Passing through on the way to Chicago. Found this place on Yelp. It's a cool little bar and restaurant in downtown Port Clinton. Friendly staff. Really good drinks. Extensive menu for a place this size. We got the Walleye sandwich, crispy Brussel sprouts, and Walleye bites. Really delish. Parking right out front if it's not crazy busy. Family friendly. Nice job!

A surprise fine in downtown Port Clinton. Food was extremely good, menu was perfectly varied and atmosphere was lovely for a cold winters night. Prices were average and service was super. It is small and bar-like, but in a cozy way. Patrons were not teens and party crowd. More upscale locals. Parking was on the street which was a challenge in peak dinner hours. Handicapped parking is close though there are a few steps to get into the restaurant. Tables by the window coukd be cold during the winter as they are close to the door. There is a. Ice bar area. Desserts were awesome. Highly recommend

Took my wife put to enjoy a dive on the last sunny day before a long period of rainy days were predicted . We found Rosie's online and made it our destination. What a wonderful find, a real surprise! As you walk in it seems a nice bar and grill, but when we opened the menu , what a surprise! Yes the expected burgers, but a really surprising number of unusual and unexpected offerings, including elevated salads, appetizers, snd build your own pasta, ( my wife saw the dessert tray snd was impressed) we both had the pick 2 specials soup snd a salad or half sandwich, we both had the French Onion Soup(really good, lots of onion and croutons, bury good broth) we both thought it was one of the best we have had locally in a while) i had the Italian Quesadilla ( very good, lots of meat, peppers and onions with a dipping sauce) snd my wife had a 1812 salad ( brandy soaked cranberries, almonds, feta, spring mix greens ) said it was wonderful, so give Rosies a try, but be aware, during tourist season parking may be a challenge, there is parking in the rear

Hard to review when you're ignored. Atmosphere was nice, water was good. But no one wanted to take our order so we left.

Nice menu. 1812 salad is the best. Bar seating is good. The decor could be updated. But overall nice

Average food. Rosie has a personality for the kitchen, not for the front of the house. But there ain't much of shit in Port Clinton.

I've been here for dinner and the food was amazing! I went for breakfast later and got the avocado…read moretoast which was pretty good but had too much sauce and cheese. The service was good and the employees were friendly. Aside from the food the area is beautiful! There are chickens and a nice stream to walk around.

Very disappointing…read more We have a cottage on the islands and yesterday we had some time available before our ferry so we stopped in to take advantage of their early happy hour (3-6) as we've been there before and enjoyed it. Not this time. It was about two minutes to 3 when we sat at the bar (nobody else at the bar but us) and asked for a menu. The bartender (male) gave us dinner menus so we asked could we please have the lunch menus. He looked at his watch and said "I guess so" and gave them to us. We then asked for the happy hour menu and again, he looked at his watch , decided it was ok, then gave them to us. Not an awesome start but no biggie. We ordered the happy hour calamari, and for lunch I had the perch sandwich with chips and wife got the luncheon steak filet. First the good news. Service was good, food came out quickly and my wife said her steak (while a bit pricey at $35 for a small filet) was excellent as were the green beans that came with it. Now the bad. The calamari was severely over-fried and basically tasteless. My wife asked me "do you taste anything?" and candidly, I didn't. Just the dipping sauce. My perch was equally flavorless, all I tasted was bread. Same goes for the 1/2 baked potato that came with the steak. That looked and tasted exactly like a microwaved potato someone sprinkled a bit of shredded cheese on. Very, very bland. And the homemade chips that came with the perch were the saltiest things ever salted. I couldn't eat them at all, had about three (they looked great) and realized my sodium level would spike off the charts if I ate any more. With two drinks (a happy hour beer & Tito's) the bill with tip was $100 and we couldn't taste the calamari, the perch or the potato and couldn't eat the chips. Insert "not great Bob" animated gif.
