I thought that thumbtack million dollar guarantee would cover any issues, but that apparently is for damages not missing things in a move. I have fought tooth and nail to get a resolution and i'm done playing civil. Do NOT go with this mover if you have valuable furniture. They will blame you and accuse you of making things up to get off of paying for a service. They are nice to get your business but not if something goes wrong. They did not respond to my initial inquiry of items so after 2 weeks I decide to take it up with my credit card company. Initial Inquiry: Hi I had a move with you guys and i'm missing the side pieces to my shelves. I'm just getting around to unpacking my bedroom as I just got my carpet installed this morning and I can't find them. "I have spoke with both movers that have worked with me for several years that have always been trustworthy and they have stated that they never have moved such item and believe that you are making faulty accusations. I have never experience the situation where a customer has accused us of not transporting an item that apparently was not even involved in the move. You are stating that this item is of high value and is irreplaceable. And you would like a cash payout of an amount of $700 which is $200 more then the job was charged. When I spoke with you on the phone I had told you that I would be willing to replace the property but I'm not willing to do a cash payout for that amount. If you would like to re discuss the situations that is fine but as of right now I am disputing the charge back. Also I will need you to provide your full and correct name and contact info being you have used multiple names on the Thumbtack website and corresponding e-mails so I can provide them to my attorney. Any other accusations that you may make may be subject to additional actions by my legal team. including slander ect. Thank you and look forward to hearing from you soon." Stay away from this company. Don't get cheated by its high ratings! This company is totally a bullshit. It lures its customers with the lower labeled price. On the day of moving, they just called you that their truck rented from Budget is broken. Everyone knows that if the rented truck is really broken, they can easily get a new one. They just keep asking you to cancel the move. I really had a very hard time as I already packed everything in my house for the move. During a very recent move from California to Oregon, the moving crew was very nice and worked diligently. They showed up on time, loaded the truck without unnecessary delays, and made the delivery on time. However, upon unloading my belongings, one chair leg was broken, one nightstand leg was broken, the freezer side is very dented, the dresser mirror has broken mounts and the mirror is shattered....and my wife's 2 month old very high end and very expensive refrigerator has a couple of nice circular dents one the stainless steel doors, obviously caused by the table legs that were packed right up to it. Initially, owner Mr. Bailey communicated with me in writing that he would process the insurance claim and do "whatever it takes to make this right." He stated his agent would contact me. I never heard from anybody, and when I asked for an update a few days later, he informed me in writing that he was bankrupt and could not address my damages. Bottom line...if you're fortunate that none of your belongings were damaged along the way, I can understand a high rating. These guys are phenomenal movers! The owner Ryan and his coworker Niko came and packed our 2 bedroom apartment into the moving truck and it only took them an hour and a half. These to master movers did a perfect job. It was real life tetris style. We feel confident that nothing will shift or break. We will have a very smooth time unloading because of how conscientious they were of the way in which a truck should be packed. I would recommend this company to anyone. Price - probably the biggest problem - the quote is not in any way related to the result for the move from San Jose to San Diego the quote was $2200 and went up to $3200. They gave a quote over the phone based on my description of moving a 2 bedroom apt. They did not go for a walk through (which is fine, and when I asked - how much can it go over - obviously they want to give an attractive offer, I was told "no more than $200-$300 over the quote") The quote they gave was underestimated by $1000 (from $2200 to $3200, (originally $3500, but I yelled at them)). Pick up: They were a day late for the pick up, because something happened with the address. Next day they looked at the apartment and increased the price by $1200 (eventually $1000). And moved the pick up another day - since there were not enough people/packing materials. That was a problem because I could not find other movers. Packing: Packed everything randomly (a lot is our fault though). Lots of 1/2 empty boxes, lots of paper bags and garbage. Recommend pre-packing a lot of things in advance. Delivery: Was planned to go for the next day and it was fine. - only 2 guys and 2 hours of work. Damages: Damaged a leg of my keyboard frame. Lost a part from a bed frame. So - they did the move, most things arrived ok, timing - ok, price - much higher than originally quoted. Very Meh... read more

Great team! Made my life sooooo much less stressful during my move. All of my things were in great condition, nothing scratched or broken.

