We all like shopping at Ross its great you find deals if you willing to dig HOWEVER - I KNOW this place can get crowded cause it's in a mall and all but this location is so messy and cramped - shopping here gives me anxiety. You can barely fit a cart between any of the clothes aisles. If someone is already in there looking you cannot go into the same aisle, you need to walk all around to maneuver- its STRESSFUL. When you have a retail background you KNOW how horrible this is for customers and sales personnel. They have clothes BEHIND a pilar squeezed in a spot no one can reach. Why not have the racks adjacent to the pillar so it does not become a barricade? Does fire marshals even have this spot on their radar cause daaaaang..... read more

The hubby asked, where are we going next, while having dinner at Black Angus and I just thought about my son, he asked me where to should to buy a pillow, this morning. I know just the answer, lets go to Ross!! We made a stop here which was along the way, perfect. I didn't shop/look at the other goods, walked straight to the bedding section which is all the way to the end, on left side. Now deciding which pillow to get for my son was the hard part. Going through the different packages of pillow, was hard to decide, ended up selecting 2 different brand, asked AI for advice. hehe. The 2 pack Serta pillow and the Perfect Comfort bamboo luxury memory foam cluster pillow , both are the same price at $14.99. AI listed the difference and prefers the Perfect comfort one, for comfort so I went with that one. I let AI select the pillow for me, hehe. I shared this AI story with my son and hubby and they were shocked, what technology can do. It was getting late so I didn't shop, I usually come out with more items than I needed but not this time. Seems like there is always a longer wait in line here, I think they are short staff. I love the Ross .99 bags reusable bags, they have new prints!! When in doubt, ask AI . I LOVE THIS ROSS!!!! I'm not going to lie. I prefer this Ross over the one in Kapolei. I can be here for hours and hours and hours. There are genuine treasures in here!!! I found Daise foaming body wash in Cherry wish for only $4.99. Usually, I'd find this retailed at a much higher price at Target. That was a GREAT find. I also randomly found a carnival funnel cake pitcher & mix. I can't wait to make that at home. I also got a Firestone brand phone mount for the car but unfortunately it falls off easily. I'm thinking a little gorilla glue will solve the problem. I am looking forward to my next visit. A lot of the furniture actually looks substantial. I loved looking at the home goods section. The pet section had a lot of amazing clothes for dogs. They were amazing bar goods. I also loved the beauty section. My best find was the Brookshire Cold Plunge tub for about $30+. It perfectly fits one Andrea. My plan is to bathe my dogs in it so I will update my review when that happens. The Paris Hilton paw cleaned was really nice as well and did a good job cleaning my dog's paws. Now I know to go to this Ross when looking for great pet finds because I went home with 2 pretty amazing looking couches for my frenchies. It was a very successful shopping trip and experience. Don't skip on their 99 cent tote bags. They're always so nicely designed and reliable. I got the dog with glasses design this time. The cashier was so kind and helpful. I gave her a $200 budget. She kept giving me the price as I added more for her to scan so I had to go by priority and I still went over by $40+ because I really wanted it all... lol I'm telling you this Ross was dangerous for my wallet but it was very necessary retail therapy. My only complaint is the bathroom cleanliness. I do see that there is a checklist at the door that there is someone monitoring it, but unfortunately, it still needs detailed attention especially under the stall. Looks like Mr. Spider-Man left a couple of his uneaten friends. The sink also needs attention. Although I am grateful for the monitored key access to bathrooms, since I am such a huge advocate for that, more attention to restroom cleanliness would make the customer experience a better experience. Went to Ross today after an appointment to update my registration. Found some socks to purchase and stood in long line where there was only two cashiers working. I guess it's a standing joke about Ross always having 16 registers and always one to two cashiers. This problem has had us changing our mind and putting back merchandise to avoid the long lines. The thing is they have more security standing in the store than they have cashiers..... Once we finalized our purchase as we went to walk out the door the security asked to review our receipt and open our bags. New policy we were informed that they have decided they are Costco or Walmart. Maybe theft is an issue but...the security person is standing less than 10 feet away from the resister where we just made our purchase. I was having trouble with one of the Ross stores and the manger wasn't letting me get a refund for a simple item. So, I called this Ross and the manager answered the phone and said she would definitely take the item back even if used because I had the receipt and that I could take my time because she was the closing manager. I went there and she was there when I came. I got my refund. So glad! read more

