I would give 0 stars if it were possible. I have been to this Ross several times, and it usually has the worst selections of items. The merchandise just seems tackier and plain uglier when it is at this store. My last visit is probably the last time I will ever come here again. There were three cashiers. Two of the cashiers were abuelas in their 60s and the other cashier lady was probably early 20s. There were two people in front of me and with 3 cashiers, I still had to wait for like 10 minutes. The two abuelas cashiers were technologically illiterate and were SO SLOW helping the customers. Abuelas, IT'S NOT HARD TO PRESS BUTTONS ON A REGISTER. The customers were paying for no more than three items... AND IT STILL TOOK THEM 10 MINUTES to complete their transactions. Anyways while the slow abuelas were helping out two customers, I got wrung up by the cashier in her 20s. And guess what? THAT PARTICULAR REGISTER DOESN'T WORK WITH APPLE PAY... I just left. I don't know why they have a security guard at the entrance for. I thought I had lost my keys. I noticed while I was checking out, and the cashier told me to ask the security guard if he had any keys turned in. The security guard looked out of it and confused when I asked him if anyone had turned in some keys recently. So then I went back to the fitting room because that is where I had been last, and the girl was way more helpful than anyone. She told me i could maybe ask the security guard to look through the cameras. So there I go again back to the security guard and ask him if there is any way of him checking the cameras. He looks away and shakes his head and mumbled something I couldn't hear. So I asked him again, and he shook his head and said " no, I can't do that, you can leave us your information and if anyone turns them in..." I was like ?? Ross has ALL these damn cameras all over the place and they can't review the footage? ( I didn't tell him that, I was just thinking it!) so then he radios the manager and I walk away to go look for my keys. Then I see the manager come out looking like she's ready to fight and then that's when I find keys stuck on a shirt I had put back. This is the WORST Ross in the whole state of California. I've been to so many over the last 20 years and this is the most memorable for a few reasons. Number one, it's got the least good selection of clothes and shoes. Number two, it's gross. It's filthy and poorly maintained. Number three, it's severely understaffed at the hands of their own greed. Believe me this store is turning in MAJOR numbers to the owner/corporation. It's often shoulder to shoulder in here with rich Chinese money! There is absolutely no reason this store should be understaffed and for anyone to have to wait in line for 45 minutes. I love shopping at Ross. Most times very unorganized but I always end up buying good stuff there. However I just stumbled across some lady that works there, I asked her a question in English and she responded in Spanish she only spoke Spanish which is totally fine but her facial expressions were not it. Purchased two candles from Ross and decided to return one of them. Did not have a good experience. Went into the store and stood in the returns line and watched the cashiers handle purchase transactions for at least 12 customers before they called us over. Don't really understand the point of having a returns line if it's just to have people returning products wait and watch as they called "purchases at #4" or "purchases at #1" 12 times. Maybe it's to discourage people from making returns? The candle transaction took less than 3 minutes since I paid with card and it was returned automatically. Won't be returning. read more

This location is always crowded and I am not kidding. Parking is located behind the store. This store is 2 stories so there are tons of stuff. This store has a lot of random items and it just looks like chaos right when you walk in. The clothes are at least organized by sections and the sale section is a complete mess. I wouldn't even head towards that section. My head starts pounding right when I look that way. Besides from clothes, you can shop for shoes, accessories, hair devices, luggages, hair and skin care, bath accessories, kitchen ware, etc. There is even men section. I've stopped going to Ross after living in OC for quite some years, but I haven't forgotten this treasure. I used to shop at Ross before college and it was really the go-to spot. I spotted brands you would probably know of - Burberry (perfumes), Nike, Guess, Tommy, BCBG, etc. I scored a really cute pair of stilettos (BCBGeneration) for only $12. What a bargain of a century! I was tempted to get their Steve Madden crossbody purse (in-style right now), but decided not to. :( Anyway, one warning- be sure to microanalyze the details of all their products. I was glad I tried on their long sleeved shirt before buying because I realize there was a tear near the armpit! Oh yeah, be sure to analyze their shoes, too. The store is extremely disorganized and most of the items are not very good in quality. Burlington across the street is somewhat better. They have higher quality items and the store is more organized. Marshall's and TJ Maxx are even better, though they don't have stores in Alhambra. They sell considerably higher quality merchandise. They give good value. They sell name brands and even designer labels such as Ralph Lauren. As an example, I got a 20 lb. medicine ball for $20.