Approximately one year ago, I used Roseville Relocation Service to move a compact washer dryer unit to a second floor apartment and they were great! On time and got the job done safely and quickly. Since I needed to move in June of 2018, I called Roseville Relocation Service again to handle my 1.5 mile move to another part of Roseville. They showed up on time and the two workers began to load the truck. I should point out that I rented a U-haul truck to be used by Roseville Relocation Service because they stated that it would be much cheaper than if I had to pay for them to bring their own truck. It seemed a bit unusual but I went ahead and rented a 20' U-haul. They did a good job packing the truck and they left to go to my new residence, where THE DRIVER ACCIDENTALLY BACKED THE TRUCK INTO MY SEAMLESS RAIN GUTTER AND CRUSHED IT. (Thankfully the U-haul truck wasn't damaged). They offered to "fix it" on the spot, which, since it was a seamless rain gutter that was painted the same pastel yellow color as the house, they couldn't really fix on site. They told me they would be turning it over to their insurance company who would be in touch with me and that they would keep me posted. I paid them their quote of just under $500 and they left. That's the last I've heard from Roseville Relocation Service and it's been nearly two weeks I have called and texted them but THEY HAVE IGNORED ME FOR ALMOST TWO WEEKS, so I will have no choice but to take this to my insurance company who, after my claim is paid, will have to go after Roseville Relocation Service to get their money back. Since I have heard nothing from them, I have no idea if Roseville Relocation Service really has liability insurance but they are legally required by the State of California to have it. In addition to ignoring my requests, Roseville Relocation Service left two spools of clear stretch-wrap behind, along with one of the worker's*** t-shirts (he took it off because it was hot that day). I let them know but again, no response. ***This worker stated that he was training to become an electrician an he volunteered to hang a ceiling fan for me for a low price and that he would be contacting me in a couple of days. He didn't. And he doesn't respond to messages either. Overall, a terribly disappointing experience with a company that had previously provided me with excellent service. I had even recommended them to neighbors who then also used their services. It's too bad they decided to become flakey and turned what could have been a simple move into a very big hassle (for me, anyway). But at least I got two small spools of free stretch-wrap and a sweaty t-shirt out of the deal. read more

Wow! The move went perfectly! When we started looking for movers Ryan's quote was the most affordable and completely straightforward- no lame double mile/labor or square footage rates- just a fair hourly rate. We scheduled a 4 person team and they were all on time and worked really quickly- even sometimes jogging back from the truck! Everyone was friendly and professional. They took apart our furniture and packed what we hadn't got to and fit it into the truck with care and precision. It started raining and snowing a bit and they shrugged it off and continued to work while protecting our belongings. I have used Ryan and his company I believe 6-7 times now. Four of the moves were residential for my wife and I and two were for my business. He was used again to move a extremely heavy and fragile piece of office equipment downstairs. Large office copiers are not friendly at 400 pounds and don't like to get bumped very hard. These guys did a perfect job, by the time I came back to see if they were set up they were already downstairs . Nothing of value has been damaged and what was broken was incidental. Nothing is going to be perfect. If you don't want to take the time to properly protect items or pay for it to be wrapped, you run the risk it will be damaged . The amount of professionalism Ryan and his workers show is what makes a difference. They will take their time to ensure your items are safely delivered. My move involved numerous large pieces of glass that I don't even think can be replaced. One of these was an all glass dining room table that would give any mover nightmares. They moved the table twice without a scratch. I intend on continuing to use Roseville Relocation and can't recommend his company and crew enough. read more

This mover, consisting of two men, showed up on time with only a day's notice to pack and move 75% of my stuff into a smaller place, only 20 miles away. They did so quickly to minimize the cost, though no estimate was given. The cost was $85 per hour plus the cost of boxes used, which seems reasonable to me. The crew was affable and responsive to my needs for the most part. However, they damaged a few items including a piece of furniture I had specifically identified as special and requiring maximum care. They also broke a substantial wooden computer desk by rolling it on its small indoor casters on the asphalt street, which was something they should have foreseen and avoided. They lost irreplaceable shelf support hardware for a large garage shelving unit. A lot of the packing of small items was accomplished by just piling them into boxes without any wrapping or care for the more significant items, causing all kinds of damage.