Shopping at Pearlridge Mall in Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii... I remembered that I needed to get a drain strainer for the bathtub. Since I was at Pali Momi for a doctor's appointment, I walked over to Ross on Moanalua Road. The free parking is right in front of the entrance. If you're at the mall already, you can enter Ross from the other side. When I'm at Ross, I like to look at pet toys, caps, stationary, kitchen gadgets, shoes, and personal care items. I saw a cute duckie strainer, but it's more for a kitchen sink and probably is too big for the bathtub. Shucks. I did see a lot of name brand items at discount prices... I must resist... LOL! Then... I saw some small, round felt pads (with adhesive) that protect floors when chairs or tables are dragged across a room. I wanted to get them for our mahjong group - for our wooden tile racks - to tilt them back a little so that the tiles don't fall forward. Terrible customer service today on 5/10 at around 2:40 I was accused of cutting the line by the cashier, while there was no line he still insisted that I cut the line while the person in back me vouched that I was before him. Although I often visit this location after work and on my day offs. I have noticed a strange trend of being followed or glanced at by employees while shopping. I'm a Ross credit card member and a member of the clergy. Perhaps, it is the way I dress and how I always am wearing a backpack that is suspicious? I don't know. Merchandise wise, could be better. Ewa Beach location has more options and a friendly staff that contributes to a pleasant shopping experience. Not so at Ross pearl ridge. It's just downright unpleasant for me now. On this day it sure was, looking for an outfit had been the struggle when it's very specific and I needed to get creative at this point but even then I just couldn't find it...sigh! After searching I think I found what I've been looking for that illusive items basically almost the whole ensemble in one place woohoo!!! You never know what you'll find so whenever I'm nearby my curiosity just gets me to say "let's just see..." lol that's where I do get into trouble or lucky is what I'd say lol! This location isn't the biggest but I do believe each location does have it's selling point but was glad to find so many things and yes it was needed, line was very long but the staff worked it's magic and it moved very fast and I understand many places are short staffed so please be kind. Wow, another first for me! I've never been in a Ross store, I'm a very specific buyer which is why I generally shop online at stores I repeatedly purchase from. I most likely would not have been in this store had I not had a conversation with tech at a vet hospital about the ridiculous price for pet poo bags. Back in January I found I was in desperate need of those disposable bags on my trip to Sofie's vet so stopped at Petco where we ran in and grabbed a pack of eight rolls, 120 for a mere $18.99. I inwardly fumed, paid for my poop bags and decided I wasn't returning to this chain ever again. Back to the above referenced conversation, I was advised she gets all her pet supplies from Ross for less than a third of the price....okay I'll give it a try. Finding parking here is a feat but people are in and out so two trips around I was able to score parking. I went directly to the fairly small pet section and scored two eight packs of bags. Not only were they ONLY $3.99 there are 160 bags per pack. I also bought the As Seen On TV Fur Daddy to remove pet fur from our stairs. While not a huge selection there were a lot of things from bowls to doggie clothes. I maneuvered my way to the cash registers encountering a number of shoppers who would not allow passage as they looked at every item on the rack. The racks are placed really close together so it is difficult to pass through. All cashiers are accessed through one main line which makes it move quickly. I got an awesome cashier who made this experience so much better with her enthusiastic attitude. She asked how my adventure was, told her it was my first time in a Ross store , she bubble over telling me I picked a great day as it was a Discount Tuesday and my purchases were 10% off. I was happy before the discount but hey I skipped out the door with my purchases knowing I would return. read more

It's always a surprise shopping here. You never know what you're going to get. That's the fun of it all. Took me years to get the hang of it. Now, it's a regular, like Long's! Home goods is my number one section. Always something you thought you didn't need until you found it here! Love all my great finds over the years. The clothing is overwhelming so every now and then something will catch my eye and "Bingo!", it's a winner. It's become the go to store for Toys, especially for our Christmas Angel Tree sponsored by The Salvation Army. Enjoy being able to give more with the savings, so instead of one, I'll give 4 or 5 gifts per child. It just feels good to spread the joy with all in need. We have a great Community of helpers. 1 December 2020 It seems every Ross is always/always full with customers. Today at this location was no different. We visited this location since we were in the immediate vicinity taking care of an appointment. We went here primarily to return an item but ended up buying a few other things. In addition to the large number of people inside Ross at any given time, the checkout lines are always equally long. One thing I noticed and don't fancy too much is the "shared cashier responsibilities". What I mean is - some other similar businesses have designated counters solely for returns, not Ross. Although they have a separate line for customers returning items, you still have to wait for a cashier to notice you and call specifically for returns. I understand having a designated cashier for returns is a double edged sword; they may busy constantly accepting returns or not busy at all. I just think the current method is a bit ineffective. Anyway, our cashier, Michel (one 'l' according to her name tag) was friendly and explained the voucher to me after returning an item. She was also the same cashier I got when I was ready to check out after browsing the store. The store have these covid restrictions in place: - Face masks required for entering - limiting the numer of customers in the store and employees at both entrance counting the number of customers - one-way directional arrows in the aisles (although customers don't always notice or just don't care to follow the directions) - cashier wiping down frequently touched surfaces - hand sanitizer available throughout the store Overall, I like Ross because they are an inexpensive alternative for a lot of items. read more

