So when you order online, it says 1095 for a chili Verde burrito, they charged me 1395 for the chili Verde burrito, and then I ordered guacamole and lettuce, tomato and sour cream on it. They charge to be another $12 for that! So by the time I got out of there at 10:95 burrito ended up being $25! I have never been to a restaurant who has ever done that before and charged that much. That was the most ridiculous, unbelievable amount I've ever seen for a Chili burrito. I will never go back there again and I will tell everybody. read more

This is our third time coming here and it never disappoints! My husband and I were seated quickly and we were given chips and salsa to enjoy. I ordered my favorite combo plate (2 shredded beef tacos and a chile relleno that was bigger than my face). It comes with beans and rice. The rice was fluffy and flavorful and the beans were yummy and covered with cheese (as it should be...all hail to the Cheese). My husband got his favorite carne asada burrito, and it was pretty big for only $11.00. We barely started on our second bowl of chips and salsa when Alfredo brought out our food. Yum yum and some more yum. Yummy all day. Did I mention it was yummy? The total bill was $29.09 without the tip. And we have the 2 tacos, beans and rice and half a burrito for dinner. We wanted to try a new place for dinner and they had quick delivery times so we decided to give them a try. We had a pretty basic order... 5 shredded beef tacos and two Cali carne asada burritos. First the tacos - now, this could have been our misinterpretation but we thought we saw shredded beef tacos on the menu. When we got them we were very disappointed to see that they were ground beef. I can make ground beef tacos at home(and usually do) so I like to get shredded beef. Oh well. We weren't going to let that sway our decision on if we liked the tacos or not. The shells were a little overcooked but not terrible. The lettuce was fresh and crisp and the tomatoes were not mushy. The cheese was not melted (I usually like it to be, but not required). The meat was so salty. That was basically all I tasted when I took bites. I was really trying to give these tacos a fair chance, but when it seems like the only seasoning used was salt, and too much at that, it's hard to give two thumbs up. Now the Cali Burritos- french fries in a carne asada burrito? Maybe...if they weren't soggy and overpowering. It seemed like there was more fries than there was meat. Everything that was in the burrito just didn't mesh. It seemed like they just threw whatever was near into the tortilla. The flavor was not good. Let me start out by saying that the service was great, the waitress was friendly and the food came out fast. That's where the good ends. I tend to judge the quality of a place by the chips. They were prefab bag chips. The salsa was okay, but bland. I ordered a strawberry margarita on the rocks. What I got was a schooner or Jose Cuervo mix or the like. It was red syrup. Come on !! The potato tacos were okay. The beans were totally bland. The fish in the taco was fried in rancid or old oil. The sauce on my mother's enchilada seemed watered down. What makes this worse is that my 80-something mother already in bad health got food poisoning. I thought she might have been mistaken until it hit me on, ahem, the other end. My mother claimed during the meal that the food has been good here, but not today. This is more than an off day. read more

Oh no! It's been a year since I've eaten here. Took a dear friend of mine here for lunch been talking it up all week. How I miss the wonderful rice and beans and not to mention chicken tortilla soup. Today I tried something different. It was the shrimp with garlic with rice and beans. Shrimp were barely cooked. The garlic was not cooked at all no flavor. The rice was very bland and the beans had a real funk taste to them. Was there at 12:30 today barely 5 tables in the whole restaurant. There must be new owners. This is not the same place. As soon as you sit they bring out bowls of chips and spicy salsa, they don't skimp on either one like other places do . Mostly locals in here, lots of room even when crowded, they easily handled a large party (25) I was with today (Sunday) with zero problems and no hassle over separate checks . Quite a few different bottled beers, not sure if they have a tap . Several large screen T.V.'s tuned to various sports games . Plenty of easy parking right out front . The men's bathroom is terrific ~ an ante chamber withurinal, sink, soap and towels,the pot is behind another door so no waiting when you're dropping off excess coffee . I have been going here since I was in high-school with my mama. Since day one I've ordered the same plate which is the camarones a la diabla and always delish its never disappointed. No complaints. My chile colorado omelette was delicious...great flavor and the meat was so tender! We arrived right at 10am on a Friday, so it wasn't crowded like our previous visit for dinner. My husband took me here for our anniversary date! I completely loved it although the birria is a bit salty it wasn't so bad. The guacamole was served fresh along with the taquitos my hunny ordered. The employees were very nice to my husband & I. I love that they were bilingual too-- I love speaking my native tongue, Spanish, so to be able to communicate with them was pleasing! The drinks were okay. I ordered a Jamaica beverage, my mom makes the BEST Jamaica with real ingredients so I would rate their Jamaica a 2/5 just because I know it's not made with authentic plants/herbs. Been here many times and I tell you, the beer on tap NEVER dissapoints! They always have a great selection of craft beers, and I mean the real independent craft beers, not the big guy craft beers. And, every Thursday they have mariachis that play just about any song you throw at 'em. The food and service is hit or miss though. But, when it's good, it's good. read more

Beaumont is a small town and we pretty much all know each other (we are also business owners) so it makes it even harder to write this. We have been coming here for over 6 years, but we will no longer be spending our money here. Over the years certain portions continued to dwindle but the prices continued to rise (we support certain price inflations) but at least make the order correctly. :( Our 3 previous take out orders were made incorrectly but we decided to give it one more shot (this place used to be so good, you hold onto hope) lol. (I have grown tired of calling places to let them know we were missing items or it was made incorrectly). I am always polite when I call places but no matter what, I still feel bad for calling even as a business owner. So now we just stop eating at places that mess up multiple times. We ordered fajitas (extra onions with No bell peppers). As you can see we received more peppers than anything, literally 3 or 4 little slivers of onion and the meat was by far the worst part. :( The chicken and steak were so chewy and this is not the first time it has been that way. We only ordered a chicken/cheese quesadilla (a la carte) and 1 order of fajitas with extra onions (which we did not get). :( Our total was $50!!!!!! The quesadilla comes with nothing except for a scoop of sour cream and guacamole (which is fine but not for the price). And the fajitas came with literally no meat, lots of peppers (for those that love them) a scoop of rice and beans. $50!!!! It was enough for one person on the fajitas but not 2! I had asked them on the phone if we could add meat because the fajitas would be for 2 (normally places can accommodate adding extra meat for a little more money and in the past they had done that for us). We were told "No" at first, but then when I repeated it again, she said it was $5 for 3 ounces of steak. Get out of here. At least give someone one full piece of chicken breast for $5. This gets better (sadly) I had asked if there were chips and salsa (also offering to pay for more) and she said there were some in there. Y'all it was a tiny little bag of (maybe) 10 chips. (Insert palm to the face) when opening all of this up. We had said up front, we wanted to pay for more (meaning: what y'all give is probably not enough, let me pay for more) but I was assured it was good. It was all a mess and we were bummed that after driving up from San Diego to check on our business, our lunch was less than par. Sorry to say we won't be back. Thank you guys though for the good run in the past. :) read more
