We scheduled an appointment to see some available puppies she had online that weekend. At the appointment, she brought out three different schnoodles we were interested in. The one we ended up choosing was Snowflake. She was a 13 week schnoodle. At first when Ashlee brought Snowflake out, she was very shy and timid. But that's to be expected from meeting new people for the very first time. Slowly Snowflake opened up and she was so sweet. We ended up buying her that weekend, but we were not prepared at home for Snowflake. Ashlee offered to keep Snowflake for a week so we could buy all the necessary things for her! So kind of Ashlee to offer. We came back the following weekend and picked up Snowflake. Ashlee was very knowledgeable and informative of all our questions. She also mentioned that their team is available to us for the lifetime of the dog! They also provided a very detailed handbook for us to review, and it was so helpful. When we brought Snowflake home, she was shy and scared but that's because it was an unfamiliar place. Snowflake was already litter box trained and did so well at that at home too. She eventually started to open up. Snowflake is now 16 weeks and is the sweetest little girl. She learns so quick! Ashlee also mentioned her dogs are very aware of the word "no." Snowflake picked up a lot of things very fast and is very into words of affirmation. We also just had her 16 weeks vet check up and Snowflake is a healthy puppy. We couldn't have asked for more. Ashlee and her team are always available. Whenever I had a question, she would respond within minutes. I felt very secure knowing we had a puppy from someone who has been in the breeding business for a long time. BEWARE OF THIS BACKYARD BREEDER!!!! He sold me a very ill puppy and would not admit to her being…read moresick or take any responsibility. The day after I bought the puppy I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with PDA, a very, very serious heart disorder that would kill her within a year if not treated. (by the way, treatment for this disorder ranges in the $3000 dollar range) I called this breeder and told him the diagnosis and he told me flat out "the puppy does not have PDA" and he refused to refund my money. Saying "hold on to her and she will be fine". That was a week ago and I have so far taken her in for an echocardiogram and verified that she does in fact have a PDA (which I have since found out is hereditary) and have scheduled surgery for her. (95% chance of recovery and healthy long life:) Per the Puppy Lemon Law I am in the process of going after this breeder for 150% of the purchase price of the puppy which he is in fact liable for (not even close to what we are spending to get her healthy). He has offered to refund my money if I bring the puppy back (after I informed him I was taking him to court of course) but this is not going to happen. She is a great little girl and we have become very attached to her and could not live with ourselves taking her back and knowing that she would not get the proper care that she deserves. DO NOT BUY ANY DOGS FROM THIS BREEDER!!!!!!! We need to shut down people like this that care more about money than the animals they breed!! OK lets comment on the reply this breeder just put up two years after the fact: Dear Customer , I did take full responsability and offered to refund your money right after you notified me that the puppy was ill ( this is total BS! The response I received from this guy was I quote " there is nothing wrong with the dog just wait a while and she will be fine" ) but you refused to bring her ( again total BS, the only reason I called the day after I bought her was to return her after two vet visits to confirm the PDA but you flat out refused ) because you said you were attached to her instead you wanted me to pay you $4000.00 (no I did not want $4000, per puppy lemon I was entitled to 150% of the purchase price of the puppy which you again refused to pay) in medical bills! That is not the way lemon law works ! This is one of the reason I decided to just breed older trained dogs instead of puppies this way I do all the check ups and will make sure I have enuff than to evaluate the overall health of the German shepher dog. It is really to bad you feel this way about my kennel!