This is my favorite Ross. Actually, the only Ross I'll shop at! Of course good prices, that's why people come here but the inventory is always fresh. Not sure if it's just luck but we do find most clothing items we need for our kids here. Parents, we all know how valuable that is. Especially for us with three growing kids. Open at 7 a.m. today? Awesome! Last week I tried to go to the one close to home but no parking spot available...had to come today cuz the mall will get crazy busy with last minute Xmas shopping. Did a fast get dressed, sunscreen & mascara on to head quickly to Pearlridge. Found a stall, I was SO happy! I needed more puppy pads and a doggy bed for my granddaughter's dog Bear Bear for Christmas. Also found new towels and bath mats since my daughter is coming home for the holidays. Popped a picture frame into the cart. Even bought more to feed my panty fetish- what is wrong with me? I blame it on the lace and good price for three to a hanger. Everything fit into my Ross pre-purchased tote. Leaving the store of course it beeped. I showed the security guy training another guy my $84 receipt. Wouldn't you know it? As he went through my bag and was touching everything, he found the sensor - it was on one of the trio of panties. He looked at the price tag, checked the receipt saying You're fine mam, let me take off the sensor for you. Again he checks the receipt and tells the younger guy, Clerk 3. We were waiting around stalling time last night, made a detour and decided to check out Ross. Who doesn't love Ross?? Ross always has unusual items. Items that you may think they don't carry and they do. We found a pack of 24 gel pens for $6, what a deal!! Because we went at night it wasn't that crowded at all. The shelves were fully stocked. Lots of parking outside as well. My favorite part is waiting in the check out line and finding yummy treats (that i shouldn't be buying) but they are so yummy! I came to Ross this evening on a Tuesday and usually Tuesdays are for Kupuna so if you are 55 years old and older you are eligible for a 10% discount. Just make sure that you present your ID to the cashiers when you are ready to check out ;-) Although I am not Kupuna LOL, I went in for a few items today for some holiday gifts and ideas on what to get for a few friends and family.... And of course for myself ha ha. I stand in that line that went all the way back nearest to the opposite side of the store where the other registers were... Although!!! The line went super Duper fast and I'd say about a 5-6 minute wait time. Keep yourself busy in the line as you go through the snack aisle and see what's good especially for the holidays. I definitely recommend their eggnog white bars for the holidays and their cookies like their short bread cookies, gingerbread cookies, even Knottsberry farm cookies... So good. I even got some pieces of jewelry this evening and the wait time was that I didn't even have to wait for the associate to assist me... The associate was very patient and my decision making with which jewelry I wanted and kindly placed it in a jewelry box for each piece and put it on hold for me until I checked out. Their customer service is truly great and they're stock and shipment is a big plus!!!!! They really know how to control the capacity in the store for safety reasons, and the customers honestly, they really do distance themselves even though from all the way in the back of the line, there are no markings..., yet they know how to respectfully show their social distancing and control in the store. I am a complete night owl, so the fact that this Ross has late operating hours can be really convenient for me. Especially during the holiday season, their hours were insane! This location is convenient especially being on the top level of Pearlridge (phase 2, Uptown? no idea what the sides are called now days). They also have their own parking area. With a stairway near the entrance and an elevator inside the store, just makes it that much easier to access the rest of the mall. For the most part, this store is pretty organized. Everything has it's own section so it makes it easier to find. Clothing separated by babies, children (boys/girls), Adults (men/women), shoes, toys, home goods, linens, crafts, etc... There are separate dressing rooms for trying on clothes. Bathrooms are nearby the dressing rooms, always clean when I visit. For some reason they have two different check out areas, one at the mall entrance and one at the parking entrance. The parking entrance registers are the only ones in use. Even during the holidays, the other checkout area weren't in use... Ever since Ross has been open, it has been my go-to store for just about everything. The prices are very affordable even for some name brands like Calvin Klein, Juicy Couture, Adidas, etc... When you have a big family, low prices are important! My kids can stay in style, get the toys they like and sometimes find interesting snacks for school, all on a nice budget. As long as Ross is in business here, we will definitely continue to shop here. Highly recommended to all! read more

Love & hate this Ross for several reasons. Let's first get the cons out of the way and end on a positive note. So first, aisles are awfully narrow and annoying to maneuver around when it's crowded. Cashiers don't have not even the slightest happy attitude. They're mostly quiet and facial expressions to be described as blah or constipated lol. Another odd con was that I purchased multiple big home items and the cashier offered for me to leave it at the register and pull my car closer. With 2 kids in tow, she also said that they couldn't bring it out to me. I laughed so hard. I'm not leaving my car with my 2 kids, including an infant in the car while I run in and get my shii* only to find either my car and kids gone or the police waiting for me. Hello. On the brighter side, I love this location better than there old spot by CPK. Parking is usually a hit off mall hours or during the evening. And I love finding such great bargains! Home, shoes, and clothing aisles are a hit for me. The baby sections could be better though! All in all, the bad hasn't deterred me away from this location so I'll be back! read more

