The food is a take off from the real Rosa Maria's in San Bernardino. It is good But has become expensive! They charge for card transactions and now limit the amount of Hot Sauce. When placing my order they always get it right and charge the right price. When you get your food open bag and double check it. For some reason this location consistently gives you the wrong stuff. The place we normally go to was closed so my dad suggested we try this place. So disappointing. We ordered a carne asada burrito, and I'm sorry but when I order carne asada I expect to get carne asada. Especially for the price. I don't mind paying if it's worth it, but this one definitely was not. It was all refried beans and rice. The small portion of meat that was actually in the burrito was tough and fatty. So gross. We ended up throwing it away. I never thought you could mess up a quesadilla, but they proved me wrong on that one. The grease was literally running down our hands every time we took a bite- an obvious sign that they use cheap cheese. Another sign was that they use cheap cheese was that it was so tough and hard to bite through. I'm starting to see a theme here... The shredded beef tacos were decent. Nothing spectacular, but atleast grease wasn't running down our hands. The fish tacos were the same, but if you don't like spicy ask for the hot sauce on the side. I came in today because it's close to the house and I've heard their food is good. I ordered a carne asada burrito and I was disappointed when I got home. The burrito was covered in grease, the grease smelled like lard or pork/carnitas fat. The first few bites were good but as I kept eating I got so many chewy fatty pieces of meat, I personally don't like the texture or flavor of chewy soft fat. I prefer meat. I should've ordered something else, besides the fatty meat and the grease, everything else was good. I will go back one day and give them a second chance, but I won't order anything with carne asada. Just ate here with my daughter. She got the BRC it was perfect and she is a BRC connoisseur. Just the right amount of beans and cheese and rice ratio with a good warm tortilla. And it's big for $4. I got the Huevos Rancheros and they were amazing. I have never had this meal before and it exceeded my expectations. Stopped by here for a late lunch... i really didn't even know there was a Rosie's in Calimesa..... We always went to the Rosie's on Yucaipa Blvd & loved it.... they've since torn down the original building..... this Rosie's didn't feel like the old style Mexican food that we were used to.... I ordered a Bean & Cheese burrito, (easy) my husband a ground beef taco (pretty easy) ..... we had several other people with us so we also got a bean, rice & cheese burrito plus French fries, and a meat bean & cheese burrito with sour cream.....everything was okay but not like the original place.... m y husband's taco shell wasn't home made (store bought pre-made from the box) nor was my tortilla.. What I remember about Rosie's is so different.....but hey things change and everyone is trying to make things happen during Covid so I'll give Rosies in Yucaipa another try and just maybe it will be like I remembered.... I normally get a Chile renello burrito with the Chile verde. Today I wanted to try something different. I tried the carne asada burrito. Total disappointment! The meat was super fatty. I pulled several inedible pieces out of the burrito. Not to mention the carne asada was flavorless and had been pre cooked. Would you like a side of coronavirus with your food? I used to really love this place. For some reason they are still serving food at the door like they're taking some sort of safety precautions. When you look into the restaurant they are all pretending to be wearing a mask by wearing them on their chins. it is really sad that these restaurants have no more respect for their customers than to risk getting themselves and their customers sick and possibly even causing deaths. I walked in and headed to the counter with a smile. I said Hi to the young lady at the register, who didn't say a single thing to me. She just looked at me. I told her what I wanted to order. She rang me up and told me the total. She didn't say anything else, & didn't ask whether I was dining in or taking out; she assumed I was "to go" as indicated on my receipt, although I planned to eat there. I got a taco & tostada. The taco never fails to satisfy. When I took my first bite of the tostada, the beans were cold. I've been here twice. The first time I went, I got the chile verde plate. The chile verde is super tender and has a good flavor, but there isn't much heat or acidity to it. Delicious beans. Rice is ok. This last time, I got a combo with a chile relleno and an enchilada. I got the cheese enchilada. It was ok. The sauce on the enchiladas wasn't too complex. The chile relleno was nice and fluffy. Not too much chile nor cheese inside, but I loved it. It came with some chile verde on top. Again, rice not so interesting. Those beans, however, are amazing. Why not more stars? Plastic cutlery. You get a real plate, but a plastic fork/spoon is just weird to me. Order at the counter, sit down, go pick up your order. Meh. read more

I think they just lost me as a customer. I went in and ordered two bean and cheese burritos with guacamole. While I was waiting I glanced at the ticket and saw a charge for sour cream. When my order was ready I asked about it and the girl looked and said "Yeah, I hit that my mistake" and laughed. Not "I'm sorry, here is your money" so I just said it's ok. When I ate the burrito it was falling apart, I had to eat it with a fork, found hardly any cheese and it didn't even taste good. This garbage place can never get an order right . These incompetents who "work" at Rosie's need to be removed and fired. They are stupid, lazy and basically unfit for any retail job. They consistently screw up orders, forgetting to include items ordered but not correctly inputted into the order form, take for example order 53 placed today 5/5. Then to make things worse they are lazy by not answering their phone. They merely pick up the receiver and lay it down without answering so you can listen to those worthless employees for about 20 minutes before they hang up the phone. Normally I wouldn't return to Rosie's based on their lower health department ratings. Obviously returning was a mistake. This place is a disgrace. read more

When I first got introduced to the city of Calimesa 8yrs ago, I asked around to see who had good Mexican food. I was told Rosies was the spot. I went, tried, and tried again...terrible every time. Very disappointed with these guys. I ordered a large menudo to go when I was getting out of my car I lift the bag the menudo rip through the bag fell on the ground and the menudo cup broke. I called them several times but they wouldn't answer the calls, I drove back to Rosie and told them what had happened I even showed the a picture of the broken cup the girl showed the lady in the back she came to tell me that they were going to give me a new one but, that this has never happen before! I'm upset that they think I purposely drop it. If that would of been the case I would not have gone back it would be my fault. I'm a honest person I don't do shit like that! They didn't packaged the menudo right the first time second time they gave it to me in a plastic bag. Stopped in the area for gas and ended up eating here. Be prepared for the HUGE portions! We ordered what I thought was the 2 small burritos and a side of Verde fries. What we got was a huge plate of fries with pork Verde, guacamole, sour cream and cheese ( a meal for 2 or 3). The burritos were HUGE!!! :-) We ended up eating just the fries with the delish hot sauce they have on the counter. The burritos ended up with some cool guys at the gas station. If and when I stop here again, it's gonna be just one order that we can share. The guy behind the counter was super nice and helpful. The portions are obviously huge. I ordered the nachos with cheese and carne asada, I was so disappointed. First of all for Mexican food I don't understand why they used nacho cheese, I have never seen that before. Every time I have ordered nachos elsewhere they use melted Monterey Jack cheese. The nachos were so soggy too! I figured since I spent over 10 bucks I will try to eat them and no way too salty because it was nacho cheese. I called them and they were closed.