Yesterday, my friend and I had a very disrespectful and unprofessional experience while shopping. As we discussed snacks in the check-out line, a lady loudly yelled at us with an attitude. When I inquired about her behavior, she claimed to have called us. I mentioned my three years of experience at Ross, where I never witnessed such treatment of customers. Her disrespectful response and refusal to let me speak to the manager, stating she was the master manager named Heather, left us disappointed. This past weekend, Brekky Buddy @Maile K. & I found ourselves finished with breakfast, and time to kill before our shopping destination opened, so we took a detour to Ross at Pearlridge. It was an easy jaunt, and we found parking right away (it was early on a Saturday morning, so that wasn't hard!) We really appreciate that Ross stores open earlier than many stores! When you park in the Pearlridge parking lot, there's a Ross sign right next to their competition (I don't think I'm supposed to name it here, so I won't). When you make your way toward the sign, there's no doors--just an elevator, since the main entrance is inside the mall. It's ok, you're in the right place...but it is weird when you get out of the elevator smack into the men's shoe section. It's ok since it's not too crowded there. This may have been my first time at this Ross location--I believe they moved from a previous nearby space, but I could be wrong. At any rate, we had time to kill, so I took my time exploring. I was happy to find several useful items, and to my pleasant surprise, instead of there being just 1 of an item that I needed 4 of, they had plenty! Nice stocking!! Checkout was fast and easy, and my cashier was quite friendly. If I could give zero stars I would. Workers are rude like they're being Forced to work there, if you don't like your work then quit and find something else. The checkout lines are always long and the most I've seen is 3 cashiers at most. What sucks is the returns line and purchase line is 1 now and not separate like prior. When I went must've not had a delivery or something because it seemed empty and not very much selection for boys clothes. When we checked out and got home I noticed I was charged TWICE for 1 item and they won't refund me so now I have to call my card company and file a dispute for it. I can imagine how many times other customers have gotten charged multiple times and didn't catch it. Make sure to watch when getting scanned. read more

12/3/22 worst experience ever here. Store was packed with customers and inventory was loaded. The problem was that the checkout line wasn't moving. There was only 2 registers open while the line was 30+ deep. Many customers just abandoned their wagon full of items in the isles. Not willing to wait, many said screw it. Several reasons why I like this location..., 1. It's convenient and close to home. 2. It opens earlier than the other shops at the mall. 3. Because it's in the mall, I can shop and eat. 4. The staff here is pretty friendly. 5. The prices are great I've been coming here since they've opened and I have never had a problem. The only thing I don't like is that they recently changed their floor plan and placing of their racks. I think someone needs to revisit this!!! HALLOWEEN SHOPPING REVIEW I hit up a few places for Halloween every year like clockwork and Ross is usually on my hit-list. Pier One is next door and I usually hit Ross first then Pier One second. This year I went to Ross, found my Halloween stuff, saw the AMAZINGLY LONG LINE and hid all my junk in the corner and went to Pier One. When I came back from Pier One, the line was gone. I swear that was the longest line I have ever seen in my life at Ross clothes store!! OK, back to the review. Great for: Baking and Cooking and Tableware for Halloween. Wilton skull cake pans, Wilton vampire fang cookie cutters, silicone pumpkin baking molds, cupcake sprinkles, etc. As everyone knows, Ross merchandise is really a mixed bag of junks. Sometimes you find good stuff and most times its junk, at least it is for the Halloween stuff anyway. TIPS for finding stuff at Ross (any store location) : Go early, like almost a month ahead. Go often, if you have the time and patience as they bring in stuff frequently especially early-on. Some of my best Halloween finds have been stuff I bought in September, like my treasured Dept 56 Halloween pumpkin dish set, my Bodum ghost plate and coffee cup set and my skeleton fairy tree ornaments. If you go later, you'll find only the dreggiest of all dreggy junks. Last week I found some treasures but I was bit disgusted as I had already ordered the same stuff on Amazon....and here it was in the Aiea Ross for way cheaper!! You just have to be prepared for potentially defective merchandise, digging around for junk and standing in ridiculously long lines to get what you want. read more

To start off I LOVE ross. The parking area gets a bit busy around lunch(as other places) & the times school & work people get off around 2-3pm. I usually go around 9-10pm so it's not that busy. This location can get really ugly, as in mess & unorganized. Maybe it's because I go when it's almost closing & everyone just puts things everywhere. This or any other ross is always a hit or miss. There's times I get lucky & get good deals & sometimes nothing at all(which sucks). I gave this ross a 3 because they suck when it's time to check out.
